Trouble and Strife
As we all heard, via Phil who I believe, the big sit-down didn’t go very well.
Our PLC told Crawford Allen they are either incompetent or cheating. No answer was offered on the day, rather it was offered on the field of play with another shocking display by the match day officials taking charge of the Big 2 during the midweek round of fixtures. I’ve no doubt this weekend shall witness that response being repeated with even more ‘enthusiasm’.
To me the situation has become pretty clear, it’s revenge against our club.
Revenge for what you might ask?
For going above the SFA or SPL and helping push through regulations which hamper the establishment clubs spending, allied with that particular club being placed on UEFAs watchlist.
Celtic FC broke the local chain of command, and instead worked directly with the big boss with the aim of injecting some sensibility into the national sports top flight while protecting the taxpayer from ending up on the hook (again) for any deviation of sensible financial expenditure.
I’ll go on the record with my appreciation for the boards action on this topic,,as one who calls them out when they fail to act or act incorrectly, it’s only fair I give praise when I feel they made the correct choice on any given topic. Which they did.
Well done the board, and long may I continue typing those words.
Every action has consequences, and this action certainly does. The uppity Tims have only gone and stirred the pot, flexed their muscle so to speak, and used their influence to ‘hurt’ the blues, so they must receive punishment in the eyes of others.
The easiest punishment is apparently by dodgy officiating.
I find this particularly galling as our board essentially ‘saved’ that club, having a title rival was clearly deemed essential for business by the board, so one imagine the resuscitated being somewhat grateful.
‘Thanks for the blind eye, not disputing the titles and all that, we will behave after that close one but now let’s get the show back on the road!’ should be the overwhelming mindset for everyone attached to The Rangers including Hampden and the refs but oh no.
Enforced regulations which curtail debt has riled some of the aforementioned up, for some reason. One would imagine their supporters would be happy the big L word will be a thing of the past but again no.
The fact these regulations give the green half of Glasgow an edge in the league title chase through more season ticket sales, plus match day and commercial income, is very unwelcome. Every Champions League slot helps cement the financial dominance.
The refs and their sense of entitlement are clearly pushing things to a head. Part of me is delighted as the rot in Scottish football needs to be brought into the light and tackled, yet part of me is saddened for the innocent bystanders who get caught up in the national sports power struggles that go far beyond mere sporting rivalry.
The vengeance of the whistlers is symbolic of a culture of supremacy that rallies and rails against being forced into the modern game, the modern world. It’s ironic their malfeasance hastens the showdown which must surely
bring about their downfall, either through foreign refs by consensus or demands for an equivalent of the soon to be announced Independent Regulator for English football.
Ultimately, they dig their own grave. They are unable to stop this fantastic team domestically, and aren’t involved in our European ties. Our team has moved beyond their clutches, and this fact must kill them.
And even though it’s fruitless, they persist in pestering, blissfully unaware such pettiness exposes their charade more than needed and raises more questions than needed.
Keep digging please because you can’t stop us, and every ‘missed’ handball and extended VAR check to scour for transgressions simply shows how biased, how utterly unprofessional the referring system in Scotland has become.
Keep helping to make the case for reform while watching the Celts lift title after title.
Keep making every league title double sweet.
And keep an eye on the job market would be my advice.

There may well be some truth in the reasons you suggest for their transparent impartiality.
They don’t like it up ‘em.
However, given their tentacles have a long reach what makes one think any Regulator appointed would be Independent? This is Scotland, their country their rules.
Not so long ago VAR was welcomed as the potential on field leveller. That hasn’t worked out too well.
Reform can only be truly effective if Ludge influences are cut out. That would require very deep root “n” branch reform in Scottish football.
And I doubt very much the Scottish Establishment would sanction such a thing, their dog whistle foot soldiers need a relevant diversion.
As for “the resuscitated being somewhat grateful”
– such a thought would never enter their self entitled, supremacist mindset borne out of a bigoted, racist worldview.
Self correction- “transparent prejudice” not impartiality”
Early morning brain not engaged properly.
MAHE
Absolutely correct. I’ve said since it started that they’re just trolling us now. “What you gonna do about it?”
Bugger all we can do,other than what we have. Except give them enough rope,a la meetings with Allen, etc, and take it to UEFA. We most certainly aren’t getting anywhere in Scotland. Not with the nicely-nicely “proper channels”
Start naming n shaming the guilty parties.
