Moving on,,,
The people have spoken.
Moving on is clearly the majority of the supports wish , 48k season tickets sold leaves little room for doubt.
A new regime with a new philosophy, a clearing out of the playing squad, a fresh character at the helm with an appealing footballing philosophy,,, all of these contribute towards the feeling of a new era, a new age (of Ange).
For the majority that is.
We all know moving on isn’t as easy for some, just as we all know some who renewed did so with a heavy heart, sometimes holding their nose at the national sports unsavoury side.
But no matter where you stand on Res12 or the 5WA, it’s clear most and the club are moving on.
There does seem to be some renewed enthusiasm on Kerrydale Street and things look on the up as far as the club are concerned, but we’ve reached D-Day for those who justifiably feel let down by our PLC.
No one desires to become a football nomad, left without a club, but moving on just can’t happen for a few.
I’ll state my opinion on what should follow, and it’s merely my opinion.
We’ve done remarkably well to ensure civility and non judgement of others when it comes to the club, but I believe more than ever we need to bring together the factions and all the clans with a unifying act.
Those who are moving on could genuinely say to the others look it wasn’t nice and I understand your dissatisfaction, put the arm around their shoulder and show there will be no judging going on.
Those who have decided they’ve had enough should be left with a positive memory of the club, not with a sense of bitterness. A unifying act could help ease troubled souls, knowing they don’t have the team but they’ll always have good company if they wish.
Everyone, absolutely everyone, should be left in no doubt that no matter what they choose after the decade that did it, they are part of the Celtic family, and that family will not judge nor turn it’s back.
The Celtic family should get together, engage again, and show that despite many different opinions the fans truly are the best part of the club.
There’s been a lot of division, the healing starts in each other’s company.
The world famous Tims always cheer me up, and humble me.
I just can’t get enough, and sometimes I wonder if going to the match is half for the football and half for the characters that journey entails.
I struggle with the love of that club more than anyone knows. And whilst of course walking away is an option, and I’ve considered it believe me, I will continue support on my own terms.
I’m not financing them in any way, we get the invites to talk and will always put forward our heartfelt views aka Call it Straight exactly as it says above.
There won’t be any forgiving or forgetting the last decades events, and I’ve blogged before how the music died, but ultimately we have a good thing going right here, we have each other, and a few fat cats should never be allowed to divide the family.
We keep going, and who knows where this blog will go or where this journey ends.
As always, Im proud to be among you.

Good morning, friends.
Well, reading your header was a relief because I feel exactly as you do
No more money into a WWF rigged league. If the new CEO calls out the Governing body or at the least admits Celtics involvement in the 5 way, the mess they made of resolution 12 and how they gave our Resolutioners a run around the merry go round, and no more being quiet about bent refs , then I will say we are in Reconciliation. Because 48,000 bought ST does not mean we are healed or are healing. If this season starts off bad watch the raw nevrves turn on management
I remember the first time I started to get the feeling there was a big problem at Parkhead, I can’t remember who’s autobiography I was reading at the time it was one of the Lions and he wrote a chapter on the bonus system they were on while conquering Europe, these guys were under payed to begin with, then they were getting chiseled on their bonus. And as much as I admire big Jock he certainly didn’t do the players any favours in the dealings with management. Then not too many years later we saw how they treated big Jock
Thanks Mahe I am with you
MORNING ALL and JIM, mahe brilliant post, im with you 100%, ill never forgive or forget those charlatans on the board ,turning celtic supporters against one another, all they care about is the bigot buck, if they want ill come up from cheshire to parkhead and drive them to the airport of their choosing free of charge, it will be a pleasure,,another true story.👍
Morning all from Costa Del Burgh Royale!
Mahe…a heartfelt plea which must resonate with anyone who reads this blog. You don’t always call it 100 per cent but you are bang on the money today…this is not over. Despite my decision to renew I did it for me AND my boy as it is the one thing that we can shut ourselves off to the world and just enjoy our time together. I can’t bring myself to give up my tickets as it would mean giving up too much good stuff…and despite the shitstorm which DD and PL have rained on our Club I still love the Celtic.
If Wankier had delivered your message then ‘mike-dropped’ at last week’s press conference maybe we’d all be feeling a bit better about our Club!
Enjoy your day everyone!!
Agree. Didn’t renew, but still want the team to win.
How many didn’t renew – 5-9K?
