On again/Off again
It might well be said that the relationship between the executive and the supporters is akin to that of an unhappy couple always bickering at each other with the occasional outburst of fury breaking into the public domain.
So it happened on Saturday when we were once again graced with a Dermot rant broadcast through the clubs media only not bearing his name.
The sanctity of the golf course was not only breached but his presence in those circles brought disruption which never elevates ones standing in quality circles. His rant may as well have been four words,,you crossed the line,,,and it is clear now that his personal line has been crossed.
The Collective, fresh off being welcomed back into the fold of approved to talk with, got the blame and the door publicly slammed in their face and divorce papers served judging by Dermots tenor. I’ve genuinely no idea if that blame is correct or misplaced but blame was cast. Left with nothing to lose and everything to gain the Collective have since announced they will be doubling down on their efforts.
Its an impasse that makes the Hormuz Strait look like small-talk and backing the beleaguered team and manager to the maximum appears increasingly unlikely in the midst of fresh hostilities on Kerrydale Street. Sidelining a huge swalve of the support is never a wise course of action and if the Tims grow exasperated on the park plus off it then there will be a tidal wave of determination to drive proper change through, whatever that looks like.
The problem with issuing battle cry’s is that one day battle arrives.
The problem with making the place toxic is that the buck stops with him and the board.
The new manager is already on a loser what with the numerous qualifiers, late budget arrivals, and a world famous club at war with itself.
But its all our fault.

This isn’t going to end well and will give the huns the chance to get ahead. Worrying times.
16 ROADS will be running a winner takes all tournament which will be the Saturday of the Paddy Power meeting at Cheltenham AND Trials Day at Leopardstown. Combined scores over both days will be the winner.
Further details will be announced shortly.
I think the protest against Dermot may well be counterproductive. It is now likely he will dig his heels in and become more resilient to change. Last season I wrote on this site that the way the club was being run looked wilful to me. It went beyond incompetence and the danger is that it could very well go that way again.
Last season Martin performed miracles but it’s asking a lot to expect a similar outcome this time. Sevco already have the league cup in the bag and could very well be on their way to the treble. We ended up in a 3 way battle last season and so the loyalties of the officials were divided. This season Hearts will not be challenging and so all the efforts will be totally focused on helping sevco. No doubt sevco will also be helped in their quest for glory by the men in our boardroom. If only we had some Celtic directors who put the interests of our club first and foremost.
The only way to force change is through a season ticket boycott but this won’t happen in the foreseeable future. Unless sevco go on a long successful run, winning consecutive league titles.
Maybe then we will see change. The future doesn’t look rosy.
The Parkhead big-wigs laughing at the Huns getting dragged back in due to what’s happening with Man Cheaty??
Our custodians couldn’t have made it clearer where they stood on the hun cheating, they literally couldn’t give a f#@£.
Desmond (So, basically our club) acted as if the only thing that mattered was the inconvenience of having to face it at all, so he made the worst decision any Celtic custodian has ever made, he went out his way to praise the cheats, thereby losing the only opportunity we may ever get to do something about cleaning up our own game in Scotland.
I’ve heard a lot of condemnation of City, but I can’t say I’ve heard a word of praise for them. What Desmond done was the equivalent of a man coming home to find his wife in bed with the postman, and deciding the best thing to do would be to make them both breakfast in bed.
When the tennis balls were bouncing around his feet you could literally see the steam coming out his ears, and it didn’t take long before he had the club appearing to come to his defence.
That, along with his online lackeys coming straight out the traps with a lot of hysterical nonsense about the effects the tennis ball chuckers had on folk, made the day one we will remember.
An absolute act of terror it was
Human nature being what it is, I’m a fan of absolutely anything that makes king rat consider his position as self-appointed controller of all things Celtic. My big hope is that the Celtic support NEVER let Desmond forget his stomach turning decision to come to the aid of a bunch of cheats.
please just GTF!
Westcraigs,
I’m still amazed that anyone could believe our custodians are only guilty of incompetence. These guys are all self-made types, some who’ve reached multi-billionaire status.
Do you know any incompetent rich folk?