I know- a long list!
I must say, that I’m not totally convinced that any meeting actually took place with the CEO and Crawford Allan.
If it did, get it out in the open.

With respect to Independent Oversight which is what should become law for the English FA but faces the perception or reality of its independence in Scotland depending on its constitution, a key recommendation of the Tracey Crouch review is making supporters key stake holders in the governance of clubs and hence SFA. No bloody 5WA in those circumstances.
Exactly how is to be decided but one idea is the establishment of Shadow Boards elected by supporters, something the CST picked up at last AGM.
My concerns there is I dont think they are properly constituted to do that job nor resourced to do it.
I posted a year or more ago what I thought the CST would need to do to properly represent ALL the support not just shareholders.
I’ll have a look for it to copy here because I think some of the elements in it would help form a job description as it were for a Shadow Board and folk can comment.
I predict that if the SG follow the TC review and I’m waiting for indication they are, then what form supporter input will take will become the talk of the Steamie as will who should be elected.
I can think of a few posters on social media including here over the past years that I would like to see on Board.
Buckle up lads. 🙂

As I said in my previous post the following is now an example of various elements a Shadow Board if it comes to pass could adopt or adapt.
The Future of the CST. Thoughts.
The following are some thoughts for CST to consider to help make Celtic more accountable to their support based on experience of pursuing Resolution 12.
Suggest CST change name from CST to the Registered Name: Celtic Supporters’ Society Limited Company Number: IP29147R so that it is clear CST is open to supporters and shareholders alike.
Give supporters without shares a reason to join more than buying shares to enable CST to speak for them . Make use of technology and harness social media to identify representational issues, seeks views and act on them after gaining consensus.
Revisit the CST Constitution to see if it needs changing to reflect what in effect would be a re branding and whatever aims , objectives and roles the rebranded organisation take on.
Expand the new organisation to cover many thousands of Celtic supporters, ST Holders, Celtic TV subscribers, etc to give them added authority when raising issues with The Board.
Give each member a membership card with a membership number.
Be prepared to use the financial investment supporters make in Celtic to challenge what is in the Company’s interest where resistance is being met by The Board with no good reason.
Make the Celtic Board more accountable and transparent as a result.
Use subscriptions to fund share purchases, set up legal cost fund (you need lawyers to argue your case with Celtic/SPFL/SFA Lawyers) and pay someone to administer /manage the expanded membership.
Reshape web site to capture emerging issues, keep track of them and keep membership up to date on issues
Invite contributions from Celtic supporters that align with organisations aims for publishing on the web site.
Allow for a much expanded AGM and look at how it might be set up, perhaps using same technology as the Open Meeting on Zoom.
Encourage volunteers with specific expertise to join sub committees to cover separate issues where particular knowledge is needed.
Set agendas and invite Celtic to attend rather than be invited to meetings in small groups and encourage two way dialogue with Celtic as a prerequisite for restoring trust.
Disabuse The Celtic Board of any notion the Celtic support are not capable of rational engagement.
Res 12 Lessons.
Much bigger support baseline needed.
Celtic use the lack of such to ignore pursuing issues
Legal fund absolute necessary to establish shareholder rights and Director responsibilities and challenge legal reasons used to obstruct progress.
Media are under Celtic’s thumb, many journalists briefed on Res12 evidence, none followed up because it is not in their interests, so a respected presence on Social Media required to get any message out.
Make a connection between business issues being pursued and results on the park so that there is a greater understanding of the importance of having a Board that is accountable as symptoms of poor business practice manifest themselves on the field of play.
A lot of hard work involved but easier if spread over a larger organisation with a wider resource base to call on..
Auldheid
Many thanks for the information provided.
An Independent Regulator is the vital element to assuage every fear we have( with good reason).
Your comments re CST make sense.
Subscription led with clear aims- I’m in.
What level of subscription makes the organisation self sustaining and viable?
I´m with you St. Tams. The same old same old tried and tested methods

I find it difficult to make the connection between historic continued mibbery and the above (see URL). Note that Chelsea are on this list. The club that has just spent in this window more than all other clubs in the top 5 combined. I would suggest (may be wrong) that Chelsea are doing so to remain the ESL frame. If the fraternity were still upset at the head of the establishment Queen Elizabeth II rocking up at the home of the downtrodden Celtic Park to open up the Commonwealth games I would find more believable but that´s fantasy as well.
