Auldheid @ 3:07 am,
Interesting comments on SC last night in the wake of the gesture of closure by Celtic
Of course I’m with you on the forgiveness, if we truly understood what Jesus Christ was trying to teach us, we would understand it is the only way.
You have cited many interesting and illuminating examples of practical forgiveness and reconciliation processes over the years, which are of course a necessity in this world of turmoil and conflict.
For me, it is simple, as fortunately my life is simple, yet it was not always without anguish, anger and resentments, those must remain in the past because as they say; not forgiving is like drinking poison and expecting another person to get sick.
Hail Hail
Good morning, friends and Happy Christmas Eve Matchday.
Following today’s game voting will be open as usual but will be extended until 10,00am on Monday morning. The results should be out around Noon on St Stephen’s Day. SENCELPOTY@GMAIL.COM

I read Philβs article last night and came on here to see if you had posted your views.
My own initial reaction to the news was disappointment. To me the outcome seems a bit like knowing someone had broken into your house and stolen your most valued possessions. Then telling them all was ok as you had now fitted an alarm so they couldnβt do it again.
I must say I admire your spirit of forgiveness and I am pleased that you have enough forgiveness to take comfort from this outcome. Especially after all the work you put into this over many years.
You are clearly a much better man than I am.
Hail Hail
I notice The Scotsman has called out the Tommy Burns song last night.
Has anyone else.
Have Celtic FC raised the issue.
If not should they.
Has anyone got a sausage to the game

Merry Christmas, Tommy Burnsβ. A festive ditty loudly sung by many Rangers fans within the two-thousand-plus travelling support. Designed for one purpose, to annoy and get a rise out of others, namely Celtic fans. Beyond embarrassing and cringeworthy

Auldheid from last night and Phil’s pages…
I just had a quick read back but I have a feeling that Celtic PLC have attempted to put Res12 to bed without fully explaining their part in the giant mess it was! It just looks to me like a pay off to finally silence their critics.
Whilst any donation to the Foundation is needed and welcome Β£11k feels like it is our 30 pieces of silver.
…and also, who monitors the monitor! Just like before if a club decide not to pay due taxes in favour of strengthening the playing squad to boost efforts to qualify for CL or EL and don’t declare to the SFA and the SFA don’t ask the question what is to stop a club doing as they please!!
Only after having to break up a fight between two elderly ‘gentlemen’ Belfast city centre, one blaming the other for skipping the queue for the bus.
Both must be in their 70’s
Christmas eve for crying out loud. π₯΄
Anyway made it home in time for the game.
COME ON CELTIC! π

You have to know the guy a bit who started the ball rolling (Michael Nicholson) to understand this was not a gesture to buy off anyone but a way of saying sorry.
To me it would be churlish not to accept the offer in that spirit.
Chances not being converted.
Familiar story.
Auldheid…I can easily trust your word on that re Nicholson but from a PLC point of view it smacks of trying to quietly put the issue to bed.
I think Nicholson appears to want to have our best interests at heart but an openness about the Res12 issues and the time taken to address them to accompany the payment would have been a more honest way to deal with it.
It still feels like an elephant in the room to me and the payment is bittersweet!
16R…my girls have part time jobs, one in H&M and one in IKEA. The stories this last couple of weeks of short tempers and rudeness among customers and against staff are incredible! It’s Christmas for feck’s sake…calm doon everybody!!! π€£π€£π€£

McCaff – Irony being that I was waiting at the stop first, yet the two of them jumped in front of me when the bus arrived. π€£
No idea what the rush was about, bus was on time, plenty of room.
Probably a matter of principle.π΅βπ«
Loudness of them, shoutin’ and ballin’ then firing digs at one another.
James Forrest looking lively on the flank.
O’Reily trying to be creative.
16R… heeheehee! Brilliant – like a Still Game sketch!!πππ
Saints 2 goals behind, yet have 11 players behind the ball.
Damage limitation exercise, not good for football though.
27 minutes
5 shots
3 on target
2 goals
At that conversion rate in all games weβd have scored about 800 goals this season π
Weβre ahead on every stat including these:
Possession 71%. 29%
Fouls. 8. 2
Bookings. 2. 1
Is that what they call total domination
Wee Kyogo again.
Frodshambhoy
What a dirty team we are, 71% possession and committing 8 fouls, shocking the game should be forfeited as a 3:0 lossπ±π
Don’t know who has my tickets today but hope they are enjoying the gameππβ½
Good first half, St Johnstone offering very little in attack, Mooy has been very good, and Hatate looking solid in a very unfamiliar role, good to see Kyogo on the scoresheet again, confidence boost if nothing else for the wee man
Good first half
Mooy has been excellent.
O’Riley, poor once again.
Wonder who has a 7-0 prediction

Agreed we must be a bunch of dirty bassas π€£π€£
All kidding aside does anyone keep stats of possession v fouls over a league season.
I bet we would have the worst foul ratio anywhere you care to look.
Imagine being 3-0 down at half time and realising you could still be hit with Giakoumakis, Abada, Jota and Haksabanovic…
Seasons greetings to everyone, especially those experiencing health issues.
It is difficult to establish new friendships, particularly remotely, but this blog does it superbly.
Thanks to Bobby and Mahe for all their efforts.
