On again/Off again
It might well be said that the relationship between the executive and the supporters is akin to that of an unhappy couple always bickering at each other with the occasional outburst of fury breaking into the public domain.
So it happened on Saturday when we were once again graced with a Dermot rant broadcast through the clubs media only not bearing his name.
The sanctity of the golf course was not only breached but his presence in those circles brought disruption which never elevates ones standing in quality circles. His rant may as well have been four words,,you crossed the line,,,and it is clear now that his personal line has been crossed.
The Collective, fresh off being welcomed back into the fold of approved to talk with, got the blame and the door publicly slammed in their face and divorce papers served judging by Dermots tenor. I’ve genuinely no idea if that blame is correct or misplaced but blame was cast. Left with nothing to lose and everything to gain the Collective have since announced they will be doubling down on their efforts.
Its an impasse that makes the Hormuz Strait look like small-talk and backing the beleaguered team and manager to the maximum appears increasingly unlikely in the midst of fresh hostilities on Kerrydale Street. Sidelining a huge swalve of the support is never a wise course of action and if the Tims grow exasperated on the park plus off it then there will be a tidal wave of determination to drive proper change through, whatever that looks like.
The problem with issuing battle cry’s is that one day battle arrives.
The problem with making the place toxic is that the buck stops with him and the board.
The new manager is already on a loser what with the numerous qualifiers, late budget arrivals, and a world famous club at war with itself.
But its all our fault.

I’ve just read on X that the CSL are alleging that Despot and the Lackeys are going to attempt to hold the AGM via Zoom!
It’s currently not legal to do this apparently. That probably won’t stop them though.
Nygren not even on bench for Sweden.
Presumably still ill, or not recovered fitness.
Iniv
I read earlier that Nygren and 2 teammates were sent home today due to illness.
A spin around cyberspace tonight has all the Hun media lining up behind Despot. They know he is their man at Celtic.
Bored by the board
Spot on. 👍 Big Dermo is most definitely a Hun fifth-columnist. I cannot think of anything else that explains his actions towards the club and the whole support.
Hail Hail.
Btw.. huns Tennents sixes team were on £2k a man, had a hotel, team bus and were in te gym and massages every day whilst the other old guys were battering pints… and still got pumped …
BTTB
They should be backing DD. They fucking owe him.if you had to select one person most responsible for them still having a club, its him.

Leggy, I was intending to come along on Friday, as I would love to meet INIQUITOUS IV .
But I believe a certain individual is going, so I’m going to give it a miss.
Hope you have a great day

It’s amazing that sometimes blog disagreements can be discussed better over a couple of pints 🍺
We’ve even sent invites to

What we all share in common is that we all love Celtic but there are different kinds of love so which one of these applies? Nabbla you have already stated yours.
The Primary Greek Concepts of Love
Agape (Selfless / Unconditional Love): An expansive, universal, and volitional love that gives without expecting anything in return. In Christian theology, it mirrors God’s unconditional love for humanity and requires deliberate action and self-sacrifice for the good of others.Eros (Passionate / Romantic Love): Named after the Greek god of fertility and desire, Eros is the romantic, physical, or sexual type of love. It involves intense longing, passion, and emotional or physical attraction.Philia (Deep Friendship / Brotherly Love): A bond built on deep trust, mutual respect, and shared values or camaraderie between equals. It is chosen freely rather than born of instinct.Storge (Familial Love): A natural, familiar affection most often seen in the protective love of parents for their children or long-term bonds among family members.Any of the above missing or in short supply?