The Tracey Crouch review was born from Boris Johnstons election manifesto. The Tories themselves have yet to even address her recommendations made 18 months ago and even if they do which is questionable then extremely optimistic estimates is that it will not be implemented in England for at least another 5 years. The FA, UEFA cannot see this proposal far away enough. So a long long time before it would have any effect on the Scottish game. Tory manifesto pledges are there to be broken
There are many independent bodies that the UK regularly set up to regulate matters that are far more important than a sport, basically to placate the peasants. They are all toothless. Haven´t you noticed ?
Celtic PLC want Rangers to finish second not third. That explains why even in the face of VAR treatment nothing has changed regarding mibbery. Why would anyone expect it ? genuine question
I´m off to the Hertha game today and then I´ll be taking in the egg chasing. Hope you all have a great day. This will be my first game without my long johns on in 2023. Was at the Darmstadt SV game last night and I was sweating my nether regions off.

Auldheid…I give you ‘Club 1888’! 😳
Mahe — slightly different take from me …
Financial stuff Mk2 from EUFA — the target is “Nation State” FC buying the CL / EPL financial mentalness / big team financial cuteness. You know the story — no matter where RM build their next training ground complex Madrid council will want to buy if for billions in 20 years time.
TFOD2.1 is a second string issue in this company — fair play if we have managed to get them added to the list but we are / were followers and not leaders in all of this.
VAR stuff / refs / penalty nonsense — not sure if we have moved too early / came on too strong.
Better to have given them — TFOD2.1 — another three months of Ludge support and then moved after the league was won.
That would have generated more evidence / more statistical anomalies / more laugh out loud decisions.
Now they might double down and take the flak that was coming anyway — hung for a sheep as a lamb.
Every game for us going forward is worth a watching — away games to the fore.
The way to beat the shambles of the SPL is visibility in the wider world.
Highlight their failures and laugh at them — starting with GL / AS on the BBC.
That EPL decision was very poor but nothing compared to what TFOD2.1 get in the SPL.
Stuff like that.
MADMITCH
Disagree. Time to do it IS now. The league isn’t over, after all-or the refs wouldn’t still be at it.
Keep chipping away, and go for the jugular nearer end of season. If no joy, send the minutes of all meetings plus the accumulated evidence to UEFA.
AH @ 9.18 / busy morning
Res12 — never quite got it.
Backward looking / TFOD1.0 focus / less relevant by the minute / them living in too many heads rent free.
Me = LNS review needs updated / titles won with side letters / poor SPL response to financial doping.
That is the stuff we need to push — using all the levers we can find.
Compare and contrast — the egg chasing world / down south Saracens played the same game and got demoted as a going concern.

Act now — very much a yes.
But make it a shot across the bows …
Ask them for their thoughts on what has happened since VAR came in.
The more data you have — the bigger the shift from the statistical norm.
A summary of facts / data analysis highlighting statistical anomalies / international comparisons …
Not banging the desk and firing off a rake of fecks — leave that for later.
We should be using our connections — AUS / US / Japan / Engerland — to bring this nonsense to a bigger audience.
Ludge SPL can handle the shouting / the conflict — they cannot handle the laughing / the ridicule.
MM…we were too late in challenging them re VAR. We should have called them out as soon as the first ‘mistaje’ was made. Don’t forget how quick oot the stalls Crawford Allen was to call out Kyogo’s Tynecastle goal!
Nah, stamp ’em and stamp ’em hard!!
Resolution this, resolution that.
Thousands and thousands of words…for what?
No uppity Celtic board = NOTHING gets done.
VAR and the MIBs would be roasted alive by the Jungle, and now we have rustling sweety papers types of pretentious blogs whining about “Celtic being cheated” really?
Celtic FC and Celtic blogs are the biggest cheats in the Scottish game coz they cheat their own fellow fans “Comrades all” EYE my arse!
Celtic put Rangers price onto Sevco tickets in 2016 after Sevco got promoted, and didn’t mention this to their fans, rather they distracted their fans, or tricked them, fans who
d already been transformed into Brendan Rodgers love struck zombies, so who cared about the price of tickets eh lol.