For Mahe…
Move on the 10 thing is history, one of the most important things is for some changes in personal in the Board of Directors, also big A P being backed with who he wants to play for Celtic ,and changes to his coaching staff, and hopefully we can reclaim the league title from Sevco who undoubtedly were helped by three men at Celtic,Lennon,Kennedy ,Strachan, whom I will give him some leeway,I know this isn’t the time to ask this question, any updates on the Hotel,Ticket Office,Musuem ,or any other developments in and around Celtic Park.

Hearing rumours of Sevco going the same way as the dodo & Rangers 187summit (God, please let it be true) and receiving more donations than children in need! But …The big question is ….
What are Celtic gonna do this time!?
What a pickle!!
Move on? Like …
Take it on the chin?
It evens itself out?
Back of the bus?
Not treated different?
Stand alone club (Course we are)😂
The Celtic you thought you knew is now dead …if it ever existed.
You gotta admire those that can “Move on” it’s the how that is the mystery to me. I’m dumbfounded when I think what the club has become.
Karma is gonna eat us alive.
The next financial meltdown in Scottish football is going to be a riveting watch
Everyone will need to contribute to the saving of Sevco …then Sevco2 …Sevco3 …and on and on! It’s all that matters!
What about those who can’t just move on?
Hmmm
Good luck to those who can afford and have renewed.
I get it.
Morning all,
I agree, we should all move on. So Jobo, change your moniker back to “ Jobo Baldie” tout suite, as the french are out and time to move on !!!!
HH 🍀🍀
As a very infrequent Poster, I must say the Leader Article has struck a chord with me.
As the Legend Tommy said A People & A Cause.
Unfortunately in recent years it has become a bit of a Civil War between Supporters & the bitterness & venom on Social Media between former Comrades has certainly driven me and I suspect many more to walk away from all the Blogs..
Regardless of what has happened in recent years, we should never forget our History & what it was that drew us into the Celtic Family.
Most of you I suspect were just born into it, others like myself discovered it.
Not sure if Mahe’s words will be embraced, disputed or ignored on here, I certainly support them.
We are stronger together, dissension plays into the hands of the Hun.
Excellent Sentiments Mahe,
Just Before We Rightly Move On – A Wee Personal Message From Me To Our Last CEO…
Yo Ho Ho, off you go

Bye-Bye Big Pedro
You’ve tried to excuse abject surrenders
While making a fast buck on our defenders
Let me give you this we tip, Celtic’s bigger than your ego trip
Bye-Bye Big Pedro
Yo Ho Ho, it’s off you go
What do you know? No ten in a row
Bye-Bye Big Pedro
Celtic’s on the ball again, support inclusive no distain
Bye-Bye Big Pedro
You can talk about your marvellous tenders
Back slapping plaudits from your bonus senders
Let me give you this we tip, Celtic’s bigger than your ego trip
Bye-Bye Big Pedro
Let me give you this we tip, Celtic’s bigger than your ego trip
Bye-Bye BIG PEDROOOooooo
Hail Hail
Any thought been given to the 000s of genuine fans who’ve walk away from the club for good?.
How many paying customers has Scottish football lost due to financial shenanigans of one club?
The 000s of Tic fans who believed we were the good guys, only to find out we are every bit as corrupt.
Move on? Move on to where? To a future where we all need to suspend reality? Lie to ourselves? Kid ourselves Rangers still exist? What an absolute crock of shit future that is!!
Set those that do, against those that don’t …same game, different faces.
Job done!
Good article Mahe.
However, I cant see the togetherness you crave until we get more Celtic supporters on the board.
DD and Bankier should be nowhere near our club.
Bankier is just a plain hun and the great desmondo is a self serving bully who gets his way whether it’s good or bad.
The future of the club is dependent on his mood, ffs.
Oh and have we signed anyone yet or is the club still “working very hard” on that front?
Not a brown penny more.
Plain and simple we surrendered to the Hun/establishment/money. Call it what you will – but move on FFS – hoist the white flag you mean – pathetic. SC has become a watered-down version of CQN populated with a new type of happy clapper you know the type – Ignore the lies and deceit, cultural history, diaspora, ethics all because it means you get to watch a facsimile of Celtic with your mates. It’s the modern bowl of soup you’ve accepted.
PS Chairboy – Blue Pete is still in the house
Everyone else don’t worry I’ll not be posting on here again.
Excellent article Mahe. It will be easier for me to move on once the likes of Bankier, Allison and Wilson are removed from our club for good.
Corkcelt
Nice to see you posting. I remember you from years back on CQN. Hope you’re well.
Back in the 60s, I soaked in the comments from the fans near me on the terracing. This was when we were a Euro superpower. The board got pelters. 35k at last week’s gemme? Aye, that’ll be right. Try 55k.
