With crisis comes opportunity

Its been the best International break of recent times. Plenty to discuss and none of them laughing matters.

Last Sunday morning Derek would have been the waking up laughing and once he heard Rangers were in the news he would have believed praise was coming. His feel-good factor got blasted out of the blue (pardon the pun) and now all the current players are properly aware of the past I hope. It was hard to turn anywhere but their name was getting dragged into a comparison chart with England’s team in blue.

The Parkhead bigwigs may or may not have been laughing at them being unexpectedly dragged back into the uncomfortable past, but the smiles would have ceased upon hearing Brendan is visiting the supporters for an evening of chit-chat. Ahem.

The attempt to shift the narrative was as transparent as it was pathetic. They dragged a young ex-players race into the mix, then our well known links to the City Group was deemed sufficient evidence of guilt by association.

Nothing will happen up north, we all know that, but it’s delicious knowing some must squirm when quotes like “tainted titles” and “we all know” are given much airwave time.
The debate between them and the “we lived the moment” crowd is very interesting and revealing.
Its also frustrating because each camp is correct in their view, if anything it could be said those that celebrated the winning got more out of the tainted years as yes they own those memories.

But football is not just about the memory. If we whallop Motherwell 5-0 you would probably say that was money well spent and a good memory. Football should never been squeezed soo much that the memories of a single game or games surpass the highs and lows of the entire journey from start to finish. Aguero was a fleeting moment, the Tommy title was the trip of a lifetime.

It’s good to see the sport truly and properly kickstarted into action over club ownership and rule changes will be proposed by the supposed 15 who would vote City out per the rags. Introspection and restructure is called for at club level, better guardrails and more grassroots help from Gov.

It didn’t happen in Scotland, but there’s a world in which this City malarkey really helps tie the rest together and form closer bonds.
It’s too early to say if this is the best thing that ever happened to them, but there’s a chance. With crisis comes opportunity.

The Parkhead big-wigs laughing at the Huns getting dragged back in due to what’s happening with Man Cheaty??

Our custodians couldn’t have made it clearer where they stood on the hun cheating, they literally couldn’t give a f#@£.

Desmond (So, basically our club) acted as if the only thing that mattered was the inconvenience of having to face it at all, so he made the worst decision any Celtic custodian has ever made, he went out his way to praise the cheats!

I’ve heard a lot of condemnation of City, but I can’t say I’ve heard a word of praise for them. What Desmond done was the equivalent of a man coming home to find his wife in bed with the postman, and deciding the best thing to do would be to make them both breakfast in bed.

When the tennis balls were bouncing around his feet you could literally see the steam coming out his ears, and it didn’t take long before he had the club appearing to come to his defence.

That, along with his online lackeys coming straight out the traps with a lot of hysterical nonsense about the effects the tennis ball chuckers had on folk, made the day one we will remember.

An absolute act of terror it was 😁

Human nature being what it is, I’m a fan of absolutely anything that makes king rat consider his position as self-appointed controller of all things Celtic. My big hope is that the Celtic support NEVER let Desmond forget his stomach turning decision to come to the aid of a bunch of cheats.

please just GTF!
