Fly it proud and high !
Flag day should always be celebrated , and never taken for granted.
From a Marist deciding to do something that was needed by the people , to eight in a row CHAMPIONS with over 100 million turnover is quite an effort ,, but we made it and here we are.
Many would have halted this , and tried , through means nefarious or questionably legal , but AGAIN we stand here victors.
AIN’T EIGHT GREAT !

The week between end of campaign and Cup final is holiday time for 99.9 percent or so of the professionals plying their trade up north.
Lots will have dreamed about this day all season and be on flights abroad probably as you read this.
And as usual our Bhoys dont have that luxury ,, although I doubt they see it in those terms.
Especially not with History awaiting ,, more than usual this time.
And yesterday seen us approach this historic final with what mattered most , the victory tucked under our belt to help deflate Craig’s lad’s for a week and hopefully more after that .
As pointed out we were stretched thin, and it showed at times , but ultimately was not used as an excuse in defeat but instead those given a chance did what we all ( especially the dugout surely ) wanted and actually tried hard to play their way into future plans , or maybe go out on a high for some who might not appear in Paradise again , for us anyway.
And whoever ends up in charge they were given a wee nudge towards considering the home grown talent when looking at any positions that may or may not need filled.
End of season flag game is the perfect occasion for a glimpse of a possible star of the future and those in attendance were spoilt for choice.
We had 8 homegrowns in the squad by my reckoning ,, one beautiful stat that should bring pride.
11 homegrown starters is a glorious aim ,, who’s to say we couldn’t hit it with the right strategy and managerial appointments. Turned out well last time.
Our much talked about starlet Karamoko Dembele got his first team run out , with positive reports plenty from those who clearly liked what they saw in that time.
Young Master Henderson played an assist for the opener in a goal that was made at the academy.
The show was stolen by our teenage striker Mikey Johnston though with a lovely brace that will have spurred him on big time as will his MOTM award that was thoroughly deserved .
All in all on a day that many had us either getting kicked off the park or losing to give the Jambos a shot in the arm we walked away smiling and laughing , and thus the celebrations were just better !
And lets face it , a goalkeeping blunder gave them a shot in the arm and they are few and far between . It would be easy to sit here and have a go at Scott Bain for his end of season howler but the upcoming end of season review will show that putting him between the sticks in the first place was one large factor in our tearing away when the gap was at its shortest and as such I will just shrug my shoulders at what happened.
Besides, much rather this game than the next one if theres a blip there waiting .
By my estimation 5 of those starting are possible / probable departures and they were joined on the podium by a few more.
Notable was Mikael Lustig who did a John Terry and got changed into the kit to celebrate with his ( for one last week sniffle ) still team mates. In the big Swedes defence everyone else got changed also. He has been a fantastic servant but more on Mik later.
The Thumb got a great cheer if not a run out which would have been fairytale stuff.
It was quite humorous to hear Marvelous Marvin Compper given a huge cheer but that seems to be because we finally laid eyes on him confirming the existence of the much sought after ( to effing play by those paying his wages ) defender .
All in all it was exactly what we want and where we want it to be ,, the flag flying at home and an end of season party with a youngun or two to tease us with a glimpse of the future.
Our Bhoys will no doubt have a relaxing week after a vigorous campaign with a few last minute injury checks scheduled for Friday morning I would bet.
One can also imagine no one , not even the outer squad players , going anywhere this week at all and not only due to cover in the squad but what might shape out to be a one of a kind feat.
Again more on the importance of the triple treble attempt later in the week as we near the big one.
Although yesterday’s victory was just what the doctor ordered in no way shape or form should even the slightest hint of complacency set in regarding this Cup Final as that’s a different beast on their patch . Lenny should and no doubt will drum this into the lads all week ,,, forget that game its done ,, we move on to the next one and give it all to win this game ,, give absolutely everything as the whole of the country wants you to fail and we should ram that down their throats as much as possible ,, with pure inventive football of course.
As for Neil himself he spoke well of beginning the ten .
We will all remember no doubt Walter just piping Lenny to the title and disappearing leaving Ally who fancied a bit of that ginger bashing himself.
Unlucky for him Lenny chewed him up and spat him out so bad they went soo far behind it was easier to liquidate as then they had a legitimate excuse to lose and still sell season tickets with “ Super “ still in charge. A plan of Blackadder cunningness. Of course Ally reverted to threats in the Shame Game when he couldn’t beat Neil from the dugout.
Keep an eye out for Leveins gob at the end of play Cup final and see if he will have a bit of grace in what is hopefully defeat and his final game in the dugout.