The real rot set in with Desmond White. He inherited a team which included all the Quality St gang and left us with Wayne Biggins and Andy Slater. Imagine that being the face of Celtic? Shudders.
Today, we can be far better informed, IF WE WANT TO BE. Therein lies the problem.
Most who contribute to this blog are well informed. We are very much the minority among the support. There are many who only want to watch the football, win lose or draw, and others who get their info from msm. Many of us thought that losing the ten, and disintigrating in the manner we did, would jolt the fans into action. Result? 48k season tickets bought.
Holding minority views, and expressing them, is good. Falling out with the majority because they disagree doesn’t make for an easy life. Us cognoscenti either start a campaign of some kind, or accept that most of our fellow Celtic fans just want to follow the team, win lose or draw.
The new leaders have a lot on their to do lists. All I can do is wish them well and good luck, cos they’re gonna need it.
Morning all & Packy.
Well said Mahe!
Mahe
Afraid I’ve got to disagree.
I cannot move on while Celtic fc/plc remain silent on the issues already raised on here.
Until Celtic fc/plc call.them out(55 titles,150 anniversary)I am out,I am no longer paying into this panto.
Therefore this will be my.last post on here
Good luck to you all and God Bless..
Auldheid,
Corinthians 13(1-14).
“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
Think of Love as the underlying, timeless reality that creates, links and is at the Source of everything.
Like an invisible, eternal energy that makes up everything.
Nothing to do with illusions like beliefs, history or hierarchies.
Paul had some form of experience of that Reality.
From that moment all of the superficial stuff. The bigotry, politics, quarrels found a new context.
They are all passing phenomenon, like the weather.
Everything is simply an expression of the Divine.
A manifestation of Love.
We’re just too caught up in illusory attachments and egocentric pursuits to perceive what we really are.
Sometimes life steps in and begins to break those attachments.
What’s known as The Dark Night or Night of Spirit.
This can be a bit of a rollercoaster but if we stick with it.
We’re changed utterly.
Everything has different perspective.
We wouldn’t exist without the underlying reality of Love. Wherever we are, we’re surrounded by it. The trouble is we think we have to earn it.
(No matter whatever someone does or says/posts. All they’re doing is looking for Love/ acceptance/recognition).
The tragedy is…It’s what we already are.
Without it nothing exists.
All we have to do is slow down. Let go of the junk and get out of Love’s way.
Unfortunately, most are just too attached to those resentments, fears and judgements to perceive what they are.
Self-centeredness, rationality, the desire for more are the expressions of a capacity that’s blind to the underlying reality of Love.
It’s that simple.
48k Supporters renewing is not because of Sentinelcelts. This site is not a haven for happy clappers. On a daily basis the crap Celtic Board has been called out & condemned.
Hoping for unity & tolerance amongst fans with differing opinions is not the end of the world.
Oglach, keep telling it like it is 👍
Óglach: Cat 4 @ 10:51 am,
No doubts he has influence – Ange is a PL’ appointment, a disgrace really and although obviously I’m hoping for the best for him and us all, with PLs track record it doesn’t look good.
I’m impressed by Dom MacKay though and it’s important that he’s allowed to do his job, for that he needs the support to get behind him, you know the Celtic supporter as well as anyone, they’ll back the guy.
That of course doesn’t mean the insidious toxin that has poisoned our Club disappears overnight (we have never been whiter than white anyway) but it does mean that we can concent on rebuilding the football club. Football and the way we go about our business in that regard is the most important thing to me. Sure…
The owners
The Board of Directors
The Backroom Staff
The Old firm business model
All survive but I really do think that sidelining Peter Lawwell – who was playing the support from day one (MO’N sussed him very quickly) and became singularly, an omnipotent malevolent force at our Club – is removing the linchpin.
Celtic never really were the Club we want them to be but they were a lot better than Lawwell esq. made us and I truly believe we will be a Club to be proud of again.
You’ll be a great loss, so KTF and continue to add to the debate.
Hail Hail
If today’s blog is any kind of indicator of the wider support, the % of our fans who are leaving the club for good is gonna be much larger than I thought.Feeling this angry & let down by the club has made it impossible for some of us to move on.
One club say they are going for their 56th title this coming season.
The other says …NOTHING!
Shameful.
Chairbhoy,
10.30
I actually like that wee ditty you produced.
Will be glad to see the back of PL but I suspect, like many others on here, that he will be hanging around like a bad smell. Just hope Dom has the balls to show he is the boss now !!!! Time will tell.