We’re in White/Kelly territory here , whereby It’s obvious to everyone that our Board are no longer fit for purpose ( not that they ever were this past decade) The problem is clearly down to a complete lack of ambition, ability and talent.
I’m even including DD in this .His days of being a swashbuckling go getter are far behind him. He’s an old man , content to maintain his legacy for his family.
Celtic is just one more heirloom to hand down.
I’m glad battle lines have been drawn , because this version of Celtic cannot be allowed to continue.
Morning all,
Wee Reminder.
Shipbank Friday this week and Iniquitous will be on the bell, Or ball, ( preferably tennis with his face on it )😜😜😜😜😜
No seriously, come along and discuss all things Celtic with s few jokes and laughs thrown in.
You’ll definitely enjoy it. 💚

Leggy, I was intending to come along on Friday, as I would love to meet INIQUITOUS IV .
But I believe a certain individual is going, so I’m going to give it a miss.
Hope you have a great day
The construction of the biggest football stadium in the world is currently taking place, it’s part of something called the Olympics sports centre project and is thought to be going to cost somewhere I the region of 35-50 billion pounds ..I think.
It’s definitely going to cost a lot anyway
Although they say the final capacity will be in the region of 135-140k seats, that’s not why the story caught my attention, it was where the stadium was being built that got my attention.
The massive arena is being built in Vietnam, which I think is a good indicator of how popular the game continues to be worldwide. If you asked 100 people where the biggest football stadium in the world in situated, I wonder how many of them would guess Vietnam.
It’s a funny old word.
ST TAMS
There are usually enough people around that ignoring one of them won’t be a problem. In fact, my experience has usually seen me not spending enough time with those I really wanted to!
Plus, I never let anyone stop me from doing what I want to do or ruining my day for me. But, your call.
BAD
No, I certainly wouldn’t have guessed Vietnam. Getting rich, I suppose, due to its proximity to China and cheaper labour. I wonder if they occasionally tell China to get back in their box after the hiding they gave them in 1979?
Never make a statement when you’re angry,
They could have should have ignored it, and been glad last year Brendan Rodgers took “ all the toxicity” away when his exit door finally appeared. Sadly, most adults knew the real problem was never just the manager, not even when it was Wilfried Nancy.
The ownership remains “not for sale”, the family grip tightens, and every annual statement somehow manages to make things worse. Fergus McCann his Co-Op loan and ordinary supporters who queued in the Jock Stein lounge helped rebuild Celtic. Fast forward a lifetime and those same supporters appear to have less say than ever.
Last year Dermot Desmond was advised to look at his executive team. He clearly found little wrong. The PLC “great guys” remain firmly in place, imagine football letting you down, at a football club? The usual recruitment chaos, lack of strategy and the mysterious phenomenon known as “inherent inefficiency” — corporate Celtic for we haven’t a clue.🤷
Millions sit in the bank while supporters are still waiting for basic investment around the stadium. Perhaps the Northstand upper toilets are part of the long-term strategic plan?
And then there’s Martin O’Neill, doing an old friend a favour and walking straight into the fire, where he temporarily emerged with a title. Four defeats in eight is a grim start, and Lisbon hardly looks like a retreat for recovery.
Win, and it all blows over?
Till next time and the same questions return ownership, accountability, recruitment, investment and who exactly is running the show.
Groundhog Day in Paradise. and the lack of any obvious long-term plan keeps coming back.
🇮🇪 🇮🇪 🇮🇪 🇮🇪 🇮🇪
Bobby,
Hope they never need to cover the top tier because not enough people are filling it, that’s a very large tarpaulin they are going to need! 😳
Desmond either has a shocking lack of self-awareness (How many different ways does he need shown how little he’s loved by us?), or he’s a vindictive ratbag who’s determined to still be there to watch us have to witness the Huns taking over in top spot regularly.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a combination of both things. It could be that he has spent so long having everything always turn out his way, plus a lifetime of never hearing the word NO. Maybe he just can’t fathom anyone having the temerity to question him.
Impossible to tell how everyone feels, but right at this minute he seems about as welcome snow in June.
Wtf is the plan here? and why would be not either change how he’s viewed by making peace with the fans, or doing the honourable thing and making his shares available to men and women who want to take us forward.
Before you do irreparable damage please find somewhere else to be!

With pretty much full uptake of season tickets for the previous 27 or so years Dermot Desmond could quite reasonably assume that enough people are quite satisfied with him and his stewardship of the club.
In fact he could quite easily conclude that the the shenanigans on the golf course at the weekend were the actions of some wee bams who don’t reflect the views of the wider support.
Not my view you understand, anything that ruins DD’s mood is fine by me.
But you can see why he could think that, given that almost 60k people hand over their cash every single year.
Any communication on who is our manager going into our next league game ?

