Snake in the grass
If Kieran does happen to go we will deal with it then and yes there will be much wailing and many strong words said but as of this minute its still an if. Hopefully it stays that way of course .
But this is one departure that will cause ripples if happens.
So a couple nights ago I first read the reports that a bid had been made for Kieran and I immediately looked at where it emerged and from whom.
Ian Mc Garry had his name to an article in the Scottish Sun claiming the specifics that 15mill had been bid,, which big bad John rightly came out and said was insulting.
We now have every outlet running with either the price is around 25 million or Arsenal will return with improved offer and 70k a week for our bhoy if he signs.
So the big question is how did Ian know and get his info ?
It seems this fella had the inside scoop on the biggest transfer ever in Scottish football .
Does he have an inside source ?
Apparently not as in this article he has Kieran to Leicester to join Brendan this summer,,,
And here in this podcast he makes the stunning claim that young Tierney has actually agreed an 85 k a week deal with Everton !
Not a man for the details it seems.
https://celtsarehere.com/podcast-claims-85k-per-week-tierney-everton-deal-agreed/
And also about a year ago he was published by the Star claiming he is a “ football consultant “ saying ,, youre gonna love this one ,,
We should sell Kieran as an insurance policy in case we dont make the Champions League!
Well thanks for your concern about our clubs finances but first of all there was no financial gap needing plugged and on clubs and money where were you in 2012?
Coulda been very busy if you take an interest in finances and have newspaper contacts.
Why did you not speak up for justice then as much as you try to flog Kieran?
Or call out the big going for 55 lie?
Just type Ian mc Garry Kieran Tierney into google and its clear he has been watching and involved in attempted transfer and or hyping him up maybe even throwing bids for him out into the public arena.
A great question would be why , and did someone give him a brief to tout our bhoy ?
But then yesterday ,, the man who was apparently about to get his wish within the next few days ,,his dream of Kieran finally released from Celtic to help balance the finances he worries about.
And what did Mister know it all do ?
He went and got caught spinning white lies!!!
But that it was by an actual Celtic fan just made it sweeter !
You probably know by now he claimed that Andy Robertson told KT he should leave to further his career . He claimed it in a podcast and it has been printed as fact.
Andy slapped him down beautifully with a simple “ lot of rubbish “.
So Ian went from the man in the know of the biggest transfer in the country’s history , to being proved a liar by a current European Cup winner!
And all in 24 to 48 hours !
Wow,,, well done son. That is some level of eff up that is.
No point in asking will he have the journalistic or just plain manly decency to fall on his sword ,, the brass neck liar will probably ignore the bits that doesn’t suit him or his agenda and continue on ,, a snake in the grass and another example of the rotten part of the sport.
Will we find out who or what funded and fueled this obsession to rid the country of its brightest talent ? Not through official channels but thankfully you all learned long ago never to trust anything you read in the papers or hear in the news as any attempt at proper journalism fell completely by the wayside long ago and 2012 just cemented the fact .
We arent stupid though ,, I am sure many would make the same guess as to who was the puppet master.
If the “ football consultant “ isn’t completely burnt out of the trusted circles then what name he latches onto next will be enlightening possibly.
Its also convenient that many publications can hide behind the fact that it was their guy ,, a freelancer actually and therefore no point in saying ban the rags.
Whatever the facts though , its clear this man has been a pawn in the big game to get Kieran out of the Sphell. The machine went into overdrive and still is as you read this.
End game is weaken Celtic fullstop.
Yes the game itself is a dirty business ,, its a cesspool at times and its getting worse .
This football consultant fella must be right at home.
We are always on the lookout for new writers and articles . If you could help it would be greatly appreciated. Email your thoughts to sentinelcelts@gmail.com and we will publish.
The voice of the regular fan needs heard more than ever. Speaking up is your right , not a crime.
People can foresee the future only when it coincides with their own wishes, and mostly grossly obvious facts can be ignored when they are unwelcome.

