It may feel like a bit of an anti-climax to win in this way,but it isn’t. Not really. We had two games a week from the return after the break,and every time the gap widened was like winning the league every time!

IMO,Izzy was our best left back since Big Tam. And while that is damning by faint praise for a genuine problem position for us for FORTY years,think back on the players we had there in that time.

All in all another Celtic treble I done in 2 mins. Today for example. I have a rough idea what the lyrics will be and I bang it out. Guitar strings getting on for 6 months old (lockdown) also sounds shitey. And I cant sing for toffee .. 35 years smoking
If I genuinely sat down with one and practiced it .. it would be a whole lot better …my fault
I keep all of them though even the out takes. I will promise to show a few that didn´t make the cut .. mainly due to me being overly pissed.

Absolutely brilliant that its been announced, I was fearing that something was afoot and the PLC would act ‘surprised’ again, not this time. I remember being there with my dad at our first 9 in a row as an almost ten year old, thinking that it was just by the way as Celtic won the league every year anyway, and failing to comprehend the significance of it, the next two years certainly taught me a lesson.

There’s been a few good Celtic days around my birthday ??
I am thinking of those close to us who never got to see the repeat 9iar achieved, but we have a whole new generation for whom this is the first time they will experience this milestone. So, any sadness caused by reminiscence should soon be eclipsed with joy for the current fanbase.
Leaving aside the great rift caused by our Board’s cowardice in 2012, Celtic, the team, were written off and abandoned by a few fans at various times over that 9iar run, most recently after Sevco beat us at CP in Dec 2019. But this squad is driven by winners in NFL and Broony. What they lack in ability, they make up for with a confidence and an earned arrogance on the field. They intimidate other teams with superior power and superior skill and a home backing that can still get it up for the bigger matches.
So, even though we did not get to enjoy our final run-in on the field, there will be no low-key downbeat reaction to this win.

KevJungle, You weren’t alone in thinking something might be afoot. I had a wee debate with a few on here about a month ago whether we would be crowned champions or not. I could see where they were coming from but after closing down the lower 3 leagues and declaring their champions there was no way they could get away with not doing so with the Premiership. A Precedent had been set! Told ye so! 🙂

Awe Naw, Don’t know if you listened to the Dylan song that Bobby posted earlier but although there is two other guitars on stage, you can barely hear them. It’s Bob’s acoustic rhythm playing that dominates. And then of course there is also the humble tambourine! This is what I was trying to tell you. You need to get the wife or kids? or a neighbour to accompany you. it makes all the difference buddy 🙂

As I said to Bobby it´s just a bit of fun that’s all. I could get the pedal and drum machine out and lay down a few textures and practice but I´m normally onto it spontaneously while just slightly inebriated so pulling in my dour faced German neighbours for the job would probably get me arrested. 🙂