He’s not that old per se but in domestic football terms he’s a dinosaur who’s best days are well behind him and should either be moved on for the Jambos sake and not upstairs again as his decisions sucked that much he was forced into the breach himself . Admirable that he would get hands on if needed but there’s a big lesson to be learned there by Budge.
Its the gaffers job now to prime his lads for the task at hand ,, and Neil himself must push everything else about the job and future to the side and find whatever way is necessary to win this game.
Its the big one . The Champions March Onwards To History !

FAN-A-TIC has also provided his point-by-point match review, for which we are ever grateful.
Celtic v Hearts 19 th May 2019 Flag Day!
Bain; Ralston, Benkovic, Ajer, Toljan; Bitton, Ntcham, Henderson, Johnston, Sinclair; Burke.
Subs: De Vries, Simunovic, Church, Welsh, McGregor, Oko-Flex, Dembele
Happy to see youngsters getting game time.
Also i think Ntcham will thrive with more positive players around him like Henderson.
Celtic start the game using the positive energy of the crowd to get on the front foot.
2nd minute Ntcham finds MJ with a great cross field ball and Mikey cuts inside slips ball to Henderson who returns pass and Mikeys fires home at near post.
3rd minute Hearts give immediate response but shoot past post.
10 minutes Ntcham has a good shot blocked for corner.
13th minute Henderson and MJ with lovely passing move on right but Hearts clear.
17th minute Hearts equalize after Bain clipped from behind as he tried to clear.Should have been a foul.
19th minute Good interplay between MJ and Ralston but Hearts clear.
21st minute Again good play by MJ and Ralston that leads to a corner.
23rd minute More from MJ and Ralston but cross cleared.
27th minute one thing we need improvement upon is our spacing between D -Midfield and attack.to many large gaps between. We have to compress space more as it allows creative players to much time to hurt us..
28th minute good SS run end with a poor cross.
30 th minute The movement off our youngsters is far superior to the experienced guys.
32nd minute And great back check by SS snuffs out dangerous Hearts attack.
33rd minute Henderson puts great ball across 6 yard box but no one attacks it.
38th minute Noticeable that SS,Burke and Toljan looking unsure of their roles.
Ntcham linking play excellently.
And youngsters showing better movement and understanding from youth coaching.
40th minute SS wins chase and is clear but Thomson pulls it back for imaginary foul.
46th minute Brilliant interplay by Henderson and MJ to set up Toljan who hesitates then skies shot.
Half time.
Dembele replaces the lost Burke for start of second to a great reception.
46th minute Dembele hits a fantastic forward pass to Bitton whose control lets him down and chance cleared.
48th minute great MJ trickery forces keeper into great save at post.
49th minute great closing down by Bitton creates chance for SS who shoots wide when pass was better option.
51st minute Dembele rides a brutal challenge and shoots just wide.
52nd minute Keeper saves from MJ after wonderful skill from Ntcham.
54th minute Dembele shot saved at near post after wonderful Henderson through ball.
55th minute Dembele shot deflected wide by an offside SS.
58th minute MJ robs defender but cross cleared.
63rd minute McGregor replaces Henderson who had another good game.
65th minute SS fouled in good position .He then hits weak effort off the wall.
73rd minute Ntcham shot blocked after nice passing play by McGregor and Dembele.
76th minute Ralston gives away free in dangerous area but Bain collects poor cross.
80th minute Ajer slaloms downfield and his shot hits defenders hand which was away from body.Unsurprisingly cheat Thomson ignores.
83rd minute MJ picks ball up in central area and plays one/two with McGregor before firing into net.
Game was never in doubt after that and came to inevitable conclusion.
One thing that was apparent was the refs willingness to allow Hearts to leave the foot in on every challenge.
The boot from behind was standard.
Is this an sfa edict?
The future looks bright and was noticeable that the youngsters all showed great movement and creativity.
The sad thing is the sfa and refs will allow the sluggers to level the playing field and endanger our young stars.
Hopefully the board realize what prize assets we have amongst our youth and splash the cash on a coach and some experienced players to create an environment they can flourish in.
Hail Hail to the 8 in a row Champions!

I think the cumulative age of our starting line-up was 249,which is considerably less than the cumulative age of The Rolling Stones-and there’s only four of them!
That average age, less than 23yo,was actually reduced by the introduction of our substitutes. Quite impressive stuff, even if NL’s hand was forced by injury.