Great article,Mahe. Someone has been feeding McGarry, pushing him into greater and greater leaps of faith-or stupidity.
I wonder why only Arsenal are reported to be interested? After all, there can be little doubt in anyone’s mind that KT is a very talented player, and in a very specialised position. All very strange…
Journalists in Scotland are on the whole, anti Celtic. I think it’s unlikely many will argue with that.
However:
Celtic are undoubtedly willing sellers in my opinion.
Quite simple. If they weren’t interested in selling, and KT wasn’t prepared to leave this would’ve been put to bed quite easily with a statement to the effect KT is under contract and will not be sold.
The fact that’s not happened suggests to me he IS for sale at the right price. For PL it’ll be yet another fallback solution if we fail to qualify for the CL.
He’s always said we don’t budget for European income
I believe him. He now plans the best way to set the budget for no European income, which is why we will always be in this position of selling on our best players.
I do think he’ll be hedging his bets here in respect of waiting to see how the Sarajevo tie pans out before making his final budget. Get dumped out at the first hurdle and it may not only be KT who is on his way.
The predictable part will be what happens with the money if we go out early. I’d suggest very little of it ( relatively speaking) will find its way to Neil.
I don’t believe one word that the print press release. I prefer to deal in facts not wild conjecture. Don’t believe the hype or lies the liars and click bait fantasists dress up as truths.
MAHE, great article once again, ive listened to McGarry on talksport with alan brazil, and he comes across as a big celtic fan, strange one this.hh.
Arsenal, or any other club, have not triggered the release clause when a club does then Keiran and his agent has a decision to make. Celtic failing to reach the Champions League for the second time in a row may just be the thing that makes that decision for him. But not Arsenal. He will be better off waiting to see if a Champions League-qualified team comes in for hi. I don’t see him going abroad at this time in his career, think he’s too close to his family for that, maybe in 3 years or thereabouts. por cierto.
Apologies, good article mahe por cierto 🙂
Twists n turns
Yes we all know most journalists in Scotland either tell outright lies about Celtic or deliberately distort news developments to paint us in a bad light. Thus has always been though it is definitely getting worse. However, what grinds my nuts that as a club we just accept it. Any journalist, like that has been called out to be the anti-Celtic liar, should be banned from Celtic Park as should any media outlet he works for directly or indirectly. In these days of instant electronic news and social media, we don’t need them and we should rely on our own communications channels to get our message across to fans. The sooner we start this approach the better and I’m sure it would be warmly supported by the vast majority of our fans except perhaps for those few numbskulls who still buy and read the Record and Sun and the rest.
Oh and while I’m at it, why does the club never ever challenge the “Old Firm” myth whenever our enemies in the media use it? Yes, we refer to matches against Sevco as “the Glasgow Derby” on our website but passively go along with the general portrayal of these matches as “The Old Firm”. We could and should put a stop to it. Simply put a permanent statement on the club’s website stating,
“There is no such thing as The Old Firm and if there is, Celtic Football Club is not part of it. It may have been in the past when our local rivals Rangers Football Club existed but that ended in 2012 and with it The Old Firm.”
Is that too much to ask?
PORCIERTO
I’ve never previously heard of a Celtic player having a release clause in his contract. Genuinely wondering why Kieran has one-as has been widely reported-and whether it is now commonplace at the club.
Also, why the hell has it been set so low,if as reported it is £25m? The release clause is designed to put off would-be buyers, not to encourage them.

Wars have been started for less! This is Scotland, truth and hard facts have no place in our society. The hordes must be placated.
@ Por Cierto
Is there a release clause in KT’s contract? There is no such indication from the recent reports.
BMCUWP,
We are already in a war, the war for the truth. If we lose it or at least don’t fight to defend it, then nothing else matters and that includes stuff like TIAR.
Andy Robertson tweeted that Ian Mc Garry was of course talking shite.
NHS must be seriously struggling.
Phoned the doctor there. Can I have an appointment?
8th July is the first one
I can’t wait that long
What’s wrong? Is it an emergency?
No I wouldn’t say that.
What’s wrong?
My back. I literally can’t bend down. Can’t even pick up stuff at knee level. Excruciating bad pain. So not an emergency but I can’t go on like this for 2 weeks.
Doctor will call you.
Fair play he did , very promptly too.
I’ve to go along at noon. How the ff I’m gonna get there is another matter?
Twists & Turns. On the surface your contention that Celtic are willing sellers KT looks reasonable but there could be other things at play. Having Celtic in the news with major Clubs willing to pay biggish money for our players is not a bad thing for the Club. Even if the player we want to sell is not KT. As Brendan Behan once said the only bad publicity is seeing your name on the obituary column of the newspaper. The obvious ghuys that Celtic should be trying to sell would be either N’tcham or Rogic, 2 players with buckets of talent but for one reason or another are not quite delivering. The fact that we signed Turnbull, and seem to be still chasing Rakeem & Luca would indicate to me that we are more likely to want to offload one of the afore mentioned two.
If Celtic is in your DNA, your brain is wired into all information relating to it, especially about buying or selling players. The press play on it, printing all kinds of made up nonsense, anything in fact to get you to tuned into buying their papers or hitting their information site’s. I often wonder how big the traffic flow of hits or sales increase around the transfer window, what the percentages show as we devour every scrap of faerystories relating to our club. Irish tradition tells of the “Little People” of Faeries and Leprechauns, the press are the “Little People” peddling their stories about Goblins, as we sit galvanised listening to their tales. Years ago we got an adrenalin rush of excitement as we looked forward to new exciting players we hoped would come to Celtic, it just shows how the table has tilted as we are concerned about our favourite players leaving. Downsizing is the expectation, while the biscuit tin struggles to contain a mountain of cash and we puzzle as to why this should be the case. Trust is in short supply, Fake News rules as they pump up the volume over the river Clyde towards Govan. Anyone with inside information? I am like Oli Burke, all ears…
As the lead article says, the journalist(no laughing at the back) who broke the story has previous for making up stories concerning Celtic and KT in particular. Why would Celtic come out and deny such rubbish, it would be open season for every hack in the country to write utter drivel and if it wasn’t officially denied it would be used as proof to no smoke without fire.
If KT goes, he goes. Nothing any of us can do about it and if he does it won’t be the fault of PL, KY has 4 yrs left on his contract no one can force him out, he has enough pals in prominent positions on forums etc to completely destroy PL’s reputation among our support if he tried to force KT out.
As the saying goes ‘I smell sh@te’.

