Spoils shared
It didn’t go according to the script yesterday at Celtic Park, the only winners on the day weren’t in the Hoops, both Tony Bloom and Michael Gray will wake up happier than Brendan this morning. The former looks to have the Midas touch and at least second is not a drunken boast rather a stunningly accurate prediction. The latter enhanced his reputation with a tactical masterclass, he was rewarded for his hard work on the training ground.
The teamsheet was welcomed, there were changes but importantly a different midfield, hinting the gaffer sees what we all see in the middle of the park. It was quiet at kickoff, we knew it would be, but I said to myself the roar/bursting into song around the 13th minute will kickstart the crowd into life. I then became engrossed in the game and only on the 16th minute realized no such roar was coming, pity.
It was engrossing as we opened more brightly than usual, there was better purpose, energy, and options with the new guys in the middle plus Kelechi dropping back to get involved. The replacement left back was also helping in that regard also producing his best display yet in the Hoops. In the first half we looked a different beast, a dangerous one,,,smacking the post a couple of times, forcing saves, goal disallowed, better corners than usual etc. It looked and felt like the breakthrough goal was coming, it didn’t arrive and the halftime whistle blew. It still hadn’t arrived when the full time whistle blew, a point apiece and demoted to second place in the league by two points and behind two on goal difference.
I don’t think it was as bad a game as is being made out. We saw flashes of great football when hitting the bar, and for me the tactics made it interesting. Hibs came with a game plan and executed it perfectly, the shape was excellent, the visitors had been perfectly drilled in their roles,,I was very impressed. A back five keeping their line well, two screening midfielders protecting them, and a big young enough to get down ‘keeper,, thats very tough to breakdown and so it proved.
The manager tried 3 different strikers, 4 different wide men, 5 different midfielders,,,the 300 Spartans would have been proud of Hibs resolute defense. Boyle and Bowie helped by being the outball, they are two players Celtic could actually do with right now, and the former had both our centrebacks yellow carded in the space of 5 minutes after besting each forcing the ‘taking one for the team’ foul from both.
My biggest positive would be Siracchi, I would say he’s a find but we were offered him which looks bizarre as he’s clearly a player and great around the camp according to reports. He has a lovely pass, a thunderous shot, good heart, football intelligence,,,I want to keep him.
Kelechi is another positive, he offers something different than Daizen and Kyogo, he looks very willing and determined to make an impact. The same could be said for Luke, he was the best of all 5 midfielders who took to the field.
The negatives,,,
This day last week I was pitching about Nygren’s terrible corners. Two minutes into stoppage time Celtic earned a corner, over he trots, the two big guys in defense come up to improve the odds of a late winner. It was a classic case of “you have one job”, get it into the zone those guys can attack. It didn’t beat the first man.
I’m sorry but he’s not worthy of being our set-piece taker.
Yang offers more than Balakwisha based on his outings so far, I’ve seen nothing to suggest he’s worthy of being a Celtic player.
There’s no place in the team for Daizen anymore. Tonetki is better wide left, Kels is better through the middle, he’s not the answer on the right,,,I just don’t see where he fits these days.
We’ve been in plenty 2 horse races before, but this seasons opponent isn’t the usual suspect.
Great, bring it on, we need pushed.