Henderson played well, some good touches. Very confident with and without the ball. Ntcham looked more like the player he was when he signed, and Michael Johnston was firing them in from all over, only some great keeping limited him to two goals.
As for Karamoko, some of us were lucky enough to witness him winning Player of the Tournament in Dublin three years ago. Having just turned 13,and playing in an U-16 tournament against the likes of Barcelona,Anderlecht and a few other big European names.
If those three can kick on,I think we will all be delighted.
FAN-A-TIC
I couldn’t see this game live as it finished way past my bedtime on a Sunday. I watched the highlights though, and the BBC edited out nearly all of the kicking. Only the one on Dembele was shown, and that was because he bounced straight back up and fired in a shot.
Small in stature, big in heart, huge in talent and a shot like a rocket as well. I hope the club are already looking to tie him to as long a contract as is legally possible at his age.
From an article in today’s Guardian, under the heading Biggest Gripes.
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/may/14/premier-league-2018-19-season-review-our-writers-best-and-worst
Nick Ames-Cut out the pre-match light shows that have crept in over the last couple of seasons. In some hapless cases they have even been put on in harsh daylight. The exhortations from PA announcers to take your seats for the spectacle might as well be direct instructions for supporters to surrender any inclination to whip up an atmosphere of their own. Will clubs ever get bored of infantilising their fans?

Do they mean us? They surely do. Pile of puerile pish and a waste of money when you have fans like ours.
Was good to see the younger players yesterday, good stuff Celtic!
HH
MONTI
Good to see you back on,mate. My family were at the match yesterday as I slept through it 400 miles away!
I reckon that’s the youngest side we’ve fielded since Dalglish’s last game in 2000. Though few of that team made it with us,I’ve got more hope for the youngsters currently on show.
The wee man’s introduction energised the whole support, both at the ground and watching on TV. You could see and feel the lift everyone got every time he got on the ball. My only disappointment was that he didn’t tell Sinky to do one at the free kick ??. Would have loved to see him curl one into the top corner.
We done what we had to do with a team selection that was down to the threads.
It was great to see some of the Hearts players looking uneasy every time Karamoko Dembele ran at them. The lad clearly has talent and could go onto being something special. Now for next week.
Monti, ya maniac, good to see you on here again, mate. I suspect you’re gutted with your favourite player for the off to Germany. Lol
I hope yer well big lad.
Bobby/ Noel,
Cheers Bhoys, i couldn’t be better or happier.
Was really good see the young players do well yesterday, it’s vital these young giys push on now.
Mikey Johnston starts on Saturday for me.
HH
SOLKITTS
He’s just a fantastic wee fitba’ player,an old-style tanner ba’ player. As you say,the kind of player who can get bums on seats and bums off seats at the same time.
You just knew that the fans were willing the players to “give it to the wee man.”
It’s a long time since we had a player like that.
Monti, Hiya pal, I’m assuming you are Monti from Etims. If so, what’s up over there? I read the articles most days but I don’t post or read the comments much. Lots of days now with no articles. Is Ralph OK?
JIMTHETIM53
Seems “Ralph” is working away from home and struggling with internet connection.
I’m sure normal service will be resumed ASAP,it’s a great site which is much missed at the moment.
“Ralph” has also been a good friend to this site, allowing me to post links to articles from here. Though I try not to take advantage of his good nature too much!
Oh,btw,I’ve won the Caption of the Day competition a good few times anaw!
Bobby, whilst we are on the subject I also miss the Clumpany an awful lot. I used to marvel at how he managed to produce those satirical articles every day. Maybe he is burnt out! Regardless, the very best wishes to him.
Yes I noticed you on Etims a few times using your Mick moniker! 🙂

The D’Finnhein bit is from the “Gaelic translation” of Kilwinning that they display at the station.
Pisses of the local huns,I’ve told them it means Fenian Chapel.
Bobby, I have a confession to make. Years ago a pal of mine took me into the ‘Mother’ Lodge of the masons in Kilwinning. It was to meet up with his brother in law. A Sunday afternoon after I had been to mass! I felt dirty! Ha ha, only kidding, they were all very friendly but I didn’t convert.
Btw, it was the social club, not the temple!
Turnbull at Motherwell might be worth a punt, rave reviews all season
Hi Everyone,
Yes, yesterday was special. Hearts fielded a lot of reserve players as well. Poor Hickey at LB got a roasting from Johnston and Dembele. Still he hung in to the game.
Bitton showed how to beat the high press with his long raking passes. As Fanatic says, Ntcham was better in this game. His roaming was effective this time. Why? I do not know.
