Lamb Is On The Menu!
Today sees another excellent Guest Article, this time by ASWGL. He and McCAFF are really getting into their stride now!
Succulent side orders we have recently been offered for digesting by the fair minded reporting journos of the smsm…
Alfredo Morelos the new Harry Kane.
Hagi loanee now worth £100 million.
Borna Barisic has a left foot like Messi.
Ryan Kent better than Eden Hazard.
Steven Davis compared to Christiano Ronaldo.
Filip Helander is the new Virgil Van Dijk.
Nicola Katic compared to Luca Modric.
Joe Aribo is new Yaya Toure.
Glen Kamara is like Patrick Vieira.
You may think I’ve made these up, but no-they were offerings served up to us by our national daily rags.
Colour me surprised none of the Ibrox megastars mentioned above have, this year or last, won a Ballon D’or. But no, astonishingly none of them have-not even a league medal nor a cup. I’m even more surprised that any journo that believes this meal being spoon fed to them isn’t wearing a straitjacket.
It’s not rocket science to figure out which PR Guru pushed this list of balanced and accurate, well presented facts, to the smsm from Castle Greyskull. (Remember her ? the weathergirl.. Kirsty McCabe from Reporting Scotland ?).
She advised Rangers fans ‘live on air’ that were heading to their game to “wrap up warm if you are heading to Castle Greyskull”. It caused an outcry at the time, much to the amusement of Celtic fans. Kirsty was a kilmarnock fan though and was having a slight dig at them for signing their striker Monster Munch Boyd from Kilmarnock.
Boyd went on to amass an amazing tally of 1 goal against Celtic, only 1 more their current top striker.
You’d likely all agree on the favourite to have pushed this nonsense to the smsm. A certain James Sexton Traynor.
As The Gombeen Man has so very sensibly pointed out once more, this PR farce that has been ongoing since December could (and should) have been nipped in the bud by any honest person in charge of a responsible PR position by simply stating (in his words) “Rangers are disappointed by the conduct of our player when he left the field of play, Mr Morelos has been fined by the club for his throat cutting gesture. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to any offended parties”. © TGM
But alas they were either too proud to do this. You know pride right? That thing that sometimes comes before a fall. Or too arrogant to admit the truth. Instead we were fed some BS PR line about the game being ended. That was basically saying, ”We at Ibrox are of the opinion that you are all so stupid you’ll believe this lie.”
The SFA should have stepped in before this got out of hand too, but yet again they fail to do much of anything these days that is for the benefit and betterment of the game.
Instead Scottish football have been put through a pantomime of PR disaster coming from over at Ibrox. How anyone with the slightest bit of sense over there, first team members and staff included, are not wondering just what in the hell have they have let themselves in for. Signing up to this nonsense is beyond the realm of sensible people. Is it affecting their game? Very likely.
We all know that he is a poisoned bitter twisted little person, and they should have seen the damage he causes well before now. He should have been given his marching orders years ago.
You really have to wonder how long they will continue to allow Traynor to embarrass them. Maybe they should use the compensation money they got when winning the Tax Case to appoint a new younger more experienced less bitter PR Guru? I mean they did win that and are still currently trading as The Rangers, right? And they have money surely? But then again, perhaps as someone once said…
Never interrupt your enemy when they are making mistakes.
