Danger in Dingwall
‘Be careful what you wish for’ is often said in regards to football, well this weekend affords the opportunity for the old saying to come true again.
Brendan’s team formation has truly came under the microscope since the team stopped firing on all cylinders and suffered a humiliating defeat.
Well, that formation is going out the window today up in Dingwall, something different must emerge as we cannot fall back on the usual.
Can’t play a style geared towards wing players if you don’t have them fit and available.
The situation is incredible, 4 wingers unavailable at the same time, I cannot recall such a thing. Ross County must be rubbing their hands with glee, but for Celtic change also brings opportunity.
There’s 3 options,
Yang and a youngster wide and try to play 4-3-3 as normal as possible.
Kyogo on the left with Adam upfront.
Switch to 4-5-1 with 4 central midfielders plus Yang or just a plain old 4-4-2 with 4 central midfielders across the park.
Option 1, a kid gets his dream chance and so does Yang, again.
Option 2 offers the opportunity (at last) of getting a partnership between Adam and Kyogo.
Option 3, if a forced tactical switch results in a good team performance, Brendan gets a free lesson.
Change also brings the chance of not adapting sufficiently, I recall an earlier game when several new faces were brought into the starting lineup and the result was disappointing.
It was already going to be a tough game in the freezing cold, only two days rest and recovery after the Tangerines, and it would be easy to say the footballing God’s haven’t been kind through our numerous injuries,,we will soon find out.
There’s a (good) chance events like this kickstart some player acquisitions, given the gulf in class from Maeda to Palma, Kuhn to Yang, another wide man was always on the agenda, and now the sales and loans have genuinely started there’s funds and room available. One for each flank would be nice if not sensible.
So while there’s definitely danger in Dingwall, Celtic are fortunate these particular 3 points aren’t absolutely critical as others shot themselves in the foot. I’d love nothing better than come tonight, posters are demanding we stick to that style, the formation which brought about a positive change of play.
Up The Hoops!

Would you be old enough to remember Bernadette Devlin’s first speaking tour in the US?
The one where the Irish American organizers refused entry to African Americans.
————————————–
Shocking,if true.
They should have been reminded that their forefathers fought and died in the fields of Fredericksburg and Gettysburg for the emancipation of slaves.
JFK and RFK would have been appalled.
Pitymevin knew you didn’t mean it 👍👍😎😎❤️
Packy don’t worry it will probably be shut in two years any
Pitymevin let’s hope so❤️❤️😎😎🙏
Sheep’s new signings on the park vs Hertz.
Would like to see Sheep run into a bit of form before their upcoming game at Snake Mountain.
Hertz under the gun in first 11 minutes.
I’ll be keeping my eye on Penrice, as nothing seems to be happening with GT negotiations.
Shankland nowhere to be seen, not even on bench. Hmmmm…….Is a move to a certain bankrupt club of scrofulous hillbillies on the cards?
Some very nice early touches from the left footed Penrice.
Geez, Bromley 1-0 up at Newcastle. Funny how often the FA Cup has wee teams performing heroically.
Ach, Sevco 1-0 up.
St. Johnstone collapse in 20 minutes. 2-0.
Penrice playing really well in a poor game.

BP was very quick to react to your accusation that he was a hun. You may be on to something there.
I always suspected it was actually wee Joan that was at the Vojvodina game and told him all about it on a date.
Total chancer!

I recall Hibs being 2 nil down after 20 mins, and we know how that turned out
3-0 at Snake Mountain. Wonder how many will walk out at 55 minutes now?
Big Sutton thinks Baldemorte will get a new contract at this rate.🤣

Hi Craig:
Don’t know if their back, but I’ve heard somewhere “the Raingurrs are coming.”🤣
Referee McLean denies Penrice stonewall free kick just outside the box.
Apart from bias, the vast majority of Scottish refs are just plain incompetent.
McKenna, late of the Sheep parish, is surprisingly holding his place in the Las Palmas side in La Liga.
Don’t know whether to switch to Arsenal – Man U, or go watch some paint dry. Sheep -Hertz game is simply dire.
Let’s see how many walk out on 56
Wouldn’t be surprised if the huns start fighting each other when they walk oot!
Saints score in minute 55!
From Hollow Hollow:
Shout of “hurry up and leave ya wee fannies!” Rings out in Main Stand.
Saints score just before the walkout.
Ha, boos as Onion Bears walk out.
Back to other games.

As good a penalty save as you’ll see in the Mau U game.
Entire section behind goal of black clad Onion Bears walk out to boos from the rest of the crowd, who stay in their seats. Not exactly what the Onions planned! Ironically, the previously quiet crowd starts singing in their absence.
Their next statement is going to be a wee bit difficult to compose, methinks. Their protest was a complete bust.
No idea what the onion bears are trying to achieve, at least those on their board poured money into the club to keep the lights on £20m?
The wee arseholes buy a ST 🙃
Penalty to Hertz.
The Dane Nilsson reckless.
The Aberdeen No6 thug gives away a penalty, saved.
Hertz miss penalty. Brilliant Ross Doolan save.
Dreadful game.
Can’t see Sheep doing anything at Snake Mountain on Wednesday.
That missed Hearts penalty (stonewaller).
If that had been given to us they’d be screaming ‘yer allowed contact in the box’.
Aberdeen, after bright start, were crap. Huns will do them easily.
Hearts Penrice had a good game, interesting player.

Things you like to see. EBT Arteta getting dumped out of the cup by 10 man Manchester United.
HI SOL how are you pal, went to basildon once it was closed, then billericay that was also closed, but laindon was open ,quiz question what famous carry on star was born in laindon ???
Tierney got a few minutes for the Gunners today.
Apparently St J improved in the second half, I fancy the Dandies to take something mid week.
I stopped watching the 🐑 v hertz game. Dreadful they will get nothing at the bigotdome….
What an utter embarrassment