I saw the game in two parts. The last 20 minutes live, where I thought Dembele was out muscled and possibly tired. His talents are very clear…flicks and back heelers. His shot is strong and he has pace. Will these skills be enough to make up for the lack of physique? Time will tell. I hope we have youth coaches who see the value of developing a players strength and stamina. Johnston, Henderson and Dembele all need help in this area.
Later when I watched the rest of the game, Henderson’s skills were evident. Extremely good vision and passing ability. Johnston reminds me, to a degree of Christie, a buzz bomb of a players with great dribbling skills. I hope that is not coached out of him.
I was pleased for Neil who clearly wants the job. “It was his duty “ to take on the interim job! What a statement. He is a true Celt for life. This is his time now and all talk/debate about the future should be halted until after the final. If he does not get the job, the Board better appoint a top level coach, else it is a slap in Neil’s face.
Now, some bad news, my wife received a bad diagnosis last Monday. We are struggling to find a new balance in our lives. Yesterday, I told one of my sons the news…….the hardest thing I have ever done. I shall have to find the courage to tell the others, later.
My presence on the blog will be irregular from now on. Amazing how little football matters in the real world.
Whether you believe or not, please pray for us. God must look down on me and say, “Not you again! What do you want this time?” Somehow, it helps knowing others care.
Rebus
Rebus- sorry for your news mate, stay strong HH
Rebus, my thoughts and prayers are with your wife and you and your family. I wouldn’t worry about God. He is more likely to wish people would approach him more.
Keep coming on here when you can, you are amongst friends and if it gives you a little respite all the better.
Hail Hail.
An interesting, if not frightening, article from the pompous contrarian JJ today where he at last begins to scrutinize the internal workings at Celtic Park, with this statement as a brutal reminder of how our board operates, even if he fails to mention the 87 million in last year’s running costs:
‘Celtic are not downsizing in the traditional sense.
They are asset stripping.
Their dominance in the domestic game is the board’s cue.’
He’s basically saying they’re gonna sell Forrest, which is why Peter bought Shved against BR’s wishes, and is hinting that KT is next on the list.
The thing is that none of this souls have been any surprise to any of us who watched this board sell Hooper, Wanyama, Van Dijk from under Lenny the last time right at the very moment where we could have built a real European quality side around those players.
This has clearly been the entire remit of this Plc since it took charge, a maximise profits for the Plc at the expense of the team and it was last year’s failure to invest 15-20 million in 4 key positions that cost us 40-50 million by losing to a squalid AEK Athens side.
Now I’ve known this about this board even before Seville, and knew there would be consequences for Martin in failing to land that trophy for what was really quite modest investment, even at the time, for any wannabe Euro level club, but who would have thought that Peter would still be squawking and blaming Martin 15 years down the line while wholly failing to mention either the outrageously high year on year operating expenses amounting to £1.4 Billion in the 20 years since this mob seized control of our boardroom?
I also note that the famous Irish fiction writer observed yesterday that
‘History forgotten is a betrayal’
which is of course true but how he can say this one hand yet wholly refuse to lend any scrutiny into the running costs of the Celtic board is now beyond all parody …
For if this man truly believes that statement so would he know that his OWN ‘forgetfulness’ in this matter means that he too is betraying, and in the most scandalous manner at that, the famous Glasgow Celtic, the club which he says he ‘loves’, which he even refers to as ‘my club’ in the same article …
Now isn’t it interesting that we have these two notable bloggers, along with the ever noisy but saying nothing James Forrest, and certainly one or two others in the blogosphere, who seem to have something of a small army set up and waiting to pounce on anyone who mentions the disappearance of these vast sums from Celtic FC’s coffers without any explanation from our notoriously parsimonious PLC board?
https://johnjamessite.com/
https://philmacgiollabhain.ie/2019/05/19/celebration-and-commemoration/#more-13568
And by the way, you don’t need a head for numbers to add up what’s written in plain sight in the Celtic accounts each year.
But you DO need to understand when there’s a massive story happening that the National Union of Journalists members seem to be deliberately ignoring …
Just like they do with Sevco in their daily spouting of this ‘Rangers’* pish.
For if the NUJ was all that this famous Irish fiction writer cracks it up to be, it would be THEM who exposed the Sevco hoax and brought the new club to its knees and it would be them too who were asking the key question in all of this charade which is
‘Where has Celtic FC’s money gone in these past 20 years.’
And in my 2 decades of scrutiny, I haven’t seen one person ever ask about that.
But maybe that’s just coincidence, yeah ..?