SENTINEL CELTS PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2025-26
RESULTS FROM GAME #11 CELTIC 0 HIBS 0
Good evening, friends.
The usual pre-match pitch announcer (a neighbour of mine!) was brave enough to ignore the irony and announce the teams with his usual “Let’s make some noise for the Bhoys…” and we learned that Brendan had made 5 changes from midweek, with the midfield in particular being freshened up. And the lack of singing didn’t seem to affect those on the pitch as Celtic started very positively, quickly camping themselves in the final third of the park and creating a series of close things.
The first one that got away was in the 20th minute. Following a rare Hibs attack, Schmeichel tried to quickly send Tounekti away on the left. The kick was intercepted but McCowan picked up the loose ball and sent an excellent diagonal pass on to Maeda on the right. Daizens great ball across the 6 yard box was met flush by Iheanachi but the effort crashed off the bar.
Not long after that, good progress down the right saw Ralston overhit his cross into the box. The impressive Saracchi chased the ball and managed to swivel and hit a great strike but again the bar came to Hibs’ rescue.
But it was Hibs who arguably had the best chance to score. A free kick into the box in 1st half injury time fell to Ohora who somehow scooped the ball up and onto the roof of the net from 2 yards out.
The second half, like the first was almost all one way traffic with loads of dangerous balls into and across the crowded box. But none of these materialised into anything more than a close thing. 5 substitutes failed to really ignite anything although Nygren and to a lesser extent Bernardo did look a bit more direct and urgent.
So, 2 points dropped and that’s now 4 games out of 11 that we have failed to score in.
As for the performance of the man in the middle, I could have typed half a dozen paragraphs on him alone. Terrible officiating and abysmal time keeping. But I don’t want that to detract from Celtic’s own failings both in the directors box and in the dug out.
Finally, does anyone have any idea what has happened to Shin Yamada? He was thrown on during the second half at Ibrox and most folk thought he did better than expected, good at holding the ball up and tenacious in keeping their defence busy. He hasn’t even made the bench since then!
We have now played 11 games, winning 6 and drawing 5. We have scored 17 goals and conceded 3.
The voting numbers remain lower than I always hope for but a huge thank you to the 77 who voted this time around. Including the one who included Shane Lowry in his top 3!

Our next game is on Thursday when we play our 2nd tie in the Europa League. It’s a home game against Sporting Braga who won their opening tie 1-0 against Feyenoord. Kick off is 5.45pm.
Hail Hail!
Good morning everyone,
Nothing much to add, except that, in reference to last night’s discussion, I played a proper grown up football game in the Mongolian national stadium.
That’s the first march summary I have seen on a Celtic page with no mention of MOTM George Robertson
Dharma Bam, so the commentary is about you?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v4xZUr0BEfE
Good morning all from Alfredos.
Good morning, friends.
A few further randoms thiughts to kick off a discussion?
Saracchi has impressed every time he’s on the park but why did we take him without an option to buy? I think that currently he’s a better option than Tierney.
Ralston played better than expected but I’d prefer that we stick with Donovan for the 2 games before the break.
Sinisalo is a better overall keeper than the ageing Schmeichel.
Where on earth are McCardle and Yamada. I know they’re not in Europe squad but both should be at least on the bench for domestic games.
Tounekti gets bums off seats, great ball control and can go either way. But does he overdo it a bit? Ultimately, a lot of his good work fails to result in a real chance being created – just beat the defender once and then deliver!
As for the club overall and theb% age split on where the blame lies, board or manager, I’d say 75% board and 25% manager. Brendan is quite right to feel he has not been supported but he is far from blameless, particularly in our 4 goalless games….
Glad I got all of that off my chest 😁💚
Hibs came with a game plan and executed it perfectly, the shape was excellent, the visitors had been perfectly drilled in their roles,,I was very impressed. A back five keeping their line well, two screening midfielders protecting them, and a big young enough to get down ‘keeper,, thats very tough to breakdown and so it proved.
So why did they cheat at every opportunity?
Nothing in the rules to say they cannot set up and ‘play’ like that but there are around their
cheating.
14 fouls for, 1 against.
The role of the referee ?
Not only allowed but rewarded
An affront to football.
No wonder they and others are pumped in the Conference every season.
I was somewhat over critical on Saturday evening, more frustrated than angry. It wasn’t a bad performance at all, but it’s missing something, a lot in fact and we’ll need to limp on till January. Too many draws are killing us. Almost like a Tommy Burns season, minus the entertainment.
I don’t expect much as a result, but if we’re still in Europe and in a Title race come then, all will be fine.
Huns in the semi is a major concern.
We are being cheated EVERY SINGLE TIME we take the field! Both opposition and refs combining every week to stifle our play!
But ..
Why in fucks name are we still just meekly accepting it? For the same reason we call them Rangers, and happily went along with the big lie!!
Why do we constantly get the same 2 refs?!
You saw yesterday why Robertson has taken charge of most of our games, including his shocking display at Hampden!
The game is rigged, and we are a big part of the problem.
Sickening!!
BAD
Celtic by numbers done a good piece yesterday on the foul count and Celtic are certainly an outlier in that respect, due to having an average 75%possesion rate – meaning we aggressively press when we lose the ball and commit more tackles in doing so. Liverpool had the same issue under Klopp.
The fundamental question is that not every tackle is a foul, but in Scotland our opponents fall down regardless and hold their heads in every lost headed challenge.
San Luis ,
So we have the ball nearly 80% of the time, and yet Hibs only commit 1 , ONE!, foul all day?! Absolutely no fucking chance that’s not being done on purpose
And any Celtic fan (Sites) trying to justify it are in the same category as the the rats who are constantly trying to mislead the support!
I don’t blame the coaches or players struggling to win under these circumstances.
The real question should be, why the fucking silence from all involved? I think we can hazard an educated guess.
Time for another supposed chat behind closed doors again?!
Yeah, that’ll sort this out!
H3
Unless there is earth-shattering news from the CP bunker today, I think the ref will be a major part of tomorrow’s article. Still beelin’ at his heroics. And at Hibs’ methods.
Naps table updated.

