The Good, the bad, the ugly
The Good statement deserves credit, and we will certainly hand it out when due. Only fair.
It was a belter, going straight to the boss essentially, and has subtly placed the onus on Statement Fc to give the world their version of events and be seen to support an employee correctly.
Or have silence judge you complicit.
Talk about rock and a hard place.
If a certain person was waiting for the opportune time to take out a thorn in the games side, it was handed to him on a plate.
Who is probably the biggest question and not who translated,,who’s head will end up on a platter as one or more are sure to roll over this. I doubt one main scapegoat will do at this stage, Sky will want to been seen to act and theres nothing like a termination to look tough.
The light blues must produce someone and with his primary layer of protection gone I think its clear he will be flung under bus,,if anything to attempt to avoid a hefty SFA charge of bringing game into disrepute.
The SFA must be squirming. The Spl’s little squirrel double charge against the club has been ignored in the main which must really annoy them. Lenny’s team will just go on and win by a few as usual, and a club fine isnt gonna lose anyone sleep.
The tie up with the Turnberry wont be taking any eyes away from the big issue, no Sir.
Theres no squirrels or distress calls are going to divert attention on this one of their own making which could be a turning point for the media and our club maybe league.
With our rivals season threatening to taper out with a whimper , a big off field victory for the Tims is the very last thing needed.
I wonder would the press pack themselves have a new lease of life without the bully and could this actually help drive up refereeing performances via honest scrutiny?
How far the ripples reach will be very interesting to watch.
The Bad is the case of two men, one told not to come to work and the other not guilty. Michael Stewart has lost his BBC gig for at least 5 days we read and that probably means he will throw the head up and say eff you lot. He does seem to have an in with BT Sport and some support there who would enjoy working with him but still its an income lost purely for speaking the truth. A travesty yet its the man who has won here.
El Buffalo also has been used and abused by those he trusted. Just a wee friendly sit down has blown up bigtime and he just fired up every away fan in the country when he’s in town.
‘Poor me’ is going to go down like a lead balloon with the terraces, especially now we know a bit of the mans character and habits.
He might have a face made for radio but in the case of translations its hardly his fault. He is innocent on that one.
The Ugly one will of course try to put a brave face on things but the more this rumbles on and the more fallout there is , the more toxic he becomes. The contacts book will have been worked and every favour under the sun called in, yet to no avail.
To try such a schoolboy trick tells me he just isnt that smart in the first place, most bullies arent.
Had he walked from the club with Dave, or played it fairly even until seasons end, then he probably would have wormed his way into some rag or other with the promise of inside Ger’s stories and a yearly Stevie exclusive.
But now, no way the rags want him. Theres Sky and BT off the list plus Aunty Beeb is getting ripped up. If Ofcom hammer him then the options just became a lot smaller. And what difference would it have made anyway, his team were not going to win the league no matter what he got printed.
The fool has dug his own grave for nothing at all,, HAH !
You cant buy this entertainment folks so sit back and enjoy it while it lasts. Happy Friday!

Great stuff, covering all the bases and hitting all the targets.
I mentioned on Wednesday that there are no truly independent major media outlets in Scotland, and that they are all answerable to the big bosses in England,Germany, the US,etc. These are the people that Jabba in particular seems to have forgotten about.
He thought he was King of the World. Turns out he was only King of the Hill-a molehill, and rapidly being undermined.
Celtic’s follow-up statement yesterday was brutally explicit in its intent. They made it plain in the original that they were unhappy at the portrayal of the club and the fans. I suspect they got the response from Sky that they expected, one which barely paid lip-service to what was required. By ramping up the severity of the complaint, they have made it plain that they expect to see some genuine casualties from this.
Which is only fair-after all,the other side declared war.
Their purpose in all of this is to reverse the trend that we have seen over the past few years. Where previously the SMSM were scared shitless of Traynor and of not doing his bidding, they must now become scared shitless of being associated with him in any way. Which means that he will be completely useless in his current role.
If I was Traynor,I’d be starting work on my book now. I hope it reads better than his farewell article in The Record.
You really do have to wonder how the SMSM have come to this .
How long have peepil had free reign at high levels, to have the puppets running wild to such an extent, that everyone bar the supporters of one club are surely left in no doubt at all ,that the sports media in Scotland is a complete and utter laughing stock .
I mean seriously, did no one higher up think to say ,hold on here ,their never going to fall for that complete guff .If you just look at the whole business regards just one player Morelos .
VALUATIONS
5m,10m,20m,a 30m contract offer from china (the player knocked it back ) now 50m

