Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
Morning, all.
We all saw what happened on Sunday, we watched it just as we watched the Champions League qualifier in Austria. And the only difference between those games and every other game this season, no matter how poor the opposition, is that our opponents took some of the many chances they created.
Sunday was a new low though, as we didn’t look like scoring. Various theories have been suggested why this happened, and many remedies have been proposed. The most obvious problems in fixing a problem are firstly to recognise that the problem exists, and then to diagnose the causes. If I’m honest, the problem was identified on here weeks (or even months) ago, and the management team did sod all about it. Now, with even the MSM spouting forth about the issues, it surely cannot be ignored any longer.
However, MON has long believed that his preferred starting XI and formation is the best available to him. He very rarely even tinkers at the edges, never mind ripping up the gameplan and starting all over again. Subject to injuries and suspensions, what we have seen is what we will get. I honestly do not think we will see different personnel or tactics tonight from what we have been watching all season.
That should make the Ferencvaros coach’s job that bit easier for him. If he can virtually guarantee how we will line up, and how those players will be utilised, it certainly makes the job a lot easier for him. After that, it’s down to how the respective teams perform on the night. One thing in our favour at least is that we won’t have to deal with the Scottish refereeing fraternity, though they return in force on Sunday. MIB Beaton and VAR Walsh means they aren’t taking any chances.
I hope I’m wrong about our manager’s intransigence, and that he finally does something about the gaping hole where our midfield should be. Otherwise, tonight’s match is going to feel like a lot more than ninety minutes. Ideally, we put on a performance tonight that makes us forget all about the weekend just gone, and sets us up for an entirely more pleasant experience in front of 60,000 UFBs.
I know which of the two scenarios I prefer.

Adrenalin rush fading a bit. Back to overthinking.
KT also wellies cross.
Good run JF but should have pulled cross back instead of shooting
CCV clumsy.
Jamesie just lacking a final ball, but looks well up for it.
18 minutes gone. No saves by either keeper. Crowd quiet
Scales own goal
That’s how to score!
Scales og.
My gran would score against us.
Been dead 30yrs too!
Good chance headed over by Ferencevaros
Scales has mistake in him every game.
Commentator says McGregor out of position as move builds.
Same as it ever was!
Where is Sorressen supposed to be playing?
Anyone know
We have no idea how to do the essential part of football – score goals. We have had 20 minutes of pressure and not one shot in target. Ferencvaros one chance – goal.
We have a defence like a torn sieve.
Arzani almost 2-0. Watching Baur trying to run back was pitiful.
No one on the D for Hungarian corner. Again.
Another painful watch, no midfield again
Suicide pass by McGregor. Sorensen flat footed.
McGregor hospital pass to Sørensen almost cost us.
Slow build up pointed out by commentators.
When our captain constantly points backwards and sideways why are we surprised.?
Ferencvaros win ball by tackling. What a concept!
Calmac terrible ball to Sorensen almost leads to 2nd.
Scales is murder again tonight.
Really getting sick of watching Callum passing responsibility and putting others under pressure.
How clumsy did Scales look trying to clear that with his left? About as athletic as a donkey,
This Hamilton guy would scunner you , he is a right bluenose no commentary just negative Celtic stats
Almost 2-0.
Jimtim,
Cant see the game but it sounds like he’d be struggling to say anything positive going by the comments 😆
Been saying it since the moment I saw him, Liam Scales should never be playing for us.
C’mon Celtic, get the ball down and be brave!
JimTim
I don’t have Hamilton, but I’m also hearing lots of negative Euro stats for Celtic.
But let’s face it – they are piling up. 😱

INIQUITOUS IV
We are so disjointed.
No team shape or leadership
Hassan with zero impact. Looks as if he can’t be arsed.
BAD
We all see Camac avoiding responsibility but coaches either approve or can’t see!
2 of our opponents, Torreense and USG both winning away. Marseille 1-1 at Besiktas.
Watching McGregor trying to make his mind up what to do with a free kick is absolutely soul destroying. No one knows where to go or what to do.
Nygren is only midfielder that creates forward momentum
Our clueless coaches have zero game recognition ll
Arzani getting it too easy
This is utter pish.
We pass it out of play.
Their goalie could have brought a book to read.
Sorensen looks terrified
Stop fucking giving it to Scales! He doesn’t know what to do with it!
Celtic Park a cross between a library and a morgue.
We are totally disjointed at moment. Down 1-0 and so many poor passes and slow play its soul destroying.
JF had opponent in early stages but now everything going down right.
Do our coaches ever watch or are they watching a Netflix show on monitor?
Ox will stroll into this midfield on Sunday. Sorensen is invisible, which for a new signing is worrying. Baur, headless chicken.
So, Cal, Ox Nygren it will be.
If I can see this McInnes will too.
Palace 3-0
Juventus 3-0
Bournemouth 2-0 at Real Sociedad.
Yessss, Baur. 1-1
Yes 1-1 Baur,
Yes!!!!!
Fan,
If I know that team needs a no5 & no6, and I knew it before a ball was kicked this season, why were they not made a priority in the summer.
The people running us are just bent mate, they don’t have our best interests at heart.
HH 🍀
Did our washing woman shrink all the jerseys???
So why don’t we try that more often?