It will be as welcome as a fart in a space suit to the CSL.
David Low, a business partner for a while with the Rangers Director who agreed that the potential £2.8m liability owed to HMRC re wee tax case was no longer one and became a payable and overdue 10 days later if not paid, which it wasn’t. He ran interference on Res 12 from the beginning.
It also sets out the self defeating folly of Not a Penny More which just hands the Board the excuse to reduce playing squad costs and so player quality.
With regard to the CST, Resolution One on Strategy I will support as establishing the Purpose of Celtic has been a core matter to end division for me and along same lines that I put to The AGM last year.
Resolution One – Strategic Review
Supporting statementThe erosion of trust and confidence in the Celtic Board, which reached a crescendo last season, forcing supporters in their huge numbers to campaign against the Board has continued. Regardless of the recently announced changes at Board and executive level, we continue to perform as a company at well below what can reasonably be expected in a number of important areas: stadium infrastructure, recruitment strategy, security, supporter engagement and communications among others.
A published strategic plan (not a wish list) would both address the clear problems with the company and provide the degree of transparency and openness to start to repair the rift between the Board and the supporters/shareholders. Such a plan would have to contain short-, medium- and longterm measurable goals, with appropriate staging posts so that progress towards success can be assessed. This plan should be shared, in an appropriate format, with all stakeholders ie shareholders and supporters through engagement mechanisms which are fit for purpose. Such a plan could address issues such as the development of the stadium (main stand and increased rail seating section).
Here is the link for shareholders here to support it.
https://celtictrust.net/2026-agm-resolution-one/
PS. I will not let my distrust of Jeanette Findlay who was given a copy of The Doncaster 5WA e mail that went to David Low and was never used get in the way of supporting anything I agree with.
Off to Watch Blue Lights Season 4 on BBC. Love it
All leggy is trying to do with the ship bank meet up is bring people together and have a chat (celtic minded or not), drink and maybe a laugh.
Unfortunately some people do not have the privilege of walking out their front door to take part and no one knows when this privilege will be taken away .
If your not sure about going the worst that can happen is you head home again and best is you make new friends and have more memories celtic related or not.
Thise who meet up have a great time and remember the photos 💚

Way back when I used to loosely organise a dayoooot for the troops (the Hootenannies) it was always an open invitation. But because I didn’t put the venue onto the site-CQN-it meant that attendees had to mail me to find out. I did this, on the advice of others, to stop any lurking huns turning up and ruining the occasion. Very popular they were, but covid wrecked it. Heyho…
Anyway, one thing I always dreaded was e-mails from people who pissed me off on that blog! But it always went well, people are usually much more pleasant in person than my perception from the other end of a keyboard. I won’t name names, but one person that I was really dreading turning up did just that, and we hit it off spectacularly! Not just that day, but we would often bump into each other at other functions. A diamond of a guy, and much missed.
As you say, the worst that can happen is you head home early. But the likely outcome is much much better.

Remote AGMs are legal, but only if agreed by 75% of shareholders. I think we know how that vote will go.
Bobby totally agree 👍 how many times do u dread going somewhere and it ends up a great night.
I started a lunch club over here last year and it went so well someone else has taken over the organising this year which I hope to get to for the laughs and company.

Just can’t help yourself, can you??
The other day it was “I know I should just ignore you ..but”
You seem to suffer from that lack of self-awareness I’m always attributing to Desmond and his lackeys.
I’ll say it again so that everyone has zero doubt which one of us would rather have peace (The only way to achieve that is by ignoring eachother) I neither want to read your stuff, and I certainly DO NOT want to engage with you ..so
Please keep my name out your mouth, eh? This will be the last time I do this, as you are obviously trying to bait me.
From here on I’ll let others judge what you are up to by constantly using my name ..even though I’ve now been asking you for years to just ignore me.
I know – for certain – you will get the last word …
The floor is yours.

Wish I could get a bet on the chances of this amounting to anything.
When was the last time we bought a player based simply on a need the team has?
And when was the last time we bought a player who was already at the age of 32-33?
There’s only so many times you can point out what our team lacks, before it gets to the stage you are actually boring yourself with it …but, this type of experienced defensive midfielder is EXACTLY what our team has missed for years now.
I keep coming back to the same question all the time – Why hasn’t it been done? And the only conclusion I can come to is, it has been done on purpose, so as to make us just vulnerable enough that we don’t get too far ahead of the chasing pack.
You can see the number of people – those that are cynical about our custodians intentions – growing with the passing of each day, and who can blame them when you look at how they treat the most important people at the club.
Rather than reign themselves back and create the opportunity for peace to break out, they constantly set a tone that’s more war-like than anything.
I believe their attitude shows a couple of things about their character type – 1, that they seem to be utter self absorbed and unable to see how they are viewed by a growing section of our fans ..and 2, that knowing or not, they are giving the impression that they just don’t care enough about us to show they take what we think/feel as being in any way important to them.
They keep drawing battle lines for a war they cannot win.
B A D
A sustained war of attrition will have no winners. The club will be mired in mediocrity and self destruct.
Domestic dominance can quickly go the way of our Euro credibility, and irrelevance will be the order of the day. It’s already smouldering.
Ex machina,
That’s kinda what I mean. There will be no winners, but there certainly will be losers, and as usual that will be us the fans.
The difference between how much each side cares about the club is obvious to anyone paying attention. It is obviously not about money or personal gain to us, can Desmond and the board say the same?