"F*K Celtics Integrity!” said 53k Green Grifters covered up by 2 thoroughly sleekit blogs, 2 cheeks ae the same arse!
Point is, Celtic priced Sevco = to Rangers, the sneaky, sleekit, cheap hun style, of F*KING your own fans to save Old Firm games, and TWO 2 Celtic blogs, CELTIC QUICK NEWS & SENTINEL CELTS actually CANCEL the WHISTLE BLOWING of the cheating of their fellow Tims, as well as covering up the PLC
s trashing of Celtic integrity.
AULDHEID, TOOKTHESOUPRECIPE, SETTING FREE THE BLUFFER, PHIL MAC lol, and many more, all help to cover up the PLCs Old Firm ticket pricing deceit on their own “Comrades” lol.
SEVEN 7 years of Celtic fans being cheated and none of these mega mooths have said a single word, choosing instead to help cover up the PLC corruption.
These names are doing the Old Firm bidding get it right up thum!
Celtic are the green cheek of the Old Firm arse.
From best fans in the world – to sleekit sell out grifters.
Only an uppity Celtic executive can clean up this disgusting stench.
I propose 3 names to lead this executive chosen because they are clever Tims who take no bs, if you open your eyes and read their words then you wont be dumb, read their straight talking, straight forward, astute, integrity packed, and never get floored by any of many cheap punches that are thrown at them.
These 3 names are what Tims should be like – nobodies mugs.
I will only describe them by their blog names.
1. THE LEOPARD’S RIMSHOT.
2. CANAMALAR.
3. ERNIE LYNCH.
The PLC would jump oot the window if they saw these 3 formidable Tims at the front door.
There are a few other good names, like those who showed solidarity to, THE LEOPARD’S RIMSHOT, when he was being stitched up, and knifed in the back, with a pack of lies, in the conspiracy lol led by, honest BMCW, and that holy bible thumper, AULDHEID, what a F*KN disgrace you are man!
Most posters on the 2 sleekit blogs will give these names the thumbs down because yeez don’t like it up yeez, and those types of minds should be moved on from as all of their PLC sucking heads…are F*KN EMPTY so…GTF!
Celtic and its supporters are cheap, lousy, woke, bandwagon mugs, and cheap PLC whores who make me sick.
Uppity Tim executive or, every day that “fake Celtic” and its even more “fake fans” are cheated by VAR & MIBs then these days will be joyously celebrated victories for ALL suppressed Tim WHISTLE BLOWER’S who`s truth is buried by sleekit sell-out w*nkers.
F*K ALL GREEN GRIFTERS!
McCaff- Crawford Allan called out Kyogo before VAR was introduced. Been brought in half arsed with 6 cameras, including one on the M74 near Motherwell, it could be argued getting brought in mid season, distorts the competition, the idea of having VAR in some Scottish Cup ties, and not others is ridiculous. HH
Do we ACTUALLY know that the club met with the SFA? We seem to be relying on the say so of a blogger in Donegal!
Surely the Board have a duty to at least inform Shareholders that they have raised concerns about “Industry Standards” with the regulators”?
Whether they have or not it is by now 100% crystal clear that we are being ” treated differently ” (C) John Reid.
Despite this, we have won 15 of the last 20 titles and are a shoo in for 16/21. Indeed, if we had won at Ibrox last month it would already be all over.
Which gets me thinking: If it wasn’t for the EBT era we would be going for 21 in a row – at least! What would this say about Scottish football? How would we attract players to the most farcical league in world football? What would our TV deal look like at that stage? Would there still be a 16,000 waiting list for a Season Ticket?
Perhaps these are the reasons our club didn’t go for the jugular in 2012 and demand title stripping.
BadaBingBadaBoom!…that was my point about Crawford Allen, he was quick out of his office to call out Kyogo’s goal with nae feckin proof of anything! It was a bad judgement call on his part. With proof of bad calls courtesy of VAR we shoulda been nailing them at the first opportunity! Michael Smith’s immediately handball springs to mind!
Final reminder for Superbru predictions this afternoon
Embdae seen Crawford Allan?
bada bing 1
Crawford was last seen sitting in the Paisley stands with Chic Young where he always gets a clear view of Kyogo being offside.
