On again/Off again
It might well be said that the relationship between the executive and the supporters is akin to that of an unhappy couple always bickering at each other with the occasional outburst of fury breaking into the public domain.
So it happened on Saturday when we were once again graced with a Dermot rant broadcast through the clubs media only not bearing his name.
The sanctity of the golf course was not only breached but his presence in those circles brought disruption which never elevates ones standing in quality circles. His rant may as well have been four words,,you crossed the line,,,and it is clear now that his personal line has been crossed.
The Collective, fresh off being welcomed back into the fold of approved to talk with, got the blame and the door publicly slammed in their face and divorce papers served judging by Dermots tenor. I’ve genuinely no idea if that blame is correct or misplaced but blame was cast. Left with nothing to lose and everything to gain the Collective have since announced they will be doubling down on their efforts.
Its an impasse that makes the Hormuz Strait look like small-talk and backing the beleaguered team and manager to the maximum appears increasingly unlikely in the midst of fresh hostilities on Kerrydale Street. Sidelining a huge swalve of the support is never a wise course of action and if the Tims grow exasperated on the park plus off it then there will be a tidal wave of determination to drive proper change through, whatever that looks like.
The problem with issuing battle cry’s is that one day battle arrives.
The problem with making the place toxic is that the buck stops with him and the board.
The new manager is already on a loser what with the numerous qualifiers, late budget arrivals, and a world famous club at war with itself.
But its all our fault.

Good point. It’s not like we spend anywhere near our limit anyway.

The point I am trying to make is that financial information and audit trails from accountants executives or lawyers is just a bunch of lies. You are calculating the square root of fuck all

Arriving late to the debate on “football” income but here is my humble offering.
==============
Just noticed your post after I posted from AI. That UEFA allow it will have come from clubs with large stadiums and a good size supporter catchment area. It might help sustainability but not the rich club poor club gap.
Its the rich what gets the pleasure and the poor that make them rich what gets the blame.

They have a lot to answer for but without any rules to deter there would be no Man City issue and football would lose any claim to be a sport and become a circus with less appeal.

it’s already a circus.
Im assuming you watched the World Cup?

Missing the point?
On my lengthy scroll back I thought that the basic question was whether any of the ‘Oasis money’ would come into the FSR calculations? If it doesn’t it is still, nevertheless, a source of income that could then be used, just not on the playing squad?
Or maybe I’ve missed the point?
=======
Yes it can be used to add to other UEFA defined football earnings see my explanatory post.
Its like profit from selling a player and a good move if Celtic spend it on the playing squad..
How near to the FSR limit Celtic spend is the real issue.
The matter of who profits only came up earlier when Oasis gigs got mentioned.

Think of it this way.
When Emperor Constantine saw his vision in the 3rd Century Jesus was already a fairy story. Like FSR.

Is life is so terrible why are you hanging about sharing your misery Mags?
If you break it all down to atoms under the quantum theory,it all become hopeless with no purpose.
Just a series of atoms randomly bumping into each other. That is not my experience.
I see the illusion and I am trying to make the best of it, rather than get depressed by it.
I am a lot less certain than you are that I’m right.
It might just be a coping mechanism, but it makes my life, ups and downs, purposeful.
How do you cope?

Who is deciding Oasis gig income?

Three separate issues.
One. Is it a good idea to raise income?
Two how much will be spent on playing squad?
Three Who profits and how?

The World Cup circus? The clowns were the organisers in that one more than the players.
Still attracted big crowds and Boston loved it.