====
Glad to hear it.
I was going by other comments you made to me that were not exactly friendly which made me think it was.
At least you were direct.
Its a shame there has been a fall out with someone else to the degree it stops you attending.
I have a view on why Celtic recruit as they do and football needs come secondary to finance.
Older players have less sell on value than younger.
Sell on value is not to put money in DDs or any of the Board’s pockets, it goes into the new players pockets.
It is a consequence of how FSR works but as that is seen as an excuse rather than the cause I hope what I say next is not discounted and might even cause a change of mind.
The reason I mention FSR is not to make excuses but to help the understanding of how Celtic have been operating long before FSR made it a football rule all clubs have to abide by.
Its intent is to deflate players wages where average players have less on field value than the wage they get.
For example I dont recall the cost of obtaining Tounetki or his wages but he is not providing value for money on the park.
Desmond and his lackeys would run a mile, if they thought at the end of that mile there was something more lucrative than their association with Celtic brings them.
Anyone who believes they hang around simply out of a deep love for Celtic is naive in the extreme.
New balls please.
Seb Tounekti was a £5M “look who is left on deadline day” panic buy after we’d decided BR wasn’t getting any more money. By which time of course we’d been Kairatted out of the CL,
He’s ‘no very good’ but better than Balikwisha ( mind him ) his wing partner from the same window.
Monuments to why we’ll just leave the money in the bank and get James McCarthy, Iheanacho, AOC, now Bakayoko.
Not a serious club with proper long term planning and joined up recruitment.
5 days before match day we don’t even know if we’ve a manager and are busy with more threats on supporters, over a peaceful protest.

As you addressed me I think I should reply.
On lacking self awareness you show every aspect of it.
You make judgements of me with no idea about what I am like as a person or indeed the efforts I have made and time spent on trying to influence Celtic to communicate better.
The biggest barrier is they think it is a waste of time because of supporters like you who hold unshakeable ideas about the motivations at Celtic.
You yourself spoke of not letting others influence you I think that is why you dont trust me.
I might make you think and in doing so you might have to realise you are wrong.
If you had any self awareness of what you project you would never call people rats or invent Board lackeys that do not exist but your judgement of me comes from the same dark place of not knowing.
When I write on SC its based on what I do know laced with the uncerainty of what I dont.
You are not even aware of what you dont know so give your judgement of me of not being self aware a rest. Plank in your own eye.
Those who know me better than you may not agree with me but it never reaches rat level.
You are taking me into judgement territory but I find your behaviour towards fellow human beings repulsive, but you must have reasons I do not know so my judgement ends there.
Ive never walked in your shoes and you certainly have not walked in mine.
I hope this post is not removed and is used to remind me I promised to scroll past your comments in future.

BAD, Auldheid.
I generally enjoy your posts but I’ve disagreed with both of you too- what a bore it would be if we all agreed. However, can I ask BAD to please not respond to Auldheid’s most recent post of 3.17 and to Auldheid to actually just scroll past Big Audio Dynamite’s posts on everything. Your feud is becoming a serious pain-in-the-ars*.
There are interesting things surrounding Celtic and football as a whole these days and the posts here are often illuminating, amusing and informative but you pair both behaving like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford but unfortunately you’re less entertaining than either of those grand dames- and more importantly you are both better than Baby Jane and her sister.
Jimbo
Auldheid,
All of this, running to years now, is happening simply because you can deal with ONE man telling you be doesn’t believe your story of motivation for what you do, so don’t kid on its about anything else.
If someone said they didn’t believe me and it would be best if we just didn’t converse, you can believe that’s the last time that person would have heard from me ..not you though, your ego just won’t allow you to let it go.
No one called YOU a rat, and as St Tams said to you earlier, everything isn’t always about you, get over yourself ffs.
Again, I’ll let others judge what you are up to by constantly trying to engage me, while also trying to paint me in a very negative light, and they too will wonder why you just can’t let it lay.
Everyone has to trust you, everyone obviously has to believe your story, or you spend years hounding them.
Like I say, I’m quite sure about you, and no amount of scweaming and screaming will change my mind about you, in fact the exact opposite.
Remember, what I say about Desmond and the board is absolutely nothing to do with you, and some might wonder why you are so bothered ..
And please save me your nonsense about just wanting us all I love each other.
Now you can say what you like, you are not dragging into the kind of shit you seem to thrive on.
I’ll do me over here, and you do you over there.
Jimbo,
That’s years I’ve been asking him to just scroll by and stop trying to engage with me ..fucking years. If someone said they don’t want to talk to you, wouldn’t that be enough for you? I’m sure it would.
He just seems utterly incapable of dealing with anyone who says they don’t believe him.
My last word on this pish, cause as I said, I know exactly what he’s attempting to do.