Refs
He is being picked on .
Abuse
Is he the only player in the SPL ,if you read the scottish press and listened to it,s media ,you would think he is .
Running with attempted murder rumours and finally broadcasting his one and only EVER , TV interview with altered translation to smear his clubs biggest rivals to an national audience .
I mean ,just think for a moment about that last one .Someone within that set up thought they could just go ahead and do that without any backlash if anyone complained .
This is not just one sevco fan in the media bigging up his heroes , this is a MEDIA rampant with sevco fans working to peepil,s agendas .
In fact it is so bad that when we do see a pundit appear on the scene who we think is impartial they stand out immediately .IMO one thing that looks like has come out of this for the BBC is that they can now get rid of MS and all their wee poodles can get back to feeling comfy in their seats . MS has far to much integrity to have a career in that company .

And yet,as we know, similar had been happening down the years. Beasley’s car blown up. McGregor severely assaulted. The Megabus fire. There’s just three, all put down to us,and yet we had nothing to do with any of them.
The riot after the Hibs cup final? Every one of the players and staff were assaulted. EBTs and imperfect registrations, you name it,we’ve seen it.
It’s almost as though someone somewhere made the decision that if we were going to go after someone,it has to be nuclear. And to do that,we had to allow them a free rein with a wrecking ball aimed squarely at our club. Until the recklessness of overconfidence bites,then-

Thank you for your responses.
It is a very interest response from Celtic and maybe their call at the end of the statement for Morelos was just a cute giruy, but Barry Ferguson is in the Record today and implying SG will be demanding answers over “translategate” from Rangers PR department. Which suggests the old firm are at one on this.
Why have Celtic came out all guns blazing on this one while letting so much drift?
The cynic in me says that it is part of the clearing up exercise after a decade of disinformation and fake news where masters of those black arts were crucial.
Another point that struck me is on another forum I noticed some vociferous supporters of big Pedro criticising him for a lack of response to the various beatings Celtic and it’s support have had to endure, especially this season.
His abject failure on Res 12 and his 5WA denial were the last straw for many. Having a clearer understanding of PL’s modus operandi… a knee jerk at an open goal can’t be discounted on this one.
My feelings are that no one at the SPFL, SFA and UEFA need worry too much about Celtic’s “bulldog” finding it’s teeth.

Bringing the game into disrepute. Great minds, Tweeted this half an hour ago in response to David Low:
If that is true, & the narrative fits, why are SFA not making charges of TRFC bringing the game into disrepute? Or is it too late as it’s already happened so no relevant, censure, like imperfect registrations? It’s been downhill all the way since first ebt with side letter used.
Lies are corrosive, some just take longer to undermine the structure of our game than others.

It might well be that someone at EUFA eventually twigs that there are a lot of non-compliance reports hitting his or her desk with the same common denominators. The Laws of the Game are sacrosanct and so too are the protocols and procedures for dealing with breaches. They can’t allow a local association or federation to be either maverick or rogue.

Celtic’s bulldog is accountable to shareholders (even if the small shareholding folk get outvoted, the Board still have to give an account of their reasons for doing so and transparency and accountability are inseparable bedfellows. Check how Res12 2019 set out the case and Celtic’s answer in the AGM papers that opened up the issue to shareholders and non shareholders alike.
A number of bulldog shareholders were not happy with the answers given and as reported in this article from Not The View (also mentioned on SC) they put their concerns to Celtic in January.