Chalmersbhoy,
Don’t go as I was going to buy you a pint, when we finally meet, in the newly refurbished Village Inn 🍺
HH🍀🍀
Donald Trump owns many golf clubs.
The power and influence he holds in those golf clubs ( in the US ) means it’s Donald’s rules , not the R&A , golf governing body.
The Trumpet is self appointed course record holder and club champion at many of these clubs.
Rules ? Regulations?
All side stepped , because basically no one challenges the different rule book, or points out the discrepancy.
Financial well being and non confrontation are easier than standing up to the bully.
Trumps golf clubs in the USA.
Scottish fitba .
Anyone see a similarity ?
Celtic PLC chose the pathway that the club has taken.
They chose 55.
They can go feck themselves.
Disgusted CSC.

I’ve got to agree.
Since I started on this blog, I have not seen 1 post praising or standing up for the Board. We all know that they are a bunch of Charlatans.
However to give the Happy Clapper/Traitor nonsense is way,way over the top.
I’ll just add:
Where were the Board on the night Johnny Doyle got sent off but Celtic still won the league.
Where were the Board when,In the Centenary year, Celtic came back late in games to win the double.
Where were the Board when Tom Rogic scored in the last minute to win the Treble Treble.
I’ll tell you where. I don’t know.
What I do know, is that Celtic Supporters were there. Shouting encouragement and willing the players on.
Giving their backing and energising the team when they needed it.
That’s the Celtic Supporters and as Jock said “ Football without fans is nothing.
Those who don’t renew or go back, I respect your decision but please don’t decry fans that do !!!
Sorry for rant.

MAHE
There is a major problem in simply moving on,and also the same in bearing grudges or turning our backs on the club. That is what the last fifteen years or so has done to the support,it has driven a huge wedge between us.
Some rightly say that going to games is about supporting Celtic, and nothing to do with an implied support of the board or their methods. That they’ve never had a picture of the board on their bedroom walls, never sung a song in praise of them.
Others are so disgusted by board behaviour in that time that it has trumped their love of Celtic, poisoned the well, and that they are so disgusted that they will never return.
In their own way, each has their own principled stand. I’m not going to argue against or in favour of either. But during that time mentioned, the overriding goal for many of us was to get rid of Lawwell,to have him more widely judged for the harm he was doing.
And we have finally achieved that goal. So,in that case,I think we HAVE to give the new guy the chance, the time,to prove that he can and will do things differently. That the club does in fact remember the values that it once held.
How much time? Well, that is down to the opinion of each individual supporter. But it is worth remembering why we wanted rid of Lawwell, and the damage he has done. It is a vast undertaking to repair that.
He should not be judged by the past actions of his predecessor, but by his own in the future. All we are asking is for him to enable us to be a club to be proud of again. It is too late for a great number of the fans,I appreciate that. But the rest of us want him to be successful, mainly because we are fed up being angry.
Moving on to where if we’ve had enough? It’s in our blood and it’s impossible to just go walk away. That’s what our Board and most Boards play on. Everything will be overlooked if a few high quality signings are made, a few good wins are had playing attractive football and there are signs of progress. All the deceit and disrespect shown to the support will be swept under the carpet. Luckily the support will be in the stadium next season. Organised and peaceful protests can be organised within the stadium. Let the Board know what we think of their behaviour in innovative banners, certain minutes during the game where the crowd do something attention seeking to show that we are not sheep. At the same time showing support for the team and the new manager. It needs the supporters to use imagination and humour to shame the Board into change.
Leggy @ 12:18 pm,
Thanks – Just some morning off nonsense but so glad to see PL and his Ego sidelined at Celtic, the fact he has had influence right up to his departure – the farcical nature of our “appointment” of Lenny’s successor is vintage Lawwell – shows how he pulls the strings.
Just wish his entourage within and outwith Celtic Park would follow…
Here’s to new beginnings
Hail Hail
The Gombeen Man @ 11:35 am,
Always enjoy your contributions, that is great insight.
Hail Hail
Leggy, I made mention of supposed ‘happy clappers’ on SC because of this post at 10.51am:
“Plain and simple we surrendered to the Hun/establishment/money. Call it what you will – but move on FFS – hoist the white flag you mean – pathetic. SC has become a watered-down version of CQN populated with a new type of happy clapper you know the type – Ignore the lies and deceit, cultural history, diaspora, ethics all because it means you get to watch a facsimile of Celtic with your mates. angel gabriel, and anyone else who is considering quitting the blog, please dont, thats what them bassas in the boardroom want you to do, they love seeing us arguing amongst ourselves, dont give them any oxygen, stay and fight them.PLEASE,.H,H,
I think 48k sales has put to rest for a season any kind of boycott,we need fans on our side myself i have no time for the board but will not walk away from Celtic.I will still visit the few blogs because opinions are very important not just mine.