HH
Clarke new Scotland manager.
Bada Bing 1, David Turnbull has to be worth a punt. He played his first league game only a year ago. This season, 30 games 15 goals. Not bad for a midfielder! Still only 19yo, would Motherwell be happy with 2.5m?
Rebus67
Sorry to hear of your news.
Stay strong and know you are in my thoughts.
Always remember that the guys on this blog are here for you.
xo
I checked Transfermrkt for David Turnbull. They had him valued at £90k. But that was when he had only played 4 games and scored 1 goal.
Two players with startling contrasts yesterday were Sinclair and Ntcham.
Ntcham seemed to benefit from his role yesterday while Sinclair seemed to have lost potency and effectiveness.
Ntcham is like our metronome and should be the guy dictating our rhythm .
He was one of our best players last season but diminished this due to BR’s tinkering.
he is not suited in a wide role as it limits his ability to control and switch play.
The lack of balance in midfield was due to picking individuals over proper formation.
I posted earlier in the season that we would see the best of him when he had movement ahead to maximize his vision.
Yesterday was clear how many times he switched play quickly with great diagonal passes to guys who showed movement and anticipation. Also noticeable he mostly passed to right where movement was excellent.
Sinclair did not have a bad game yesterday and did some great defensive work.
But why has his offense disappeared?
I think he has been coached in too limited a fashion were he only takes highest percentages and almost zero risk.
It’s not coincidental that his best success came with BR at Swansea and Celtic.
Perhaps a new coach can find a way to utilize his talent but he is an experienced player so adopting new thinking is more difficult.
Toljan did not give him to many options yesterday and their lack of chemistry was an issue.
But both he and KT’s performances have fallen in the last season and a half probably due to others studying and developing ways to negate but a cautious coaching system also took away some of their strengths.
Ntcham i hope has a major role for us next season.
Sinclair i am torn as he is a genuine talent but a lot will depend on coaching appointment.
Also thought yesterday showed Neil’s folly in removing Henderson from squad after first two games.
Since we have lacked creativity, movement and vision which was something he provided yesterday.
I will be disappointed if he is not in the cup final squad.
Fan a tic-Would have Johnston, Henderson and Dembele on the bench next week, instead of Burke…..

Powerful post
Indeed it has been a 20 year heist.
£1.4B you say.
A corporate religion IMHO
All about money as it is for the bloggers you mention.
This summer will be as embarrassing as last summer. Europe forget it. As for the league next year well let’s see how far betrayal will go.

Cup Final Tifo(s)
As you will know, the Green Brigade have been fundraising to mark the 2019 Scottish Cup Final as we hope to produce something fitting of this historic occasion.
Naturally, there will be another occasion on our minds on the 25th of May. As our current team bid to cement their own legacy, the Lisbon Lions will be cause of inspiration and none more so than the late Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers.
With the two Celtic legends in mind, we ask the entire Celtic support to participate in a tifo which will honour both, creating a fixed wall of colour to drive our team on every step of the way to history.
We ask that every fan wears the bib found at your seat from the moment you arrive and for the duration of the game; and stress the importance of full participation in order to achieve the desired effect.
In addition to this, fans in the East Stand (traditional Celtic end) will find a second piece of material at your seat. As with most other tifos, we ask that you use this as the team emerges from the tunnel. Again, success relies on full participation – especially important here as there will already be a tifo beneath which the ‘2nd tifo’ should mask.
As always, the Celtic support have rallied round our appeal and we thank you for your generosity. Between paypal donations and Sunday’s bucket collection, an impressive £12,052.78 has been raised to support the costs of the tifos. As promised, £1,967 will go to Alzheimer Scotland in memory of Billy and Stevie.
On Saturday, we trust that the support will prove once again what sets us apart from the rest, as we produce a show of colour and noise both fitting of past heroes and deserving of current ones.
Thank You
Rebus,,, just read your comment.
At times like these our words wont mean much but Im sure I speak for us all when I say your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
The blog will always be delighted to see your name , here for you should you need us.
Many prayers will be said. Stay strong and God Bless

G64- seen Walter in the Springy Vaults before the game,he was looking well.
Cheers, Mags, a corporate heist it has been and right under the noses of the Celtic support.
This was the deal they hatched with the SFA beaks over Sevco, a few years of bling and throw all integrity down the drain, fleece the fans and asset strip the club from the inside out, as the members of yon old secret ‘civic society’ have been doing for 302 years now.
The death of Rangers was the signaling of the ‘Death & Rebirth’ ceremony of the entire Scottish game.