Jobo, I agree with most of what you said.
A loan with no option to buy only makes sense if you’ve really mucked up a transfer window and are desperate. Oh wait 🤔🤔
In his first 2 games Tounekti beat his man on the outside with ease and put crosses in. In his last 2 games he has cut back or inside more often. Guessing that’s down to Brendan. When he cuts inside on the edge of the box I’d like to see him shoot much more often.
BAD
The Celtic by numbers piece was not in any way backing the refs up, indeed they questioned why is every tackle deemed a foul. Simulation obviously.
I think, that’s where Celtic players let themselves down, is by being far too honest for our own good. I’d play the ‘sore head’ game every time we lose a 50/50 header or high footed challenge.
San Luis…as I alluded to in a comment to ATOB yesterday this current trend of simulation is the curse of the modern game worldwide. Players go down, and on many occasions hold their head as they know the referee has to stop the game for a head injury. I think these situations should require a quiet VAR review, not necessarily stopping play but if a review shows zero contact the player should be carded. Something needs to be done to try to eliminate this crass behaviour. In the case of Saturday, Robertson was more than happy to permit every play act that Hibs tried. It’s a source of sheer frustration for me!
McCaff
100% agreed. It’s the final tool in the Hun FA armour against Celtic, now that VAR is equalling out the penalties and offside goals etc…no where to go after this.
San Luis,
The more the Huns struggle, the more brazen the cheating against us becomes, and the more we look like we are encouraging it!
What happened to us never sitting at the back of the bus again??
It’s simply lying to say we are talking behind closed doors. We are quite obviously up to our necks in this.
Im at the stage where I can’t stomach football in this country anymore.
BAD…losing interest and apathy is the desired response from these feckers. Stand proud and support the team is my approach. We are driving the bus now….and that’s what kills ’em!
“There’s no place in the team for Daizen anymore.”
Firstly I don’t agree but secondly….
Put yourself in his shoes. Promised a move. Agreed terms. Cleared out his locker. Presumably had made temporary arrangements for his young family only to be told last minute that he can’t go cos we have got no cover for his positions.
So he turns up yesterday to be told actually you won’t be starting left wing or centre cos we have cover for those positions but can you now play out of position on the right where we have none.
I don’t see any signs he isn’t giving his all but no one isn’t honna tell me his head hasn’t been seriously messed with. Mentally he will be miles off it
McCaff,
I know.
This is why winning is all that matters to me. I have to separate the team from the club, and those who are running it! Them and their online lackeys make me sick!
Never Celtic supporters in a million years!!
Fuck them all
Saint Stivs…Daizen’s figures might be acceptable but it’s clear to anyone he’s not as effective as we’ve come to expect from him. Of course, if he’s been messed about, and it seems he has, then it’s another failure by the Board to support the manager. We’ve relied heavily on Daizen since January and after messing him about we still expect him to deliver. Another misfire by the Board costing the team!
Greg Taylor played the whole 90 minutes yesterday for PAOK during their 3-3 draw away at Asteras Tripolis. Giamoukakis came on for the last 20 minutes.
7th place Braga lost 0-1 at hime to 11th place Nacional.
3rd place Midtjylland play 5th place Randers tonight at 6:00 GMT.
This is from Chicago, but it is being repeated all over the U.S.