Same happened the other night but VAR didnae help his cause.

To start making sense of Res12 please take the time to read
https://philmacgiollabhain.ie/2022/01/04/an-opportunity-for-michael-nicholson-to-have-a-fresh-start/
Res12 A Story of Duplicity from Cradle to Grave.
That was Jan 22.
For its continuing relevance re LNS have a read at Phil’s latest blog where he continues to refer to the Res12 Archive for all the evidence that the SFA require reform.
https://philmacgiollabhain.ie/2023/02/04/imperfectly-ineligible/#more-28962
Around 2018 when I realised neither Celtic or media would act on the unfolding story, with help from contributors from SFM the Res12 Archive was built and it continues to fulfill its purpose of reminding folk what many want buried.
Res12 provided UEFA directly with the skullduggery at Ibrox and at 2021 AGM had Celtic commit to engaging with SFA and UEFA about SFA abandoning their investigation into the UEFA 2011 licence.
FSR which Celtic claimed to have played a significant part of in last AGM papers meets that undertaking.
The section re overdue payables has been significantly strengthened.
Whilst Res12 can claim no direct influence on player squad spend the information UEFA had told them they were dealing with an organisation prepared to commit fraud in the criminal sense of the word.
(I’ll post something new a bout that later)
What Rangers did from 2000 could have killed UEFA as well as SFA and other Scottish clubs, so some harness on their spending habits was needed.
FSR as it will apply in Scotland where it really matters is part of a journey to more fair play. I covered that the other day in a reply to McCaff from memory.
Building on that comes next and that needs broadening the front wider than Celtic and the Tracy Crouch review whose recommendations will become law in England by 2024 and are being pushed by SFSA to emulate in Scotland, provide a platform to take the next step on the journey and I’m on that train.
You folks will follow once the itinerary becomes clearer.
Are we now supposed to trust both the CST and the Celtic board? An awful lot of forgiveness is being asked of the support with feck all contrition being shown, that is apart from a ‘small contribution’ to charity which was after all paid for by the support.
Aw Naw.
With regard to Tracy Crouch recommendations becoming law it was reported in the Times that it would happen next year. There are links to relevant items by
https://philmacgiollabhain.ie/2023/01/06/the-value-of-outsiders-on-planet-fitba/
With regard to supporters in Scotland seeking the same the SFSA are on that job.
They have met the guy behind the supporters of English clubs who wanted change as well as Tracey Crouch and have support within the SG.
With regard to Chelsea etc UEFA are already addressing the long contract trick that helps clubs keep player squad spending within the limits football earnings.
It’s not a matter of UEFA paying lip service to placate.
In my opinion based on human nature it is a matter of unbending the circumstances that if not straightened will kill the very thing UEFA depend on for their very being.
We watch it every Saturday and if not corrected even the most die hard of supporters not in light blue will revolt with their coin.
The global pendulum of lies is meeting resistance as the consequences manifest themselves everywhere that lies have taken root.
It is swinging back because folk can see the wrong lies are delivering and there are more honest folk around than liars, as this blog and most Celtic blogs affirm.

No we bloody well ain’t! And please cut out your incorrect understanding of forgiveness stuff. It is clouding your vision. Badly.
We need as supporters to reform, get off our arses and be ready to fight for the changes that Tracey Crouch has persuaded the English Parliament are need under law in England.
Do you think the Celtic Board will meet some sort of meaningful supporter input with open arms?
We dont know what Celtic’s policy will be. Hopefully lessons will be learned from the past and Agreement reached in a manner that most supporters will buy into but those representing supporters need to go much wider than the CST.
You seem to have misread the exchanges between CFC and myself hence my clouding your vision reference.
The list is one I put to CST in 2021 to become more representative of the Celtic support as a whole with no response from CST and as I explained contains elements of what is needed to replace them.
However I said in the beginning folk are going to have to become much more active to make it happen(a euphemism for getting off their arses) because a Celtic united is going to have a better chance of survival in the future than a Celtic divided.
MAHE
First class article, and as always, AULDHEID delivers sage advice. If the CST move to a subscription basis, I am in with CFC, and I will try to recruit as many others as I can on this side of the Pond.

