We don’t normally hit you all with an additional article at the weekend,but next week’s schedule will be slightly different from the norm. You’ll understand when you see the article on Monday-and Tuesday would be too late,plus we play Real Madrid that night!

I don’t know how good we were on Saturday-if I’m honest,I didn’t think we were that good. We didn’t need to be. But we WERE very good indeed,actually! Much better than them,we made sure that they never got near us. To control a game,THAT type of game,as we did?
Oh yeah,I don’t know how good we were at all!
We lost our talismanic star man after a mere thirty seconds. We had players being pulled kicked and elbowed. We even had the most blatant red card decision denied in the dying minutes. Ptchaaa.
I was over in darkest deepest Essex last week with my best mate and his wife. We watched the 9-0 thrashing of Dundee United,where six of the goals came from a very precise pass indeed,and a square ball across goal.
I pointed out to SOLKITTS that a repeat today would be more than they could handle. Their full backs switch off and can’t defend,their centre backs are slow as a week in the jail.
So it proved. Two square balls across the box.and one very precise pass for the other left us three up at half time.
Just how good was Jota’s finish? But just how good was the pass from Matt?
I said when he signed that I expected us to renew and extend his contract in the summer,that was how highly a friend in MK rated him. Best since Dele Alli,he said. It hasn’t happened yet,but I think we should get the finger out here. Plus,it seems the girls love him,so the image rights will pay for it!
This is a right good side,a right good squad,that Ange has built. Europe is an entirely different challenge,and we can probably take that one step at a time. When I think back to fifteen months ago,and the difference since?
You know,it’s maybe time I did something that I genuinely cannot believe I have not done yet.

I’ve never seen anyone like Lubo,so talented with both feet. Seems his colleagues weren’t too sure whether he was left or right,he was simply superb with either.
Had they googled him,it was obvious that he was naturally right footed. When he was a kid!
That goal against Hibs,for instance,struck so sweet and true that the manufacturer’s name didn’t move on the ball,even when he hit it from 30 yards.He should have got advertising royalties for that.
There are not many players who have played for Celtic that I love more than Lubo. But there’s only one that was a more skillfull player.
When Martin O’Neill turns round and says-where have you been all my life?-I think he gets it. We all did. But think of us signing him when he was 23 and not 33? That would have been the Centenary Season,I think.

Im presently in Sudbury (Canada’s answer to Aberdeen, but 4 hours north) for my neice’s wedding. My sister was young and single when she had Fiona, so the whole family pitched in to raise her, so she is the closest I will have to a daughter. I can still remember taking her to the swing park for the first time, and taking her to her first day of school. Heading out now to see her get married.