Hi Bobby:
Good call, but with Motherwell, Benfica, Hearts, Celta Vigo up next, you, me, Martin O’Neil and tens of thousands face having days ruined without anyone able to stop those responsible.
Unless there is an unexpected transformation tout de suit, MON may end up with a record worse than the Woeful Wilfried, and with zero accountability from the aforementioned responsible party. MON performed a miracle last season. By definition, that is hard to repeat.

Star,
Folk don’t buy season tickets based how they feel about Desmond.
However, It is probably correct to assume some have chosen NOT to buy ST ‘s based on how they feel about Desmond’s running of the club, or how he acted around the death of the huns.
It puzzles me why he doesn’t just feck off.
INIQUITOUS IV
What MON achieved last season adds to his legend. Against the odds* and despite the board.
This season is shaping up to be a disaster. I won’t hold MON responsible for it, his legacy is secure. We know where the blame lies.
*When we got gubbed off Dundee Utd, my Dad showed defiance by telling me to put a score on us to win the league. 9/4, I think. Anyway, with three games to go, the cash out was £28.90. I took it!
I then put £30 on us to beat the huns, then Motherwell and Hearts.
£172.50 and thank you very much!

>Hello from Belfast
Thanks for your considered reply to my nosey questions and ye know, this is a debating forum so I’m going to be annoying and keep the debate flowing if you don’t mind. If you do then like a drunk wasp just ignore me and I’ll go away.
>Fire away Rook
First I’d like to point out the similarities in our position ie we both care so much about Celtic that we have very strong but contrasting feelings about it.That obviously applies to each and every single contributor on this site without exception. Correct me if I’m wrong but you to are unhappy with the current board and you want change to, so how far does that go ?
> Rook.We do care in v.v different ways bout Celtic.Yourself & others do not support Celtic,i do,to me being remote from Celtic Park is bad enough but to choose to consumerize Celtic, characterise it as something to shed then take up again in better times is a no-no from me.(ps Rook thats in our chat context no way am I sayin I am more or less a Celtic man than you)
>Am i unhappy with our current board?
Its to small imo,I would like to see a bigger board,a wider range of high quality professionals with defines roles, tasks and forecast outcomes, that would be open transparent and online for Celtic fans to monitor and discuss onto blogs like this where ideas and advice are added.having a rolling set of accounts online, live in this day and age is a possibility.Have them rolling monthly, yearly, over 2 years, over 3 years.we as fans would be able to see our club inside and toggle over that rolling 1 3 and 5 yr periods.i have had board experience, but taking a Celtic job, maybe as an ambition once,I would not do.reason- life with no grief is better.
I gave up on expecting DD to listen to the peasants and change accordingly but perhaps that’s a gradual process for him and takes years, as you can see I still have a modicum of hope that he can change for the better, more fool me perhaps. It currently looks like the billionaire will do as he pleases with his toy and to hell with anyone who gets in his way. So do you want his power diminished at CP ?
>Again Rook we differ big time.BAD posted we are Celtic, you,me and him,(all Celts).I firmly believe that to be true.thats why dd has no say, never has had for even a millisecond had any influence on why I support Celtic,v much in the same way my forefathers where not defined by the great John Glass or Bob kelly.Hence my relationship with Celtic is 1 straight line through ups and downs, peaks and troughs I am there following my team, the notion of not goin is just not there
Yes 94 was completely different circumstances with completely different characters but I wanted to see if you had any rebellious credentials at that momentous time for Celtic and it seems you did, big time, so for what it’s worth I heartily applaud that. Now I know some folks would have us believe our strong rebellious streak diminishes with age, but I think the opposite, I think it never goes away.
Oh yes our methods may change but the same drive to fight for what is right remains. I won’t give DD one penny not as a campaign strategy, I simply cannot pay my hard earned dosh to someone I regard as a backstabber of a Celtic legend. Then there are his other methods, his treatment of the fans and lack of ambition, basically he has been holding us back for years imo and I’m just fed up with it.
> I get you dont buy,I dont either, only my £253 sb ticket thats it.
By “backstabber of a Celtic legend” do you mean when BR resigned?or MoN this season?
The predictable qualification failures in Europe from penny pinching and unpreparedness, is like paying to watch a fool repeatedly attempt something over and over again and constantly failing without changing his method, even though he’s surrounded by people constantly telling him how to fix the problem. You are left with no option but to walk away from him as you’re wasting your time hoping for a different outcome and you’re talking to a brick wall.
> Rook as I say above i cant consumerize Celtic like that, resulting in being that unhappy I walk away.Celtic are about me following, simple,no monies.its why i would like a defined rolling plan, that we can look back on and project forward well. Also a bigger board means a more active and dynamic role in our club, then we can redirect monies and invest differently to eradicate inefficiencies(i see our tax bill as a failure for eg)
But he sits on a huge pile of money earned from us who paid to see him try and fix the problem but he fails every time. So you think ah it’s all about the money with him and not fixing the problem but then you realize if he listened to everyone he/we/Celtic would potentially have £200+ million more than we do. How many times must this circus routine keep failing before people stop funding it or take the frigging thing off him and fix it themselves? Jesus it’s so frustrating, over and over again. I get paid to create solutions to solve problems every single day, sometimes many in a day and I do it well, I do it effectively and efficiently and it drives me to distraction watching others who can’t or won’t.
I’m scunnered with it, end of tether was reached last season but it just gets worse, “no MON you can’t have those coaches on those wages”, “ah pesky agents n stuff hampering us again”, “sorry there’s big holes in the team MON but blah blah blah”, and all the gaslighting and lying and now what ? The grand King had his croquet on the lawn interrupted by ragamuffins for a couple of minutes so he wants them banished to Guantanamo then shot? *A coup de grace. I haven’t read the latest statement only snippets from on here but this is beyond parody now, although by all means scweam and scweam but you represent an old and loved institution which is like no other in the entire world and that behavior is unbecoming of it and its paying long suffering fans.
And he said BR was a divisive figure, let that sink in for a moment.
>ah europe,big blip 66-74 wee blip 2000-3
I am a realist most seasons apart from those have been myth built back to those time periods
We seem to have a guy in charge who won’t listen to anyone but I do still hope he can have a moment, a realization and then change accordingly though that seems get further away everyday.
Last time Celtic satisfied me?
The season we played Liepzig and Chelsea (or was it Man City to) off the park, what a buzz that was, the garden of Paradise was indeed rosier then before the knives came out.
We are on the same page just different solutions to solve the same problem I think and I totally get what you do and why you do it as I have many pals who do exactly as you do without so much as a thought. It’s in their DNA passed down from generations and is not even up for question it’s just what they enjoy doing; walking on through the rain or shine.Well I and many others have walked on to but in a different direction as it’s painful to watch, but its definitely only temporary as I will go back and start ploughing my money back into Celtic but for the reasons I’ve outlined above, for the moment I just can’t. Oh I’ve gone to a few Celtic Fan Collectives demos but I wouldn’t know how to do much more as im just an ordinary peasant who it must be said has great admiration for the Celtic Ultras.
Tis only football though,a pastime, a glorified kick aboot doon the park or oot the back with a Mitre Mouldmaster and 20 a side, it could always be so much worse though… imagine supporting Sevco.
Muchos gracias for the pleasant input Nabbla especially since it’s taken my mind off my hangover for a bit, time for paracetamol and a fry up.
* Exaggerating for effect.
>Yup you have walked in a different direction, your choice rook and I respect it.i cant really understand it but I always think 2 tims agreeing is bordering on being a hun, long may we differ :-)i understand you analyse and research a lot, that is great, get digging get active, thats how David Low got started wi Celtic research,it is also how in researching Celtic charity contributions in our accounts to various would not get me 3 drinks in a dublin pub(they were published in ntv £31- thirty one-iirc one year)myth etc.1987

