In the last 3 games we have,,,,,
Scored 13 goals and conceded a solitary strike against.
Successfully navigated another post European tie.
Kept the Treble Dreams alive.
Blooded a new keeper, left back, and a homegrown central defender who is showing good signs of promise.
Seen our first and second choice strikers excel.
Used the entire squad with aplomb.
Witnessed the returning hero strike his iconic goalscorer pose.
Alongside the above we now clash with one football’s true global powerhouses whilst being granted the required clemency to have thousands of our own take over sections of the famous Alliance Arena.
Are you not entertained?
As far as what’s happening on the pitch, the essence of any football club, we can’t ask for better.
As for the game itself there’s plenty of takeaways. Sinisalo looks a well able deputy/replacement sheriff between the sticks, Schlupp is far from an over the hill has been, Murray might become Brendan’s legacy on the pitch, and Ralston is fine against domestic opposition so AJ can get rested when suits.
If I told you our new wide player conjured up two assists and a goal you might say we have a find, well Yang achieved exactly that and it’s understandable that a player getting minutes shows signs of improving. That kind of contribution usually sees a player stay in the first team, he needs to keep doing that to force the question.
Especially now our previous 1st choice has now been shunted to backup striker opening up a potential slot. Daizen bagged a fine hat trick, looked every inch a Celtic No.9, and reminded the world he’s more than just an athlete. He’s not just our top scorer now, he’s and asset to Celtic in every department from pressing to increasing his value as a player. He’s replaced Kuhn as the most improved player.
We certainly bring form into the big midweek clash, these players traditionally finish strong and that looks like repeating itself. Our Treble Dreams are boosted by the 2nd favourites being knocked out yesterday, pity as I wanted their scalp, but Hibs and Aberdeen will be no walkover. The biggest concern is being left demoralized post Bayern, but Brendan is excellent at picking up the group when needed. We might not progress in Europe but we are progressing on the park which bodes well for the summer window (less apparent holes to plug) and the early season qualifiers. We are certainly progressing in the Scottish Cup after being Five Alive!
The entertainment rolls on, the Celtic story continues to be the best page-turner in existence.
Savour these good times.

i can guarantee that Man City have had 50 of Europe’s top lawyers and accountants working for 2 years to find holes/ ways around this. And I am equally confident that they have found a few

This being EPL charges of breach of EPL rules as well as breaches of UEFA FFP rules from 2009 to 2018
Different issues. Might even comply with FSR 70% salary control rules. Too soon to know.

Is that the same cognitive dissonance
you had saying Celts were playing ‘with a square ball after fifteen minutes’ on Saturday ?
Support yet not supporting ?

😀 don’t be silly. There is no such thing as cognitive dissonance in the singular during a game.
It fills the blogosphere.
I saw no contradiction in using geometry to help players see what I was watching after a bright start.
However do you accept the validity of the example I gave that one perception questions the other.
Aw Naw.
The new 70% limit procedures are being implemented around now by SFA as happens every year when the licensing process starts.
Ah but the SFA won’t follow instructions is the cry.
Given UEFA know that danger from Res12 evidence presented to them by shareholders lawyers in 2016

they have added another monitoring layer to keep track of changes since original decision.
If the answer is that won’t happen either then it’s pointless pointing out the rules to a mind open to persuasion that things have changed and lessons have been learned.
If you delve further into them UEFA have made it clear that the information provided on squad spend must equal that shown in the audited accounts a club Board has signed up to.
This and added monitoring suggests to me UEFA are very serious about making sustainability happen.
Why?
Because it protects football from its self harming self and all of the game benefits.
Even UEFA can learn from their own experience.

I understand your scepticism based on the kid glove treatment of Rangers but the understanding of impact of financial chicanery on the field of play has grown ever since Neil Warnock complained about Leicester.
Did you know that was the basis of the points deduction rule eventually adopted UK wide. That in principle the chicanery enabled a club to accumulate more points than opponents acting prudently hence 10 point deduction which has risen since to become fully codified in FSR.
Pity LNS was not told that eh?