The point you make about hits on sites etc is an interesting one. While we are all aware of the fact the actual sales of almost every newspaper in the UK is falling, online readership is rising by the same and in some cases higher %. The real concern for them is the proprietors haven’t yet found a way to turn these hits into cash that matches their previous advertising revenue. So while most ppl say I haven’t bought a paper in yrs they are actually still reading those same papers online.
Eddie
but they haven´t bought it. Which is the most important thing
Awe naw
Of course you are right though by still reading these opinion pieces/article on some level they will play a role in our decision making on certain matters or how our views are formed.
Happy Clappers v Malcontents which camp we fall into will be determined to some extent by our chosen online content.
Eddie,
and the content on CQN, Phil Mac G is just as skewered but in a different direction.
Which reveals an awful lot.
We do not want to beat our hun masters we want to join in with them and get in on the action as well.
While it’s easy to say that the West Brom comments about Lenny and his treatment of Olly B were down to them trying to put one of their best youth leaving to join us, I would suggest there is more to it than that as we aren’t the only club that want him, there are several others who also wouldn’t have pay more than a modest development fee so why pick us out?
It just doesn’t add up. You can dismiss Olly B as not really being much of a player but and West Brom maybe thinking he would have stayed another season. Therefore saving them a couple of £m in wages, though these things happen all the time and I can’t ever remember any team making remarks about a particular coach before. I for one would certainly be interested in what Olly B said to the coaching team on his return to West Brom.
Eddie,
clearly him being on the bench within the spfl is not ideal for their intentions. Which is to sell him

FOLLOWING comments by West Bromwich Albion regarding Oliver Burke’s loan spell with Celtic in the second half of last season, the club has issued a statement.
‘These comments, which question the professionalism of both Neil and Celtic Football Club, are ridiculous and completely inaccurate. West Brom have made no contact whatsoever with either Neil or the club in relation to Oliver.
‘As with every player who comes to Celtic, Oliver received the very best of treatment and every support and opportunity. We wish Oliver the very best for the future.’
@ Eddieinkirkmichael
I am surprised by the comments from WBA. Every Celtic website seems to be running with the narrative that this is to discourage Harper from joining us, but this seems a bit abstract. We aren’t the only suitor and it’s quite uncommon to see such statements being made. It’s all a bit peculiar.
Added to the above, we have to remember that Weah and Lennon seemingly had a fall out and Weah left the camp early. Speaking generally, all loan players were sidelined on Neil’s appointment (Burke, Weah, Toljan and Benkovic).

Of course any player under contract can dig his heels in. Bobo did it because it suited him,for instance.
He barely played for four years, but he knew that it was his biggest and last contract,so sit tight and let PL stew.
KT is different. He cannot afford to have that happening to him,not at 22yo. His credit as a player would drop like a stone. FWIW,I’m not yet convinced about the rumours of him leaving, but I think others will. And in the next year, add a few more to the list.
You may think that this site is anti-board,and you may also be correct to a certain extent. But it isn’t. It is pro-Celtic. And none too keen on the direction the board is taking.
Morning troops,,
On WBA I like their new manager and wanted him in our hotseat. Looking forward to seeing how Slaven does there.
He shoulda been spoken to by the club of course. If only outta courtesy and for future earmarking.
Kieran still ours I see .
Lenny looks like he’s gonna fill our bigtime now playing days are over. Shows he done well keeping the beef off when younger. It’s easy put on not easy taken off though.

Hope you are OK now Mick, I had a similar situation which lasted 6 months, I’m OK now for past 6 weeks but after consuming a few hundred anti biotics and I;m not joking here was on 3 anti biotics a day for 6 months, a simple dietary change made a huge improvement.
Now having said there was an underlying problem that was causing the infection and I had to be treated for that separately.
Anyway if you are still getting bother let me know and I’ll email you my experience.