Trusty and Duran may be playing internationals on Wednesday. Yang and Hassan are possibly injured ( available information is vague). If MON has decided after a fortnight that he will soldier on, he will not have much time with the resources available to form a semblance of team organization for Fir Park.
His pre-game presser will be interesting. It is a certainty he will asked about St. Andrew’s.
Will he condemn the action, or will he wisely avoid the question? I really hope he cuts out the ‘old man’ blarney as well.

I don’t believe Dermot Desmond cares one way or the other about how you, me, or any other supporter feels about him.
He only cares about himself.
The main reason he hasn’t fucked off, IMO, is because enough people keep buying season tickets to make it worth his time/reputation.
Or if you prefer it another way, not enough people have stopped buying season tickets because of the way they feel about him.
The crucial point isn’t about how anyone feels about him.
It’s that if enough people hand over their money every single year (and they do) then he’ll keep on doing what he has been doing (which he does).
Seems Hassan is fit and home, as he wasn’t getting picked for midweek friendly, Nygren sent home a few days ago with a virus

Re BR.
I didnt trust BR2.
I thought it was an error.
DD imo went against board and tailored advice and re-employed.DD wanted BR as his man
Go back on this blog to the time BR1 done his flit.i would wager you felt the same as many posters, and being a divisive figure then, was the lighter of insults.
BR2 came, and we both know it was nowhere near BR1 in terms of training, team and performance
Much as BR is a brilliant coach on his 2nd spell I thought he was laboured.I am not fully aware of both sides of argument, and I suspect neither are you.imo overall BR stands at no3 in managers contribution In my life.managers, directors, players and my fellow Celts move on,thats life but above all that is the constant that is Celtic,I go.typing is just a vent to most folk.

