If you’re going down, go down fighting!
I’m going to be brief for once, as there’s really nothing to say. My words mean next to nothing, Celtic will do their talking on the pitch, and no doubt give us plenty to talk about rendering a lead article virtually useless.
I don’t want this journey to end but chances are tonight is Parkheads last European foray for the season.
Chances are we get beaten.
Chances are the enormous gap in both clubs finances shows itself when the final whistle blows.
But chance itself is a fickle thing, never to be relied upon, but to be fully celebrated when it smiles on the unfavoured, the underdog, the lucky recipient. I’ve seen bigger clubs than Bayern walk away from East Glasgow stunned. Watched much better players than Harry Kane leave empty handed. Saw 11 heroes in Hoops leave European football shocked and bedazzled.
I’ve only one wish, and it’s not a win or even a draw.
It’s a simple wish.
It’s that we truly give them a proper game tonight.
If the Germans progress they progress, but I want them to be made to work for it, to be forced into digging deep.
Leave it all on the pitch Celtic, walk off that sacred turf knowing you truly gave it everything you had, and let the footballing God’s deal with the rest. If you go down, go down fighting.
We’re all behind you, you’ve made us proud.
God Bless you Bhoys.
You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Penalty check, ref sent to the screen.
I thought that was a penalty. Stepped on Engels foot
Salah right foot rocket puts Liverpool 2-1 up at Goodison.
Should be a penalty.
No penalty. Bummer.
Bastert
Stood on Engels foot, VAR felt it was a penalty, ref doesn’t give it.
Defender just got a touch before standing on Engles foot.
VAR probably right but Bayern would have got that 😁
We are playing out from the back against the side that is the most successful pressing side in the Champions League. No wonder our passing is backwards.
Get Maeda up against Dier.
In real time, I thought that was a penalty. But on replay, it looked like he nicked the ball then landed on his foot. No penalty then? Sol Kitts?
Too frigging slow in the buildup.
Down 2-0 at hime after 61 minutes, and we have no one on the bench to change the game?
Are we waiting until 3-0?
3 wingers coming on.
Our changes should have been made at halftime, instead of following a formula that takes no account of game circumstances.
time Taylor was removed

I thought it was a penalty. Getting the ball first no longer means it’s not a foul. He clearly got a slight nick on the ball but followed through onto Engels’ foot. As CT rightly said, Bayern would have got that if it had been at the other end.
There’s no team in Europe who consistently loses goals at the times we do, first 5 minutes, before and after HT
We can only pass the way we are facing, apparently.
We just invite pressure
2 goals from LB spot, so I get taking off Taylor. But, think I would have thrown Maeda up beside Idah, and brought a mid off for Jota. Idah had a quiet game, but hasnt had much service. If you are going to open up and throw a few balls into the box, Idah is the best in the box finisher
This playing out from the back is feekin suicidal. Punt the baw ffs!
Is Jota playing through the middle?
Great save.
SK
obviously im unsure on that call. Going back and forth. But agree that is the kind of call that the big teams usually get
BADA
Losing them in clutches is what gets me.
We are not remotely at the races here.
Maeda so close
Maeda close after robbing the keeper.
All the Bayern players control the ball first touch while simultaneously moving.
Damn, we needed Henrik there.
At least give us one goal, Celtic.
Yang on for Kühn.
Kane, from his own half, with one pass shows what our midfield are incapable of doing.
Engels, who I think has been very good, is out on his feet.
Jogging back no where near catching up with play
Yang gives it away immediately.

thats where Engels got left behind
Guerrero at left back, had the easiest game of his life
Maeda scores, scrappy but who cares, 1-2
Maeda!!!!!!!
MAEDA
Referee looks unhappy that Celtic scored.
Let’s go!
Spoiler alert …
watching Liverpool game at the same time … Everton score in the 98th minute to draw 2-2 … then it all kicks off
Hatate shot blocked. Corner.
Well done for Maeda … he deserved a goal for the work he has put in
Just think of the co-efficient, Celtic!
Who’d a thunk Yang would make such a difference
C’Mon Celtic!
One more!
Good cross from Schlupp. Chance for Jota, over bar.
It’s just like watching the Famous Glasgow Celtic now
Maeda decks countryman.
That goal is huge. Down 0-2 would be difficult to overturn. But the first 30 seconds show that all it takes is a half chance … so even down 1-2, there is still a chance in the return