Pretty sure it was Brentford, but no fee that I recall.

=============
During the year we have also made progress with our digital strategy, as we look to enhance engagement and communication with our supporters. The implementation of our digital strategy will lead to improved touch points with our supporters, including the launch of a new Club App, digital ticketing options and the re-development of Celtic TV. We understand that our global supporter base wishes to engage with Celtic in this way and we aim to provide them with the opportunity to benefit from a more seamless experience.
On Saturdays game i thought the performance was actually very good , created loads of chances ,just never got the break around the goal. I’ve seen us play a lot worse and won games.
Didn’t think our subs improved us any and actually made us worse.
Other than Iheanacho, we don’t have another centre forward. Hopefully the goals come on Thursday
In the old ship bank.

————————-
Hi McCaff:
I’ve been watching it for months here, but it has really ramped up recently. The ICE is hiring thousands of bigots of every ilk. The orange demented oaf only wants 2 Government departments, The War Department and Immigration.
Home improvement stores like Home Depots typically have car parks thronged with Hispanics desperate for work to feed their families. They have fled poverty, persecution or gangs in their own countries. The bad apples do not look for work. Many of these men are skilled painters, plasterers, brickies, tilers, roofers, landscapers and other trades, and they have no health insurance. Many are deeply religious. I have been here for decades, and over the years I have hired many of these men to help me with home improvement projects. I have yet to meet one who is not honest, ethical, a hard worker, or a pleasure to deal with.
They are now terrified of ending up in Togo, South Sudan, the Everglades Alcatraz, or in the infamous Salvadoran prison, with no notification to their families. They have either disappeared from public view, or they huddle in small clusters with lookouts. But the lookouts have no chance. The ICE vehicles are unmarked and the masked, armed personnel, many with no departmental identification, just explode out of them with no warning. Motorists are being stopped, merely because they are brown skinned, which is blatant racial profiling, not that the Dear Leader gives a fcuk.

John Kenny is a penalty box striker. The problem is that we never play him and he’s as rusty as a bag of old nails.

Next stop
Bar 67.
Will I find him there?
BOBBY MURDOCHS CURLED UP WINKLEPICKERS
Hi Bobby:
Just finished a lengthy reply to MCCAFF. I got the red “Awaiting for Approval”, then the post simply disappeared, which is ironic, because ‘Disappearance’ was the subject of the post.
Is it retrievable?
Thanks,
Iniquitous IV😊
San Luis
I’m afraid I disagree.
Had 2 great chances on Saturday and blew them.
He’s shown nothing to convince me that he’ll make it at Celtic.
Was shocked was given a 4 year contract
Chalmersbhoy,
Bar 67 doesn’t open on a Monday.
Only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday unless Celtic are playing.

ASWGL how are you my st augustines buddy👍 not see you on for a while❤
ASWGL
Glad to know you are on the ball-as usual. Thanks.
Hi packy I’m good thanks, I’ve been as busy as a one legged man at an arse kicking contest. Between my own work, and building a log cabin for my daughter, then I was away for a few days to Bristol (fishing of course). I somehow managed to get into two finals of fishing competitions (that I hate), as I much prefer pleasure days. Regardless I was rank in one final last week, and have another this week.
I’ve only really managed to quickly login to the site a couple of times to run the updates.
Hope you Joan and the pack are faring well
Big Packy: The loss of not one but two children in such a sad way must have been devastating. Well done to you both for obviously looking out for each other then and still doing the same now.
Had to scroll back to see what Cosy Corner Bhoy was talking about, well said CCB and I echo your thoughts 👏