Star,
Interesting for sure.
You’ll know I pretty much agree that things could change if enough people made a stand and stopped funding the whole operation, I just try hard not to be one of those guy’s that spends his days constantly pointing that out to season tickets holders who just want to see their team.
Before anyone who does that takes offence at me saying so, I’d make it clear again i only speak for me and have little interest in changing other people’s minds.

MIT,
Don’t forget the rise of the independence movement in Alberta and the influence of down South agents in that movement.
Any regional party pushing to leave Canada at the moment is rushing headlong into the influence of an expansionist US president. The rest of us would have to pay that price.
In Quebec, they have some realisation that the value of a political nuclear deterrent is in the threat not the utilisation. Alberta still has to learn that lesson.

How are you doing? Still waiting?
My parents lived in Alberta for 25 years, so increasingly heard more talk from their friends about separatism over the years.
My sense is that the pro-US/Independence movement in Alberta is quite vocal (emboldened by Trumpism in the States) but not that popular at the moment. most polls I have seen have it at between 15-20%
funny, but it is the Federal Tories I know (friends, but not close ones!) who are most concerned, as they think that losing Alberta from the frederal vote would mean a liberal majority forever in what remains of Canada.
Hi MIT,
Yes, I am still waiting on the results of the biopsy. It is almost 4 weeks since the surgery. The more limited biopsy results arrived after 5 weeks.
I think your friends in Alberta are correct that support for separation in Alberta is declining but I am reminded of the David Cameron scenario where he thought a Brexit vote would be rejected by his party, only for that to explode in his( and the UK’s) face.
I just watched David Low’s interview on the Celtic Exchange…. Very interesting. It is on Youtube if you care to search for it.
It is hard to figure why he has created the Celtic Supporters Ltd vehicle. What is his agenda since he is the type that will have one?
His proposed resolution for the AGM to have the club employ the services of a company to re-unite lost shares with their legal owners….will be revealing in terms of who votes against it.