Dont blush or apologise because CFC is a guy with the kind of attributes I’d vote for if a Shadow Board were ever formed, but that list was suggestions I put to CST in 2021 if they were ever to move out of their shareholder only niche.
I’m looking ahead to the kind of attributes that would be needed for a credible Shadow Board to be formed not individuals.

I have absolutely no misunderstanding of ‘the forgiveness stuff’ as you put it, or at least your idea as to what that pertains and neither is my vision being impaired by my understanding of it. Let’s just leave it at that.
So many big thoughts about big issues in Scottish football. Meanwhile back in reality, it is -29 degrees here, which with wind chill takes it to -40! There is an extreme weather warning out for the first part of today. God help those without a home, or those unable to heat their home. That kind of weather kills.
These situations should allow some perspective on the troubles in football land.
As a former colleague used to say, “The situation is impossible, but not serious!”
To return to the grand old game and the match tomorrow, I urge caution. Stats can be used as a drunken man uses a street light, for support rather than illumination. However, I checked total shots and shots on goal for Celtic for all games this season. The norm for domestic games seems to be between 15-24 total shots with 6-11 on target. In the CL , these data dropped to 10-16 with 2-7 on target. Apart from games versus Sevco, STJ forced a CL like performance from us back in October in Perth. We had 11 shots with a low 4 on target. We did win 2-1 but they managed to knock us off our normal performance.
STJ are much better than their 4 losses in their last five games suggests. Danger ahead.
Rebus
Celtic PLC Aye
The Celtic Trust Aye
The SNP Aye
The Tories Aye (let me remind you that the Tory party chairman when he was Chancellor was convicted of tax evasion by HRMC. yes the man in charge of the national taxes and was only fired because he got caught.)
You couldn’t make this shite up.
Arteta is such an a—hole. At the end of today’s game, he says nothing to Dyche, doesn’t even meet his eye, and gives a cursory handshake without stopping. Zero class. That’s what differentiates him from Gardiola. He may be a great coach, may turn out to be a great manager, but winning and losing with a touch of class is not in his nature.
CFC,
The Independent Regulator is not a single person but rather a small board, three professionals with relevant skillsets such as lawyers.
One single native would be a terrible idea I agree but having multiple bodies on the IR board helps negate possible malarkey.
I would suggest one native, two from elsewhere.
A deep root and branch reform won’t happen I agree, but I envisage the nefarious types drifting out of the game when the penny drops the IR is in control and will coldly enforce their stringent regulations.
A slow evolution rather than an overnight revolution.
Getting an Independent Regulator is the next battle.
St Tams, the meeting was well publicized. IFAB wanted input into how VAR was going and the Professional Game Board were tasked with reporting back, so they set the meeting up.
The PGB announced the meeting, it’s their ball, which means they themselves shall decide to make it public or not.
Given the bad blood, bad news the refs are cheating or incompetent, they’ve clearly decided it’s wiser to stay schtum.
Our club can’t/shouldn’t say zip, but Phil has sources and got the lowdown.
I think it’s clear the meeting happened, no point inventing the affair really.
MadMitch, I disagree the IR target is nation states buying the clubs. It’s all about money as usual, with a bit of control thrown in.
The football pyramid down south has become the golden egg, the income enormous via player wage tax especially but when a club like Bury go under (pardon the pun) the entire community suffers and many livelihoods are lost outside of the football club itself. The IR will ensure the golden goose stays alive, great for the treasury, good for communities, but also a way to keep the people happy by giving them a pastime rather than sit at home and think about how inept their leaders are and how much the country has declined.
It’s about money and power, but in this occasion football wins.
On timing, we can’t be stopped so anytime is good, we speak from a position of strength, best time to speak out.
Billy Bhoy, re did the meeting take place see above response to St Tams.
As for the waiting list and the national sport itself, our club is currently proving that with a good manager, an attacking mindset, and exciting young players interest in the league remains high even if we romp it.
The sweetener that is automatic Champions League qualification helps maintain heavy interest and waiting lists.
Out with ourselves the battle for second, third and fourth should become much more exciting with Debt FC hamstrung. The Jambo’s could nay should be aiming for second especially after they lose their key players on a Bosman and shall replace with cheaper lower earners.
Win win all around? It’s possible you know.
IQ4, thanks for the compliment.