They took it over and now have it exactly where they want it and the fans are too blinded by the bling to even see it, although there HAS been a massive swell of awakening right across the Celtic support in these past few weeks alone.
Incredible that we’ve just won 8 In A Row yet still have to have these conversations about how our club is being robbed and ill-run …
Now we read today that Dedryck Boyata claims that he wanted to stay at Celtic but the board wouldn’t give him the wages he wanted …
Now if that’s not already a sure sign of downsizing and penny pinching then I don’t know what is, to lose one of our best defenders over a few shillings more while making it plain that the will NOT be spending any high figure sums or wages on replacing him …
Then Lenny’s refusal to play Benkovic despite him turning in some great performances over the season and now John James mentioning this ‘row’ between wee Jamesie and Lenny himself …
We get one day to enjoy our league and already we have to worry about losing 3 or 4 of our best players with next to no hope of this scummy Tor6 board dipping into the famous ‘30 million in the bank!’ for replacements …
It’s a shambles bordering on a crime scene.
HH
The LIons Roar,,, as Mags says powerful post. Great stuff and keep it comin bigtime ! Theres plenty of meat on the bone stiill so hopefully you wont mind if I have a nibble at it.
Now if this was verbal over a pint my responses would be along the lines of,,,
“An interesting, if not frightening, article from the pompous contrarian JJ today where he at last begins to scrutinize the internal workings at Celtic Park, with this statement as a brutal reminder of how our board operates, even if he fails to mention the 87 million in last year’s running costs:

I doubt very much JJ has any high grade intel on what is or is not the PLCs desire for the footballing squad ,, as far as IM concerned his guess is as good as yours.
We can all read between lines and come up with a whats going down scenario , I often do and stick the results up here.
Do I agree with his conclusion , no. To flog JF and KT would be suicide for this regime. They both could leak they are being forced out and bring them down I think.
“The thing is that none of this souls have been any surprise to any of us who watched this board sell Hooper, Wanyama, Van Dijk from under Lenny the last time right at the very moment where we could have built a real European quality side around those players.”
Hooper Wanyama and Virgil all came to the club to use us as a stepping stone to the Epl. IT was successful on all three occassions. They would not have come otherwise,, this was arranged as in join us and we will contractually notify you and allow you to accept any Epl club that bids X amount and the player accepts based on history,,the history of this working for others so will probably work for them.
To go and block a player moving to Engerland and saying we are holding onto you and building something would collapse our play and move structure thus stopping quality players considering us ( Virgil would never come then ).
We all know foreigners will move on and we cant just hold them,,they would walk for free if we did and would probably strike plus their agents would cause hell.
“This has clearly been the entire remit of this Plc since it took charge, a maximise profits for the Plc at the expense of the team and it was last year’s failure to invest 15-20 million in 4 key positions that cost us 40-50 million by losing to a squalid AEK Athens side.”
I blame that on many factors but the entire club needs to come to terms with the fact that our most important games come very early and as such plan accordingly.
Waiting to see who will come to you late September is not a great plan and January window should become or main event with backups in summer.
I wouldnt call them squalid btw,, actually we were if either team was.
“Now I’ve known this about this board even before Seville, and knew there would be consequences for Martin in failing to land that trophy for what was really quite modest investment, even at the time, for any wannabe Euro level club, but who would have thought that Peter would still be squawking and blaming Martin 15 years down the line while wholly failing to mention either the outrageously high year on year operating expenses amounting to £1.4 Billion in the 20 years since this mob seized control of our boardroom?”
That we went backwards after Seville haunts me. ON squawking about Martin , Im going down the road of not commenting about other blogs. Best avoided so theres no finger pointing etc.

You should honestly lay out your “ argument “ politely and sent it to Phil for it may well be seen as constructive criticism,,something which we all signed up as soon as we push send and make our words available to the planet. No idea if he loves Celtic or not but I give anyone that claims that the benefit of the doubt until / if they disabuse the notion. Dont see the harm in that.
As for them dastardly other bloggers well theyre all crap and full of Monti’ PISH ! 😉
Like I say I myself am not going down that road. But if someone hits us first I pity the fool as we have some fine fine wordsmiths among us who arent getting tongue tied I assure you .
We did get a little nudge about Cqn being dissed sometimes on these pages and I replied the day I ask / tell the Sentinels what they can or cant say draw a wee moustache under my nose and call me Adolf.
We dont need anyone else and just chug along doing our own thing and hopefully by the time this regime are moving on have a bit of skin in the game to help shape what emerges.