Perhaps you are able to answer WHY The Rangers are permitted to have an opinion on any of this,
ie It was requested because according to statement by The Rangers Football Club , (when the SFA announced in May 2018 that The Judicial Panel Disciplinary Tribunal (JPDT) would investigate UEFA Licence breaches in 2011), activity during the period at the end of March 2011 had been excluded from scrutiny, adding that accusations relating to that time were groundless and made by folk wishing to harm Scottish football!
Surely as a new separate commodity and identity they would and should be excluded from any CURRENT discussions regarding issues affected/caused by the OLDCO!
Shouldn’t they be told it’s got f### all to do with them…or am I being pedantic?
Incidentally, I’ve arranged a new TV package with Virgin Media. I had the absolute misfortune of cancelling my Sky package (customer for over 20 yrs) by text chat on the PC which took an hour and a half!!
Long story short I got an offer of what amounted to 25% discount on my current payments. I explained I was cancelling due to the Morelos Broadcast…the discount increased to 50% with extra channels thrown in!!
Sky’s textchat response ‘We can’t be responsible for one individual’s opinions. It was broadcast live and as soon as we knew it was false it was withdrawn and apologies issued. Please stay you have been a customer for so long and it would be sad to see you go’
Moral of the story: If you want to reduce your SKY bill call them today and quote “Morelos”.
BMCUWP,
If UEFA do turn their head towards Scotland then the danger is of course they’ll not go after any particular Club. If they punish the Association then all Clubs could face a European ban.

I doubt very much that they can prevent Celtic or any other member club from playing in European competition due to failures in governance by their federation. After all,the member clubs are not the watchdogs of the federations-UEFA are!
And yet the pooh still gets printed.
Liverpool have emerged as shock favourites to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos after The Scottish Sun revealed that bookmakers have shortened the odds on the Anfield side signing the Colombian.
The article claims that at 12-1, Liverpool now edge Everton, Sevilla and Tottenham Hotspur in the betting market for the forward’s next destination.

12-1 favourite? Must be something like a forty runner field. I predict it will be won by Esha Ness in “The Race That Never Was”
By comparison,in a twenty runner field,Roy Hodgson is favourite to be next EPL manager sacked.
At Even Money!
As I’ve said before,I actually feel sorry to an extent for Morelos. His employer is simply using him in an entirely unethical manner.
Jurgen Klopp seems to like a giggle, maybe they want Alfredo for the comedic value he brings? Add Liverpool to a list that seems to grow every week…
Barca
Seville
Galatasaray

Every single club in China that ever played football!
Liverpool & Everton
Aston Villa

Tottenham

I’m sure there are many more.
Now, I’d be willing to bet every penny I have (£4.22) that not one of those clubs will enquire about Alfredo, never mind buy & play him. And, I’d bet much more than £4.22 that when he does leave, it will be for an Undisclosed fee. I’d also be willing to bet that, right now, the Lamborghini driver wants out of Dodge.
Being Colombian, it may be safe to assume Alfredo is catholic? I wonder if an interpreter has educated him on the words of the songs his fans sing @every game.

We often hear of the dangers of complacency for successful teams. Today that danger is just as relevant as it ever was. We face Clyde in the cup and our previous performance against them should guard against underestimating them. More recently, in December of last year, complacency played a part in our home defeat to Sevco just a short time after seeing the folly of our formation exposed in the LC cup final. Lady Luck only allows a small number of visits to her bedchamber! The fallout from that example of complacency has lessened but is not forgotten.
The most recent example of the C word is both shocking and laughable at the same time. However, there is a very serious implication. I refer, of course, to the Translategate affair. What part did complacency play in this? Firstly, the author, who ever that is, was possibly fuelled by what had gone on before. Messages such as the warped translation had been fed out to the media before, and accepted with relish. In the beginning of the affair, the message was once again accepted without question and beamed out to a wide audience. However, here comes the important difference in this case. The veracity could be easily checked and checked by anyone who spoke a reasonable amount of Spanish, and/or had access to Google Translate. The author has been so used to not having his narratives questioned that he walked straight into the complacency trap! Sadly, for him/her, others who had also fallen into the complacency trap were damaged, both reputation-wise and financially.
Organisations that use the services of the major player in this debacle must now be questioning the value of these services, given the lack of judgement displayed and the disdain displayed for the truth. Karma can be …….well, …….karma!