So all you posters that are chucking it think again we need diversity.

Agreed. Where better to xpress your thoughts?

I have not fallen out with anybody on here.
It is my choice alone that I will no longer buy into Celtic plc as it’s other people’s choice to do so.
This is tearing me in two but I cannot support our club in any way while they endorse this new entity called !@# -££££££.and all that they proclaim..They have said f all of any significant importance since 2012.
I will return to the fold once Celtic plc grow a pair and call them out…
Leggy
Be great to meet you for a pint or two in the village inn,get my email from. Bmcwp..
Chalmersbhoy.. over and out..
CHALMERSBHOY, no problem i respect your decision, haste ye back👍
on a lighter note if there is one ,wee joan bought me an england flag to wave tonight, i did wave it, i waved it goodbye when i flung it out the window, another true story,
Good morning troops.
I would be gutted to see folk leave. I seriously considered chucking the blog and everything to do with the team but ultimately I don’t give them a penny and this site is growing in numbers and stature.
Some folk are actively working on a significant unifying act for the support.
I’m gutted at the last decades events more than nearly anyone but I can continue to remain involved on my own terms while still being able to look at myself in the mirror.
They aren’t getting my next generation, that’s the price they pay. It ends here with me.
The new Californian branch of the family don’t need that.
Please stick around everyone. The last thing we should do is implode because of different opinions.
Next week sees a large cheque to Mary’s Meals, continuing maybe the most important Tim tradition.
The fact this blog can and does actually help makes me proud, and tells me we have a good thing here.
You’ll Never Walk Alone
SentinelCelts is always a worthwhile visit.
Intelligence, debate, humour and plenty I’ve met and enjoyed their company.
I see no reason to stop visiting or posting on this site .
Fair do’s to those that still intend to purchase season tickets. Not for moi , but alternate Saturdays will now be a different day .
Personal choices. HH
MAHE, thats great news about marys meals and thank you and bobby for giving us this great site, yes you will never walk alone, cheers buddy👍
Great stuff as always Mahe.
I’ve renewed but the Board get nothing but contempt from me. My son is heavily involved in the CT and it’s my hope that in time we’ll bring them to heel.
Meanwhile, in the immortal words of JFK – “Ich Bin Ein Berliner!
🇩🇪
Chalmersbhoy Respect to you and all Celtic supporters who have taken the stance that in good conscience you can no longer financially support Celtic, which i fully understand and appreciate is a huge sacrifice. For many others renewing their STs is the price they have to pay for the pleasure of going to watch Celtic play with friends and family which is a huge part of their lives and one that is extremely difficult to forego, especially given the past 15 months we’ve all had to endure. Whatever choice each of us makes at the end of the day we’re all still Celtic supporters. ‘We are Celtic’ HH 🍀
C’mon Germany 🇩🇪
hope wee joan doesnt see this, lasst uns die Engländer schlagen,,another true story,😎 translated it says, lets beat the english 👍
It seems that there are layer of required decisions as a “supporter” of Celtic. Walking away means different things to different people. Firstly, there is the issue of financial support….do I or do I not? Then there is the decision of unofficial streaming sites…do I watch games there or not? Following on, there is the social media question…..do I view/contribute to blogs etc? Finally, there is the decision, should I reconsider my previous decisions?
Many of us have been/still are going through these layers. Some even disrespect the decisions of others, presumably because they see those viewpoints as counterproductive to their own.
I am not going to support the club financially, nor shall I use unofficial streams. At the moment, I still view and contribute to Celtic related social media. But I am not sure for how much longer. If you are not involved with the team and games, it makes it difficult to contribute meaningfully in discussions. Part of me wishes to be engaged but a larger part says enough is enough.
I was, frankly, shocked at the number of renewals and it illustrates that much of what goes on in social media simply does not represent the majority of fans at the moment. It does not mean that it is irrelevant but that it has a long way to go before it becomes an influencer in big decisions. The Trust, in particular, should be aware of that.
As I look for understanding of my situation, the only similar parallel that I can come up with is from a different, distant version of me. I am referring to when I was single and I got dumped(not that ever really happened!). There is a similar feeling of loss and not knowing where to go from here. There is also feelings of disappointment in my judgement. If this is a benchmark for my current situation, then it shows that I shall move on and that the void will be filled.
Enough introspection for one day,
Rebus
