Relish it!

It’s party time, it’s time to have some fun which the manager predicted. The Champions take the field in the penultimate game of the season, at home, on form, newly crowned,,,it’s the perfect occasion for a celebration.

I’ve one request though, can we try the Idah for Kyogo switch again, for confirmation’s sake? It’s hard to argue against attempting to buy a player that’s made such an impact and clearly loves playing for Celtic, but I just want final confirmation he’s worth the significant fee involved. I love Kyogo as a player, but if another suits Brendan’s system better, that’s life. Keep em both to drive each other on, sounds reasonable to me.

Speaking of reasonable the gambler would put money on Matt scoring on today, earlier in the week I explained why he should stay, but turning it on at the end of the season usually means player X is out to catch suitors eyes. Therefore a goal or two in this particular dead rubber becomes likelier.
James Forrest to score sounds reasonable also.

Big Joe’s last home game and the farewell speech, your tears alongside mine are already forgiven. Brendan’s pearly whites, the sight we’ve all been waiting for as that equals team success.
Those lucky enough to attend shall witness the most precious of scenes live, relish it indeed because it’s been one hell of a season. A Tifo would top the occasion off.

As would a romp. Under no pressure except selection for the upcoming Cup final on that most hallowed date. Another reason for a show today.

We must indeed relish these times as who knows what tomorrow can bring, such as Willy Collum taking charge of the matchday officials. What a joke!
I often surmise that the biggest club in the land should dominate, if correctly run of course. We aren’t correctly run, there’s some green shoots on that front, but overcame many a hurdle to finish first.
Celtic MUST build from this position of strength.
So today does not only mark the Title coming home nor simply a celebration.
Today also marks the ending of the Ange influence. Some will be retained yes, but we must now go with the Ulstermans players instead of the Greek Australian.
Today is the last day this group collectively meet at home, in Paradise, as Champions again and all of the pride that must bring.
It’s trophy day but also farewell day, how many we don’t know,,but I do know last day dead rubbers can actually be a party, if you’ve been successful.
If you’re already Champions. And Champions we most certainly are.
It’s farewell day to Ange-ball once and for all, it’s farewell to Joe day, our most popular English man since Thommo.
It’s farewell day to one hell of a topsy turvy season that brought us worries, drama, and ultimately glory.

It’s also redemption day, the special moment that Brendan obviously craved to re-live. Thank God he said yes, even if he didn’t anticipate the twists and turns ahead, the minute details he had to deal with, the wasted summer budget. He’s our new leader, and a good one at that. Another reason to celebrate today.

The futures bright, the futures green and white. Enjoy yourselves and stay safe everyone.

I wouldn’t want to swap Brendan for any other manager on the planet.

In a funny way I’m happy he went then came back, as i feel there’s more chance of him putting down proper roots this time.

I’d love to see him stay for years to come. The club is in an extremely safe pair of hands.

We all know how important the players are but if you want continuity at the club, you find a good manager and allow him to build toward a better future.

Maybe even our most saleable assets will want to see what Brendan is building here? Maybe he will be allowed to change the fact that good players only stay a couple of years then leave??

One of two might decide they have opportunities they want to explore but if the manager really is planning for the long-term, I feel that is always the most important cog in the machine.

And, If ever there was a time to push on ..If there was ever a time to flex our substantial financial advantage ..that time is NOW!

Be the very best version of Glasgow Celtic that we can possibly attain ..

If this means we have to push the boat out a bit further (Why did I get a vision of Jinky in a boat there?) then surely there’s never been a better time to do it!

With Brendan’s feet now firmly planted under the desk marked BOSS :)) the players, fans and manager forming the strongest United front, we have a lot to look forward to.

Yes the future is bright ..

It is most assuredly GREEN and WHITE! 💚🍀

Great lead article well supplemented by BAD. His faith never wavered. Off to paradise to celebrate a great title win. I’m in such a good mood I am going to refrain from chastising the Nabbla for including the board in his congratulations 😂😂

Brilliant post at 0857.

Hail Hail.

May 18, 2024 11:15 am

It will be great to watch the game in a more relaxed frame of mind.

Chances are both teams will share the same mindset so I’m not looking for the same level of performance as Wednesday.

Nevertheless the day will be a joyful one for us all.

Bom Dia from Sunny Portugal guys!
Bobby and Mahe – congratulations on an absolutely stellar set of articles over the past week. Excellent stuff!

The site is looking great too!

So, its decision time – do I sit by the pool for the next few hours or find a bar to watch the game in.

Decision made. That wasn’t hard at all !!
As Brendan might say “let’s have some fun!

Changes aplenty in the team…

Bain, Johnston, Scales, Idah, Carter-Vickers, Tomoki, Bernardo, Maeda, Forrest.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers says he is able to appreciate days like today more during his second spell as boss.
Why’s that? “Knowing what I’ve missed,” he tells BBC Scotland. “When I was here first time I loved it, but I was always looking at the next thing rather than really enjoying the real highs.
“It’s experience and a greater understanding of these moments.”
Rodgers adds that his team selection, which includes starts for Anthony Ralston and Maik Nawrocki, is with a focus on next week’s Scottish Cup final.

St Mirren score from commotion after long throw, given after 1st throw in, in Saints half should have been ours.

Top class goal at one end of the pitch.
Third class defending at other end.
Brendan has a lot of work to do.

May 18, 2024 12:58 pm

That puts Welsh out the Cup Final squad and more than likely the door 🤬

May 18, 2024 1:04 pm

Very flat performance so far.

Been complaining about long throws all season and the opening goal is no exception. The player is well over the line when he releases the ball!

FFS the lions would be 5-0 up at half time against this mob, chalmers 2 auld 1 wallace 1 and a tommy gemmel penalty another true story.LOL 😂

Looked on the line. Doesn’t matter how much of his feet are over the line, so long as some of his foot (even just the heel) is on it.
