Resolution 12 centres around the issuing of a license to Rangers to play in the Champions League in the 2011/12 season after winning the league title in 2010/11. Resolution 12 argues that Rangers should not have been granted a license given their financial status at the time and that Celtic should have been promoted to the Champions League.
Resolution 12 is about football governance. It should not matter if the guilty club no longer exist. The focus of Resolution 12 is not an obsolete club nor a brand new one. IT IS ABOUT GOVERNANCE.

Belated Christmas Greetings to all on the blog.
Thanks to Bobby and Mahe for creating and running the blog. It’s a terrific forum for Celtic fans to get their views heard and tested by the world’s toughest jury; a rew hundred mad keen and pretty well informed Celtic fans.
This has been proven by the posts on the last thread.
I know both Hamilton Tim and Auldheid, both are uber Tims. I’m sad to see them falling out.
“You said, I said… You promised this…” type of row does not look good on reading back. It seems personal now too which is quite depressing really.
The only folk who benefit from all this are Celtic’s enemies and the board.

Morning all . I hope you all had a nice day yesterday.
Being newish on here .
Today’s nag . McMuldoon . Leopordstown 12.30 .
It’s howling outside , so an exposed to the weather stadium at Hamilton and a shite surface doesn’t bode well for an inspiring performance today.
It’s sad that today’s racing offers more optimism than the game at Hamilton.
Have a nice one and be lucky. HH
Gordon64
Auldheid Your criticism of The Celtic Trust and it’s leaders with regard to your pursuit of Resolution 12 is misdirected and counter productive to achieving your goal HH
GER57
The Celtic Trust has up until now been a group who give nuts and bolts help to Celtic fans who have been kettled, unfairly arrested, abused by their own club. It coordinated opposition to the OBAF Act and got the Act repealed. So it’s got a track record.
The potential open ended legal fees that could be involved in Res12 have spooked many CST members. Surely Auldheid must recognise this. It in no way says that his case is not right, just that it’s gonna be very expensive. It diverts cash away from what many see as more useful work on behalf of fans.
He is trying to realign the Trust’s priorities, so he must expect some caution/resistance from longer standing members. It’s maybe the case that Auldheid needs to present his proposal more effectively.

From what I understand Auldheid was not asking the Trust to take on board the resolution, lock stock and barrel. The resolution was voted down at the AGM because it was felt unnecessary as Celtic would be taking the concerns, to some degree, on board themselves. Speaking to the SFA & UEFA. He was suggesting that the Trust should monitor this commitment and put a timeframe on it. Say the Spring, for the Board to report back on the progress. This was a commitment made to shareholders at an AGM. The Trust represents some shareholders.
What is outrageous about that?
Gordon64

Can I ask you look at what I proposed to David Low at end of previous blog and tell me if it sounds like someone who doesn”t appreciate that it might not be worth pursuing?
Additionally can you look at what I suggested it be used for , not bringing SFA to account but Celtic.
Finally the legal approach should not be allowed to deflect from something the CST can do at no cost and that is to ensure Celtic do what they said they would in their response to shareholders statement in AGM notice.
I thought tackling the very issue the CST knows exist i.e. a Board that treats shareholders and supporters alike was in the CST interests.
I have made no attack on personalities at CST but whether I walk away or not the core issue will remain. Until the Board are tackled, which is what the pledge money was for but has been misrepresentrd by the CST it will be more shovelling green steam, so take the personalities which I never introduced out of it and consider the points made , its not a personality contest.
Look at where the CST position has put you, I tried from the moment your new President was elected to talk about the points I raised and he refused..
I suspect Celtic are behind this in that they feared being held to account for what they committed to at the AGM and in not taking that opportunity the CST has made an error of judgement based on inaccurate reasons.
PL will be laughing his head off.

The Supporters Trust stance with the OBAF act, standing in front of Catholic churches as Orange parades go past, memorial for the Great Hunger, are admirable beyond words. That alone would be a good enough reason to sign up to the Trust.
But I’m afraid they are not justification for every decision they make thereafter. And should not be used as such.
Maybe it’s all about our expectations of what the Trust should be about.
Taking on good causes – yes!
Taking on corruption and collusion also?

To be crystal clear I never at any point fell out with The CST and I’m sorry HT spoke as he did because I think CST have done great work in the areas mentioned, a reason why in the research years of Res12 they were never asked to provide anything but passive or technical support.
Personal attacks have come from one direction only but once emotions calm down and CST have a cool look at the cause of what they perceive as attacks and forget that in one view expressed by another member that I’m a condescending ???? who thinks he is always right and tells folk what to do, and they separate personalities from the issues, they might pause to think they arrived at the wrong decision for the wrong reasons.
By the way I definitely do not tell folk what to do, I suggest or persuade and am persuaded in turn by the argument, however on the other two points I can appreciate why individuals might see what I project in that light.
I try to guard against it but in the words of The Boxer a man sees what he wants to see and disregards the rest which of course includes myself.
The universe is unfolding as it should and having tried to nip misrepresentations in the bud, I’m getting out of it’s way for a week.

My point is taking on corruption starts at Celtic Park.
In my thoughts on the future direction of the CST I was in effect posing the question.of the role of a larger CST.
Trust members as a whole might ask for the issue of the purpose of the Trust to be debated.
What is their role and are they set up to meet it?
I hope this little ” fall out” stimulates that debate.

As i see it. The CST’s very ‘Raison d’être’ and credibility has been severely compromised by their refusal to pursue Res 12. FFS how difficult is that to understand! More important things to concentrate on than Res 12 and all that entails – what like trying to amass shares over a very very long period in the forlorn hope the PLC will take notice – even 5% holding will take quite a while and what is to stop investors aligned to the PLC increasing their own share holding in order to counter any CST move?
Perhaps i am wrong about the CST, i like JF and she has publicly stood up to the establishment supporting the ordinary Celtic supporter – much to the chagrin of many other ‘alleged’ Celtic fans and outlandish criticism from the SMSM. But JF appears to have been side-lined and a DL now has the chair. He has yet to prove his credentials – for me at least.