Charity will also start to benefit soon from a plan we are working on in the background , and that would make me very very proud indeed.
The pouncing army ,, if a blogger goes in politely and well intentioned any ganging up is easily spotted ,, soo much so that it would be cringeworthy to attack a polite well framed argument by a poster that doesnt hurl insults etc and lead to that blogs detriment in the long run.
Other bloggers should point that out to the gang if there is one.
“But you DO need to understand when there’s a massive story happening that the National Union of Journalists members seem to be deliberately ignoring …
But maybe that’s just coincidence, yeah ..?”
I may be way off the mark here but most journalists will have an editor to keep happy .
It will be the editors final say in any Gers expose. Those exposes have proven career threatening / job losing / and physically threatening etc etc and also will also bring Masonic brothers in clan into the mix. Not a decision to be taken lightly.
I mean remember the Guardian ad,, ahem. That exposed the media as at the mercy of other forces.
THeres many more layers to it than just write and expose them . Whos to say the editors or his boss is not a knee bender that squashes any investigation and the journos career.
ON exposing any wrongdoing at our club of choice each and every one of us should expose every and anything they come across. This blog certainly wont shy away from showing the world anything we find or know. Why would we if legal.
Hail Hail pal and hope alls well

Turnbull at Motherwell might be worth a punt, rave reviews all season.
>>>>>>>>>>>
Good call 4 Motherwell supporters in work constantly rave about the boy.
Cheers for your reply, Mahe, but here’s the breakdown:
Boyata, one of our best defenders despite last year’s strop, now wanted to stay at Celtic but the board refused to pay him.
We were effectively getting a quality defender FOR NO FEE but they refused to pay him his asking price, which Hertha duly did.
You think they’ll manage to attract a same-level quality CB now that everyone knows they’re not prepared to pay the wages?
Virgil & Victor et al, they wanted to leave alright but would they have wanted to leave had the Plc made it clear that they could be part of a Euro winning squad BEFORE heading for the EPL?
No, it was ‘Sell them at the first opportunity, Take the money and run like fuck, as usual, and fuck Europe into the bargain, as it has been with numerous Celtic boards since 1973.
As for JJ not having ‘high level intel’, I have to disagree for, much as his petty bullying and pompous self congratulatory demands for money from his gullible readers bugs me, he DOES have some genuine ‘high level’ Masons on board, one of whom was The Founding Father of Sevco himself and the other was no kore an influential figure than The Former Chief Editor Of The Scum, sorry, SUN, newspaper.
And, whether we like it or not, you don’t really get more influential than that, Chucky, who publicly admitted to scamming Craig Whyte out of the NewCo and is STILL a free man and Jack Irvine, who was even more influential, and may still well be, in ‘influencing the narrative’ than Fat Jabba himself.
‘It’s all about perceptions’ as any good journalist will tell you and if the perception in the Press is that ‘It’s all Scott Brown’s fault!’ then that’s what the perception will be, no matter how pathetic or preposterous it is to any sane minded human being.
As for ‘sending my post to Phil’, I explained to you just a couple of posts back that Phil BARRED ME from his pages after 3-4 years of faithful following and commenting (under a few different monikers) and he barred me simply for me asking why the Celtic operating expenses in the accounts for that year, 2016-17, had hit such an eye watering high of 76 million quid, to which he did not respond.
I then followed that up with a request that he ask his famous ‘Rugger Guy’ accountant mate to look into said Celtic Plc Accounts and why he was prepared to examine the Sevco accounts with such thorough scrutiny yet let the Celtic accounts go free, despite these MASSIVE losses to the club.
And that was when he banned me.
Because he knew I already knew the answer, which is that Phil is one of the paid bloggers we have been talking about and this is proven by his now total refusal to even MENTION the operating expenses, instead having his ‘Rugger Goy’ just write ‘All is fiscally good at Celtic Plc’ or some other such blatant tosh.
I have also been barred from JJ’s site many years ago, and he even had the stupidity to bar me on the same day he used one of my other monikers’ as his own highlighted ‘Post Pf The Week’ ! 😀
And that was WAY before I’d stumbled across the discrepancies in the Celtic Plc’s Numbers …
No, JJ barred me for asking him a fairly innocuous question and which led to him redundantly labeling me a ‘hater’, but I’ve let them both know since that I’m ‘watching the watchers’ as it is the one sole duty of any true Celtic man to do, just to make sure our club isn’t being robbed by those inscrutably silent men currently charge of it.
And I have to admit, I do NOT like what I see.