Cheers, mate. I told A&E not to prescribe Penicillin as I’m allergic to it. Told them I’ve only been prescribed antibiotics about four times in my life, and always Erythromycin.
They gave me an entirely different medicine, charged me £9 for it. Guess what the side effects are?
May cause urine infection. Aye,really.
Second opinion and sorted with a different type of drug.

Too many layers of management sucking up the budget may be the cause?
Here in the USA you can always be seen by a doctor due to the cash they make for your visit.
Any visit to a doctor here usually results in some tests or a referral to another doctor/specialist.
This helps their gravy train keep flowing.
Even though i have expensive health insurance there are still a lot of out of pocket costs.
As you know i have an autistic stepson.
His dentist decided he should have the remainder of his baby teeth removed as his mouth was overcrowded and causing pain.It amounted to six and he decided it would be better to do all at same time at local hospital.
We arrived at 7am and by 7-45 he was out and wheeled into surgery.
About 40 mins later he was put in side room for recovery.
We left hospital at 11am.
The dentist cost @2500 which except for $200 was covered by insurance.
The anesthesiologist was $1000 and again covered by insurance except for $200.
The bill then arrived for the hospitals 4 hours and nurse.
They charged a grand total of $35,000.
Insurance refused to pay and we had to fight a legal battle with hospital.
We ended up with a compromise of an $8,000 dollar bill.
The UK may be a difficult environment for patient care but switch to a private system will see huge price hikes as the medical establishment and health corporations quickly ditch all pretense of the Hippocratic Oath and follow the American corporate ideal of maximising profit from a captive audience.

Top players have release clauses in their contracts. KT falls into that department. Any agent worth their salt wouldn’t be doing their job properly if KT did not have one. It would have been part of the discussions and implemented when he “upgraded” to his present deal. Edouard will have one too. por cierto
Por Cierto,,
release clauses,,,the problem is they are gentlemans agreements apparently and not wrote into contract hence the negotiations.
If it was 25 then someone would just pay and talk.
22 and 10percent of future much more likely , and maybe a wee player?
Also in gentlemans agreements you need to trust the word of the other party,,,,
Hope youre well Sir.

I Don’t think this site is any more anti board than most I frequent. Most on here appear to have healthy inquiring minds when it comes to Celtic Plc and the way they appear to do business, or not do it which has been the norm over the last season or so. I like the non combative feel of the discussion compared to other sites aswell ?
Afternoon Timland, it’s been so hot here the past week or so it’s quite scary, so scary in fact thatr I think we are about to get evacuated, some arsehole has decided to set fire to the banking as they do here and it’s out of control, 40 deg heat the place is like a tinderbox, so far there is untold fire engines three helicopters and a plane on the scene which is less than a mile from us, I hope to eff the wind doesn’t carry it this way, to top it all we don’t have insurance as caves are un insurable

I would be delighted if I was wrong, but my understanding is David Ornstein broke the news of the K.T. bid.
He’s a respected BBC journalist known for his insight into dealings at Arsenal.
The rest plagiarized his story.
Usually these types of stories are only in the SMSM, however with regards K.T. The English media have been full of it too, possibly because of the Ornstein connection.
Celtic have let it be known through their own media darlings that Callum McG is not for sale.
Their silence has been deafening with regards K.T.

Arsenal hope £18m will land Kieran Tierney despite £25m Celtic valuation
• London club have had bid of £15m for left-back turned down
• Daily talks going on about attack-minded 22-year-old
David Hytner
@DaveHytner
Tue 25 Jun 2019 14.05 BST Last modified on Tue 25 Jun 2019 15.50 BST
Kieran Tierney has been a huge success at Celtic and is believed to be keen on a move to Arsenal ahead of the new season
Arsenal are preparing to make a second offer to Celtic for Kieran Tierney and they are hopeful that a figure of around £18m will get the deal done – even though the Scottish champions value the left-back at £25m.
The London club are in daily talks over Tierney and they believe that the 22-year-old wants to join them. Arsenal have had one bid for him worth £15m turned down.
Unai Emery sees Tierney as an excellent fit because of his pace, energy and attack-mindedness, not to mention his capacity to play at left wing-back, too. Tierney is a solid defender, who likes to bring his team forward with his dribbling ability, and the hope at Arsenal would be that he can make the same sort of impact in the Premier League as another Scottish left-back – Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson.
It would be no surprise if the haggling over Tierney were to continue as the Arsenal owner, Stan Kroenke, keeps a tight hold on spending. Since the American became the club’s majority shareholder in April 2011, the statistics show Arsenal have a net spend on permanent transfer fees of £239.9m, which works out at £30m per season.
Since the summer of 2013, when the club talked of boasting greater financial power, it has been £265.8m, or £44.3m per season. Arsenal’s headache is that they have a squad on Champions League wages in year three of a Europa League cycle and, having spent a relatively high £63.8m in net terms last summer, they are not expected to divert from their mean this time out.
Jnp,,