CELTIC COLLECTIVE UPDATE
Good afternoon,
We would like to take the opportunity to update you on a number of recent developments involving the Celtic Fans Collective. This is a lengthy update, but we would appreciate members taking the time to read it in full and, where appropriate, sharing it with those you represent.
Celtic Connect / Fan Engagement Model
Celtic Fans Collective representatives met with John Paul Taylor (Head of Fan Engagement) and George Campbell (Head of Legal & Governance) on Tuesday 22nd September.
Our representatives presented detailed proposals on what a successful fan engagement model could look like at Celtic, stressing in particular the importance of democratic selection processes, genuine representation of the support and the ability for any supporters’ body to set its own agenda in its engagement with the Club.
The Club representatives listened to our feedback and agreed with some aspects of what was presented, although they did not have the autonomy to make decisions on the proposals during the meeting. Campbell was difficult throughout, and his general tone and demeanour towards our representatives did little to inspire confidence that our proposals would be taken forward.
Nonetheless, we remained hopeful that something constructive could emerge from the meeting. We were assured that a decision on whether the Club was prepared to engage further with us on these proposals would be communicated by the following week. That commitment was not honoured and no further communication followed.
Throughout the summer, the Collective has consistently acknowledged the glaring deficiencies across the Club while making clear our willingness to engage positively and proactively in trying to address them. Ultimately, our objective is to see supporters and the Club return to a far more positive and constructive relationship.
For months, however, we have had numerous emails go unanswered and held several phone calls with Club representatives in which we have repeatedly requested meaningful engagement. Protests have been called off and there has been a strong effort from supporters, including the Collective, to create the space for constructive dialogue with Celtic FC.
Unfortunately, that effort has not been reciprocated. At some point, we have to acknowledge the reality that supporters cannot build a constructive relationship with the Club on our own.
St Andrews (home of golf) Protest
Saturday’s protest at the home of golf has generated significant publicity and resulted in another late-night statement from Celtic FC, which included an attack on the Celtic Fans Collective. It is therefore important that we explain clearly to members how events unfolded.
The Collective committee met on Tuesday evening to discuss the meeting with Celtic FC, feedback on Not Another Penny, the forthcoming AGM and the allocation of responsibilities among committee members to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
During that meeting, a committee member advised that they had been made aware of plans by supporters to hold a protest on Saturday afternoon and wanted to ensure the Collective was also aware of them.
The plans had been coordinated by a small number of CSCs. These CSCs are members of the Collective. Given the likelihood that the demonstration would, regardless, be assumed to have been coordinated by the Celtic Fans Collective, a decision was taken that evening to support those involved and ensure that participating supporters were not left isolated, exposed or financially out of pocket.
Clearly, had Celtic responded positively and in good faith following the meeting the previous week, a subsequent decision may have been taken to encourage supporters to postpone the protest while constructive discussions were taking place. No such response came and the protest proceeded.
The supporters who gave up their Saturday and put themselves at risk to send a message to Dermot Desmond should be commended. It was a non-violent, legitimate and peaceful demonstration that clearly succeeded in drawing significant attention to concerns.
We should all be prepared to defend the right of Celtic supporters to protest peacefully. Equally, we believe the support should stand together and robustly defend any supporter who subsequently faces disciplinary action from Celtic FC as a consequence of participating in this.
Not Another Penny
Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback on whether the Not Another Penny campaign should continue or be suspended.
We received a wide range of views, with a majority in favour of continuing the campaign.
It is important to note that much of the feedback was submitted before the home matches against Rangers and Ferencvaros, while all responses were received before the events of this weekend. Given the subsequent strength of feeling across the support, we believe it is reasonable to conclude that support for continuing the campaign is unlikely to have diminished.
As a result, Not Another Penny will continue, with renewed vigour and fresh campaign material.
We do recognise that some members felt the campaign had run its course, with some indicating that they were prepared to return to purchasing merchandise. We also understand the practical difficulties for supporters, particularly those with children who want the latest strips or simply want to buy a drink at half-time.
All we ask is that supporters back the campaign as much as they reasonably can. It is having an impact and remains one of the sharpest tools available to supporters seeking to apply pressure for meaningful change at Celtic.
In the coming weeks, we intend to select a home fixture at which we will leaflet season ticket holders and further promote the campaign. Any members willing to volunteer and assist with that effort would be greatly appreciated.
Podcast
Paul Quigley will join The Cynic tomorrow (Tuesday) and hopefully further podcast appearances with other fan media outlets will follow soon after.
It is important that we continue to share our message with fellow supporters and ensure that the movement for positive change at the Club continues to gain momentum.
Fundraising
At our last members’ meeting, it was recommended that we make a fresh appeal for donations to support the work of the Collective.
Our current balance stands at £429.67. As our activity increases, so too will costs associated with campaigning, printing materials, meetings and the general operation of the organisation.
A contribution of £20 from each member organisation and as little as £3 from individuals would make a significant difference and help ensure the Collective has the resources required to continue its work.

Good luck with the results.
As for David Low , I think the move to reunite shareholders) families and their shares is a decent one and in fairness, doesn’t benefit Low or the club directly.
What it does do , however, is give those small shareholders recourse to voting en- bloc in AGM matters- which is hugely important in affecting change.

It isn’t going to enable any meaningful change. The numbers just aren’t there. The measure itself is worthwhile in itself, it’s just not particularly relevant to the issue at hand. The risk is it becomes a distraction or displacement activity. There’s enough of that as it is.
There’s a saying that Generals always fight the previous war. I think that’s what’s happening with this.
The Huns aren’t taking losing the Tennents sixes very well. Jesus that’s pathetic

SL and Ernie,
I understand how the CSL is supposed to work. I do not think it is a bad thing to re-unite Celtic shareholders with their own property. I also do not think the numbers are there to refute anything DD and Lindsell Train want to happen or not happen. I am sure Low knows this. So what is his agenda? Altruistic? Be a player? What?
If he gets the proxy of grateful shareholders, what can he achieve? If he gets at least 5% of the total shares, he can call an EGM….so what?
Low’s proposed resolution stands in stark contrast to that proposed by the CST!!!
The latter wants RD to apologise to Celtic fans for his statement at the last AGM. Chances of that happening are next to zero. It is a self aggrandizement suggestion with no practical outcome.
Nice chatting,

I don’t think Low has any illusions about being any kind of a major player. He’s been at the centre of things in the past and he’s never going to be able to top that. He’s an ardent fan, always has been, and probably just thinks he has to do something given the state things are in.
Off topic.