All of my scrutiny, on both our club and those claiming to be reporting ‘on behalf’ of it, is done simply for the fact that I love Celtic in a way that these Bought & Sold money men could never understand, as Celtic Football Club, and The Lisbon Lions, in particular, has been the single greatest influence in triumphing I’ve hatred and adversity as I have eve4 seen, and I’ve seen a LOT of it in my,any years here on this fine but corrupted Earth.
And, I’m sorry to say, those who are writing the narrative, like the Scottish & UK media, and ALL members of the NUJ, are sadly complicit in this corruption by their refusal to tell the truth on behalf of the lie which their Editors-In-Chief have sadly sworn an oath to be defending.
For what I’m telling you here is that by their silence, both the UK & worldwide media AND the current Celtic Plc board, are asset stripping Celtic as a club and are stealing from, and lying to, our support on a daily basis and are, therefore, working against the best interest of Celtic Football Clib on behalf of that ‘civic society’ which runs both Scottish and international football AND the media worldwide.
Now like Phil’s meme says, which do you prefer, ‘Harsh Truths or Comforting Lies’?
For those who know will tell you, there is never any long term comfort in a blatant cover up of a lie.
And too many of these men who claim to be ‘Celtic fans’ are complicit in its dissemination.
Cheers for the feedback.

REBUS…
Just read your sad news, prayers will be said for your family. Keep your chin up and try to stay strong. YNWA
REBUS, just came on to say you will be in my thoughts and prayers, you were one of the first posters on here to offer your thoughts and prayers to my mother in law, I wont forget your kindness,,god bless..
JimTheTim: ‘If other posts are annoying why read them?’, you ask?
I read them to get at the truth, mate.
And the truth is not one of them is asking where all Celtic Football Club’s money is going, all 1.4 Billion quid of it in a 20 year period, and instead prefer to aim their focus on Sevco and its own dodgy accounts.
But what’s the point in aiming at Sevco when it’s OUR CLUB that is undergoing the asset stripping?
Besides, there’s a lot of truth to be found in a deliberate stonewalled silence as our own board’s silence proves, as well as that of the ‘useful idiots’ in their employ.
HH
TLR, I kind of got the answer to my question in your reply to Mahe. It’s all part of the ‘watch the watchers’ idea.
Sorry, JimTheTim, your question was, ‘If other blogs and their posters are so annoying, why read them?’
It’s because if I was to tell you that Celtic are a ‘Well Run Club’ then at the same time say that we lots our best striker cos our then manager went back on his word, our board have inexplicably ‘lost’ 1.4 Bilkion in unitemised operating expenses in the past 2 decades, our current manager and Player Of The Year have had a falling out over who knows what and one of our best defenders has left when he’d prefer to have stayed over a few paltry shillings, and this signaling an intent for the continuation of the Biscuit Tin years, would you consider us to be the ‘well run club’ that all these guys keep claiming we are or would you agree with my earlier statement that we are, in fact, a shambles bordering on a crime scene?
For it’s clear to us all that Celtic Football Club and its support have been let down terribly by this board during its tenure and the flashing of a few trophies DOES NOT recompense us for the losses we have incurred during their tenure, for ‘Helicopter Sunday’ and us winning NOTHING in the year of Seville was all due to Murray’s own criminality in rigging those games by failing to declare the full wages of his players who would NOT have been at Ibrox were it not for the ‘Tax Free Brown Envelope Culture’ he had implemented at Rangers while our own board stood by and watched, which they still do to this day in their silence on everything from Resolution 12 to Broony being attacked ON THE PITCH at Ibrox where everything from golf balls to Buckie bottles were thrown at our players with NOT ONE WORD FROM OUR BOARD in defence of the players, their own employees.
Silence is the watchword of this ‘civic society’ that is running and ruining our game and it is only by caloin* it out for the sham that it is will we ever hope to change things for the better and to the long term welfare of our own club.
Only by Calling It Out for the hoax that it is and the sins committed in it can we ever hope to see a game worth the name again.
For without genuine sporting integrity at the heart of it, we’re simply watching staged entertainment, and we all know for which club such staging has been staged and it’s certainly not Celtic.
For proof of this watch Paul Larkin’s movie on the Lanarkshire Referees Association and John Fleming’s agenda to have only Freemasons wearing the black.
And though you might say, ‘Aye, but it was ever thus’, does that mean that we now stand back and let it all happen to us all over again when we know the dark truth at the heart of it?
I think not, at least not from this lifelong Celtic supporter anyway.