Rangers new boy Ianis Hagi will be worth €100m in just two years – according to Steaua Bucharest owner Gigi Becali.
From the Hun
We knew this shite was coming….
Mahe, excellent stuff mate.
The saddest part for me is… since December, it’s taken on legs arms and tentacles, we were beaten, they had a dive and throat slitting gesture, with an explanation straight out of the tooth fairy book.
Then according to Jabba the Jobby we tried to murder El dufflecoat, then his divingness was caught playing away from home, then Jabba the Jobby pushed out another exclusive El Duffelcoat calles us racist, while Jabbas fat greasy mitt was up the glove puppets arse, as he never said any such muttering.
Now our board want Sky and Ofcom to explain, why we are subjected to these anomolies. While all the while that same board had the means to bury these self centred hun bigots years ago but chose to keep them alive. That’s the saddest part.
Being in Canada, I was not familiar with Ofcom and its role. So have patience with me as I trundle out my thoughts on Celtic”‘s action w.r.t. Ofcom.
The latest statistics available from Ofcom refer to the third quarter of last year but they do show that Sky performs well in terms of the number of complaints received. I would suspect that Sky would wish to retain this competitive advantage so the action by Celtic will be taken seriously by them. Although it is possible that Sky may be found to have not applied due diligence in assessing content before it went out, it could be said that they were also duped by whoever supplied the translation. They should wish to determine how and why this happened.
Looking at the Ofcom Code for Broadcasting we see that they regulate TV and Radio programs. This code is the rule book that broadcasters have to follow and it covers 10 areas, but the following areas appear relevant to this case:
“1. crime, disorder, hatred and abuse: ensuring that programmes do not incite crime, include hate speech which is not justified by the context of the programme, or reward criminality;”
“2. fairness: ensuring that individuals and organisations are not treated unfairly in a programme.”
There may be other areas of the regs that Ofcom may choose to exercise but the above two jump out at me. IMHO mentioning racial and/or sectarian abuse when none was specifically mentioned in the interview could be viewed as a very serious attempt to incite hatred and is certainly an abuse of a segment of the population.
Interesting to see the wriggling that will occur here.

Bada
Surprised it took so long for his value to rise.
It was 50 million two days ago then he scored the greatest goal ever in the history of the game so a paltry 100% rise in his valuation does not seem adequate.
Using the Ryan Jack calculator whose value went from peanuts to 40 million overnight after he scored 2 goals against the galacticos of Ross County then surely Hagi is now worth 200 million and by seasons end he will be the worlds most valuable player.
This also suggests they have accepted that their efforts on Morelos has been in vain and they will not realize anything like the ludicrous sums they have attached to him.
So operation Bum Up a Hun will be in full swing till the end of the season.
Craig White on the Rangers players lifestyles:
“The club doctor told me one of the players had picked up a sexually transmitted disease and his performances had seemed to dip as a result ”
Aye, I would think it would …we’re still talking about football here, right? ☺
I won’t be buying yer book Craig, but I wish you every success with it!
EVENING ALL, would like to put it on record, I think Traynor is a snake and would like to see him an his ilk slung out of Scottish football, but yes you have guessed it this is the best wee bigoted country in the world, so it will never happen, shower of orange freemason bassas, and that’s me in a good mood??
McCaff said earlier:
“Sky’s textchat response ‘We can’t be responsible for one individual’s opinions. It was broadcast live and as soon as we knew it was false it was withdrawn and apologies issued”.
This is surely a lie Sky have told! When you’re watching BBC/SKY News the subtitles come up jumpy, containing errors, which are then modified. Thus is not what happened with the Morelos interview!
I worked with BT for 40 years. I ended my days as a Customer Relations Manager. I know how these thing work. Sky staff are clearly being given a statement to put out to their customers which, to me, is untrue.
McCaff, maybe you should ask Ofcom to investigate their response?
Billy Bhoy, yes those subtitles were not typical of a live broadcast. What would be the need for an interview like that not to be pre recorded? It sounds like nonsense. Try watching the news with subtitles, they are all over the place.
